Cyberpunk: Edgerunners season 2 announced: The anime will explore redemption and revenge in Netflix sequel
Fans who loved David Martinez's tragic journey will get a fresh story set in the same brutal, neon-lit world of Night City but this time, with new faces and a new director at the helm.
A new story in Night City
Sztybor, who returns as the showrunner and writer, confirmed that Edgerunners 2 will not continue David's storyline. Instead, the sequel will tell a new, stand-alone story centred around themes of redemption and revenge. 'We're going deeper into the dark side of Night City,' said Sztybor. 'It's going to feel raw and real, something totally different from the first season.'

Studio TRIGGER remains onboard as the animation partner, ensuring the same high-energy style that fans loved the first time around.
New director, same style
Hiroyuki Imaishi, who directed the original Edgerunners, officially passed the torch to Kai Ikarashi. Known for his work on SSSS.Gridman and the first Edgerunners, Ikarashi will make his directorial debut with the sequel.
Ikarashi joined the panel via video message, sharing his passion for the series and offering a sneak peek into his vision. A short Director's Voice clip was shown, hinting at a grittier, more personal story.
Returning talent behind the scenes
Alongside Sztybor, the sequel will also include lead character designer Kanno Ichigo (Promare) and screenwriter Masahiko Otsuka (Gurren Lagann). The team teased bold designs and intense fight scenes, promising fans a story that will stand apart from Season 1 while keeping the same spirit.
Cyberpunk Edgerunners 2 Netflix release date and teaser footage
While no release date was confirmed, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 is now in production and will stream exclusively on Netflix. A new logo and poster were revealed during the panel, and select attendees were invited to a closed-door screening of teaser footage at the Peacock Theater.

Don't Come Home: Thai horror series turns haunted house into an emotional nightmare
Thai dramas have been progressively establishing their imprint on the world entertainment scene, particularly in the midst of the current K-drama tsunami. In the horror category, one spine-chilling series is gaining traction for all the right reasons. Don't Come Home, a Thai horror miniseries that combines supernatural suspense with intensely emotional family drama, provides a unique and unsettling take on the classic haunted home story. Spanning six hauntingly atmospheric episodes, the series on Netflix pulls viewers into a world where guilt, trauma, and buried secrets are just as frightening as the ghosts that haunt the night. Directed by Anuwat Prathumthong and starring Ploy Sornarin and Thitiwat Ritprasert, Don't Come Home avoids cheap thrills and instead delivers a lingering, psychological horror that stays with you. Plot: A desperate escape to a dangerous sanctuary The plot revolves around Varee (Sornarin), a mother attempting to escape her horrific past with her little daughter Min. They want a new beginning and flee to a secluded ancestral estate in a peaceful rural village. However, the serenity they seek is swiftly lost as what appears to be a peaceful retreat soon exposes itself to be anything from safe. As the mother and daughter settle in, weird events begin to unfold. The mansion groans with hidden secrets: phantom noises echo at night, strange sights appear during the day, and an invisible presence stalks every hallway. Varee, initially in denial, gradually finds a horrific past that links the mansion to unspeakable acts long forgotten. Don't Come Home: Different than others What distinguishes this series is its emotional depth. It's more than just a ghost story; it's an investigation of family tragedy, generational shame, and how unsaid pain may persist over time. Varee's passionate commitment to her kid serves as both a source of strength and a vulnerability when the line between past and present blurs. The series progresses from a basic haunted home story to a deep psychological thriller, thanks to expertly written tension and dramatic character development. Don't Come Home prompts viewers to consider the aftermath of trauma and the true cost of keeping secrets.

Gautam Gambhir's " Ab To Retire Ho Gaya" Comment On Rohit Sharma On Kapil Sharma Show Is Viral
The Indian dressing room is without Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli these days. Both greats have retired from Tests and T20Is, and ODI is the only format where they are playing. The side that is playing in England currently is pretty young with KL Rahul being the senior-most member. Amid the India vs England Test series, a video clip from a Netflix broadcast of a 'Kapil Sharma Show' episode involving Rishabh Pant, Yuzvendra Chahal and Gautam Gambhir is going viral. "In most families there is a jethani who's calling the shots. Who is such a player? Someone who orders everyone, even if they're just taking advantage of their seniority," Kapil Sharma can be seen asking the cricketers. "Rohit bhai is like that," Rishabh Pant said. "Maine kaha, Rohit ka naam lele, abb toh retire ho gaya (Take Rohit's name, he's retired now)," Gambhir said with a smile on his face. Look how happily this guy is saying "ab toh retire hogya" , and you want me to believe he isn't behind it — Dev 🇮🇳 (@time__square) July 5, 2025 Ahead of the second Test against England in Edgbaston, India captain Shubman Gill and head coach Gautam Gambhir brought back an old tradition that was missing during the team's tour of Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Sources informed NDTV that captain Shubman Gill hosted a team dinner with the entire squad on Sunday, ahead of the second Test against England. The intent behind the activity was to strengthen team bonding, considering the number of newcomers the team has. The decision comes as a welcome move, as no such activity was held in Australia under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. As India lost the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, the lack of 'team spirit' in the group was categorically called out, with head coach Gambhir reportedly not being happy seeing the team being divided into different groups. With Gill as the new coach, Gambhir seems to have ensured that the trend breaks and an old custom returns.
