Love Island USA's Bryan Responds to Rumors He Cheated on Amaya

Cosmopolitan23-07-2025
Amaya Espinal and Bryan Arenales may have left reality TV, but drama wasn't far behind. Just a week after winning Love Island USA season 7, Bryan responded to rumors that he cheated on Amaya, setting the record straight on their relationship status.
After a whirlwind romance earned them the title of America's Favorite Couple, Amaya and Bryan ended the season in an exclusive relationship—something he confirmed in a recent interview with Us Weekly. '[Amaya and I] are exclusive and taking steps to [be boyfriend and girlfriend],' he said. 'We care deeply about each other and we don't want to rush things.'
He added that they were looking forward to figuring out their relationship away from the cameras: 'We're letting things happen naturally instead of doing stuff for the public eye, and we're gonna continue doing that.'
Unfortunately for Bryan, just because you want your relationship to be private doesn't mean it will be. On Tuesday, fans were caught off guard when a TikToker alleged in a since-deleted video that she had seen Bryan getting cozy with another woman.
The TikToker claimed that she had met Bryan and a few other Islanders at a Los Angeles club. She said that she and her friends ended up going back to the Airbnb where the cast was staying, and that she saw Bryan go to a private room with another woman. All while Amaya supposedly slept in the same Airbnb.
Bryan didn't directly address the allegations, but on Tuesday night, he shared a TikTok seemingly responding to rumors that he and Amaya were over. 'When everyone thinks you're over meanwhile this is us,' he wrote, tagging Amaya. In the video you can see Amaya jump into Bryan's arms with a big smile on her face. They certainly don't look broken up to me!
Granted, this TikTok isn't exactly a denial of the cheating allegations, but it does seem to rule out any speculation that the winning couple is no longer together or on bad terms. Hopefully we'll get a clearer picture at the Love Island season 7 reunion. In the meantime, as a citizen of Amaya Papaya Nation, I'll just be sitting here, hoping that Bryan is treating her like the People's Princess that she is.

When is the 'Love Island USA' Season 7 reunion? Date, hosts, where to watch

The drama from the "Love Island USA" Season 7 cast didn't stop when the islanders walked out of the villa. Fans have been keeping up with their favorite contestants through post-show interviews, social media posts, and strategic brand deals. While some have been more active online, others have stayed under the radar. However, similar to Season 6, the cast members will be able to appear on our television screens and share their experience, address conflicts, and lay rumors to rest at their reunion, slated to air in late August. Here's what we know about the upcoming reunion. When is the 'Love Island USA' Season 7 reunion? The "Love Island USA" Season 7 reunion is scheduled for Aug. 25 at 9 p.m. ET on Peacock. It will be spearheaded by official host Ariana Madix, who will be joined by longtime television host Andy Cohen. The two will ask the contestants everything fans want to know. "I have great love for Olandria and Amaya Papaya. I think Nic seems really sweet. I think there are a lot of questions for Ace. I think a lot to talk about with her," Cohen told Vulture at a recent awards event. "I'm so grateful that Ariana is allowing me to co-host this," he continued. More 'Love Island USA' drama "Love Island USA" Season 6 and "Love Island: Beyond the Villa" star JaNa Craig made headlines this week after breaking up with fellow islander Kenny Rodriguez. The timeline became flooded with speculation about their split. Craig informed fans that she had seen "all the breakup theories and none have matched up to how terrible, disgusting, and disappointing it truly is" in a July 28 Instagram story. Rodriguez later replied via a social media post saying: "I'll always be grateful for the time we shared and the memories we created. I release this chapter with no ill will, only a hope that JaNa's path forward brings her nothing but happiness." Later, other popular members from Season 6 came to her defense and unfollowed Rodriguez on Instagram. They accused him of being racist and chasing clout. TikTok's new singing contest is ‘American Idol' for the viral generation

If you've ever fancied yourself on American Idol, you can now audition for the newest singing competition—without ever leaving home. In partnership with iHeartRadio, TikTok announced its ' Next Up: Live Music ' singing competition this week, with auditions taking place entirely within the app. Aspiring stars can submit auditions now through Aug. 11 by uploading an original song with the hashtag #nextuplivemusic —which already has over 1,000 posts at the time of writing. The top 50 creators will advance to the Semi-Finals, where they'll perform via livestream. Scores will be determined by likes, views, comments, and shares, as well as feedback from a panel of judges. 'Fans can follow rising artists in real time, engage directly with their performances, and help shape their path to the spotlight,' the press release explains. The final 12 performers will then take the stage live at the iHeartRadio Theater in Burbank, California, on Sept. 28. The competition is open to anyone in the U.S. over 18, but there are several requirements entrants must meet. Hopefuls must have at least 50,000 TikTok followers with real engagement (i.e. not bot activity). They must own the rights to at least one original song and cannot be signed to a major record label. For those who meet the criteria and feel ready to take a shot, TikTok adds, 'this isn't just a contest, it's a launchpad.' The platform has already helped launch the careers of numerous artists, including Olivia Rodrigo and Pink Pantheress. 'TikTok has long been a launchpad for musical talent, helping undiscovered artists break through and reach global audiences,' TikTok executive Shen Gao said in the press release. 'Next Up: LIVE Music is building on that legacy by turning discovery into a shared, real-time experience.'
