Restaurant review: Portrush has become the Nantucket of NI – and the food at this new hotel is as dreamy as the location

Joris Minne heads along the Causeway coast to the new Dunluce Lodge.
Two of the world's most expensive bits of coastline are thousands of miles apart but share a common theme. Understatement. The two locations share a space at the opposite end of a spectrum where the other end is Dubai. We are talking about Nantucket, the island off Cape Cod made famous by Herman Melville and his Moby Dick and more to the point, Nicole Kidman and her central appearance in The Perfect Couple. In this series, Nantucket is portrayed as a super wealthy enclave where everybody has an innate sense of impeccable taste and style. The clapboard houses are in perfectly blended Farrow & Ball type colour schemes, the interiors are chic-rustique and the views to the beaches and sea beyond interrupted only by lush green lawns, marine pines, picket fences and salty boardwalks.
About 3,5000 miles back east on the Normandy coast is the equally well appointed super posh Deauville. Known since the 1800s as an upscale holiday destination with its elegant casino, golf courses, horse races and the American Film Festival, this town can match Nantucket on the style, elegance and good taste readings no bother.

Your Next Must-Watch? The Reviews Of Untamed Are In

When a woman fatally falls from El Capitan, special agent Kyle Turner (Eric Bana) has suspicions that it wasn't an accident – and the truth may be hidden deep within Yosemite National Park. This is the story behind Untamed , the new American drama murder mystery on Netflix. The six-part drama landed on the streaming platform on 17 July and promises to add some toe curling tension to your summer. But is it worth watching? The reviews are in... For fans of The Perfect Couple or a good murder mystery novel, Untamed may be the ideal show to sink your teeth into this summer, but what do the critics say? Rebecca Nicholson at The Guardian awarded the series three stars. 'It's not the smartest, but the mountains are lovely,' she wrote, adding that Untamed 'makes a fairytale of both detective work and the great outdoors'. Meanwhile Variety 's Aramide Tinbubu had more generous things to say about the show. 'Deeply layered and gripping, Untamed is a brilliant detective tale anchored by some of our worst human impulses,' she writes. 'It is a story of pain, shame and the hope of redemption, even when there appears to be no way out. A series about justice, control and who gets to be remembered, it's also a reminder that in the end, our true nature will always be revealed.' The Hollywood Reporter critic Daniel Fienberg calls the show 'intriguing but rushed'. As he puts it, '[ Untamed ] the sort of tightly – often too tightly – constructed six-episode potboiler with epic frontier undertones that should find a receptive audience among fans of mysteries like Slow Horses, Reacher and Dept Q (as well as viewers who like the general structure of True Detective, but would prefer a little less philosophical noodling). 'Rarely have the parks – their vastness, their complexity, the official and unofficial denizens who live and work within them – been as central to a story as Yosemite is to Untamed, ' notes Time TV critic, Judy Berman. For her, the scenery is the star of the show. 'Forget Turner, Vazquez, Jill, Paul—all egregiously underwritten. Untamed has a far more fascinating and multifaceted lead in Yosemite.' A disappointing two stars are given from Dan Einav at the Financial Times. 'Little of what we see during out visit to Yosemite is inspiring or natural – from the contrived writing to the signature Netflix aesthetic that makes everything look more overproduced than untamed.' However, it's a strong four stars from Carol Midgley at The Times. 'Having watched all six episodes, I would never have guessed the outcome or the guilty party. Ultimately, it is a series which transcends, with ease, its central cliché.' Nikki Peach is a writer at Grazia UK, working across entertainment, TV and news. Where In The World Does Lena Dunham Live?

If you've found yourself binging Lena Dunham's Too Much on Netflix, you're certainly not alone. The show - a heartbreakingly hilarious recounting of an emotionally-scorched American woman rebuilding her life in London - has left fans asking one big question: Where exactly is Lena Dunham calling home these days? Well, the answer isn't simple. Life certainly imitates art - and just like her characters, Lena's hard to pin down. The star lives across continents, in a haven of leafy houseplants, an enviable number of cats, and vintage finds that most of us only dream of thrifting. So, where exactly does Lena Dunham live (and is it painted entirely in Farrow & Ball?) The star divides her time between London and Connecticut, using the British capital city as her home base. Lena shared, 'When people ask me where I live now, I say, "Between London and Connecticut, 10 feet behind my parents." Yes, literally. Just as I always wanted.' Before moving to London in 2021, Lena was lucky enough to call several places home - shuffling around LA and West Hollywood, as well as moving frequently between Brooklyn and Manhatten during her six-year romance with musician Jack Antonoff. Gone are the Brooklyn brownstones and LA smoothie shops, with the star now living in a four-story North London townhouse with her British-Peruvian rockstar husband, Luis Felber, and their five cats and two dogs. Having lived there since Spring 2021, the couple have fondly referred to their townhouse as being a 'home base' and 'creative escape.' Giving fans glimpses into her stunning home, it's clear to see maximalism is key to Lena's style. Her home is filled with 'nine shades of green,' an entirely pink living room, and more hand-sewn textiles than a Wes Anderson film. Yes, the paint shades are reportedly Farrow & Ball. There's no shock there. The kitchen area is open plan - featuring Farrow & Ball Cooking Apple Green cabinets. A lover of thrifting, there's plenty of vintage goodies and unique finds to be found in Lena's home. Although work certainly brought her across the Atlantic on several occasions, it was her relationship with London-based Luis that cemented Lena's decision to call England home. Lena with her husband, Luis. ©Getty In many ways, Too Much is Lena's unashamed love letter to London - somewhat inspired by her own life. Using it as the backdrop for her ode to transatlantic heartbreak and chaotic self-discovery, she explained, 'I love everything about London. I find all of London glamorous, and I wanted to be able to show a diverse array of locations.' Opening up about life as a London 'It-girl,' Lena once revealed how the city's privacy and creative freedom was a refreshing change to the chaos of New York. She shared, 'London shocked me with it's reassuring differences - streets so wide that the buildings seemed to be stepping aside for me to pass, the blank slate of it all.' Describing the move as being a 'system upgrade,' Lena later added, 'You don't feel that you are being in any way hemmed in by other people's perceptions.' Referring to her London townhouse as an 'English fantasy', Lena also previously shared how her perfect morning involves feeding her small petting zoo of animals, followed by a blueberry matcha in bed and a reflection on the day ahead. (Photo by) ©Getty Before her move to London, Lena spent many years living in LA and New York - selling her Los Angeles bungalow in 2021. Now, she favours a more laidback life. When she's not in England, she's at her 'forever' home in Connecticut - a purpose-built cottage located just 10 feet behind her parents home. Built during the pandemic, Lena's dad was said to have described the Girls star's dream home as looking 'like a kindergartener drew a house.' Given Lena was locked down halfway across the globe, her parents took the lead on much of the project. In fact, it was Lena's mum who lovingly unpacked the 112 boxes of belongings that the star had shipped from London. Opening up about arriving to the house for the first time, Lena emotionally recalled, '[It was] showing me just how well [mum] knew me. I felt a shocking amount of gratitude to have these parents and this home.' Filled with colour, cosiness, and whimsy, Lena also carefully curated the space to make it work for her - including her chronic illness. Lena suffers with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a rare condition that can cause chronic joint paint. Given her diagnosis, it was a priority to make sure her home was comfortable at any given stage. 'The low staircase is perfect for the days my arthritic hips give me trouble [and] the bathtub has a pull-up bar in case I get dizzy,' she previously said. Reese Witherspoon's nickname for her financier boyfriend is so Reese Witherspoon

Even when Reese Witherspoon isn't literally on a yacht, she is metaphorically in the presence of an implied yacht at all times. Whether it's her signature old-money-blonde hair or her tendency to play compelling characters who say cutting things while holding a Birkin bag, Reese seems most at home in the polished world of the mega-rich. As a result, when she is literally on a multi-million pound luxury boat – smooching a private equity titan, no less – it just looks so, so right. The Big Little Lies actress and her boyfriend, German financier Oliver Haarmann (net-worth estimated at around half a billion dollars), looked like cast members of one of Netflix's many summer series about the ultra-wealthy (Sirens, The Perfect Couple, or We Were Liars, just to name a few) during their getaway to Saint-Tropez on Saturday. The actress definitely seems like the type to hand out slightly cringey pet names to her loved ones while sipping an overpriced cosmo – a suspicion confirmed by a source who revealed she affectionately calls Haarmann 'her little genius.' The couple, who went public with their romance a year ago, were seen sharing a steamy kiss before frolicking in the waves with the carefree energy of people who haven't glanced at a supermarket price tag in decades – assuming, of course, they even remember what the inside of a supermarket looks like. The 49-year-old Oscar winner and her 57-year-old beau packed on the PDA, embracing throughout the day. At one point, Haarmann affectionately wrapped his arms around Witherspoon and kissed her on her little blonde head. Witherspoon stunned in a simple white swimsuit as Haarmann put the fox in silver fox in a pair of colourful swim shorts. An insider told DailyMail, 'Reese has a close bond with Oliver because this is the first man she has been with who actually guides her, teaches her, mentors her.' 'He is a very accomplished private equity financier and has given her solid financial advice over her brands like Draper James and Hello Sunshine. She calls him her 'little genius' and loves that he has an MBA from Harvard,' the insider continued. 'It's also nice that he already has kids with his ex, so there is no pressure with shared kids. All they do is have fun when they are not working and that is refreshing to her. 'In her last two marriages she was always the leader, now Oliver is the leader. He pushes her to be more, and she loves that he makes plans for them, even small things like where they go to dinner. 'She has already introduced Oliver to most of her friends and he has definitely been welcomed into her world. Everyone thinks she is madly in love.' Oddly condescending commentary aside, it's undeniable that Reese appears smitten, and there's something very Reese about her nickname for her big business man lover. And if she's into her man making their dinner reservations and reviewing her investment portfolio? Fine, who can blame her? Haarmann has two sons from his marriage to businesswoman Mala Gaonkar, 55, who is now in a relationship with The Talking Heads musician David Byrne, 73. Ah, to be the kind of rich where you can once again begin dating actors and musicians – good for Mala and Oliver. Haarmann first made his name in the world of investing as a founding partner of Searchlight Capital Partners, a private equity investment firm. He then went on to become a senior partner of the global investment firm KKR & Co. More Trending Reese and her ex-husband Jim Toth, 54, announced their separation in 2023 after nearly 12 years of marriage. Just a week later, the actress officially filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences in court documents. Reese and Jim later reached a divorce settlement and agreed to co-parent their 12-year-old son, Tennessee. Reese also shares two children – Deacon, 21, and Ava, 25 – with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe, 50. Tax the rich and get the tech billionaires out of government positions, certainly, but the full spectrum of political views must make space for Reece Witherspoon's god-given right to lounge on a yacht.
