Newest Feadship Superyacht Unveiled
With new superyachts of staggering sizes emerging from shipyards all over the world this spring, you might think it would be easy to say 'Ho hum, just another superyacht launch.' Well, as one of the lucky few who's been able to visit many of the most respected superyacht shipyards in the world (who's also been granted a glimpse of just how many gifted artists, craftsman, designers, naval architects, welders, electronics and computer experts, furniture makers, carpenters, propulsion and propeller experts, sound and light engineers, and a myriad of other highly talented people working together like a 3-dimensional symphony of shipbuilding for up to four years it takes to build a superyacht like the one that just emerged from a Feadship build shed in Holland), I'm here to say… 'No superyacht launch is ever 'just another superyacht launch!''
The new Feadship Project 827 just before she emerges from her build shed.
In my opinion, every new superyacht launched not only occupies the absolute pinnacle of luxury. In many cases, they're also the largest, custom-built, one-of-a-kind, and yes…most expensive products (that entire villages of highly skilled craftspeople build by hand) humans can buy. They're mobile private islands of awesome. They're the ultimate flex. And they are ultimate family escape craft too. So, without further ado, may I introduce you to the newest 235-foot-long Feadship superyacht that's simply called Project 827?
According to the specs, the exterior design and styling featuring clean lines and perfect proportions by is Studio De Voogt. It has five decks of living space and generous interior spaces that feature gobs of floor-to-ceiling glass, angelic natural light, and community spaces that are conducive to chilling.
A dedicated owner's deck offers a panoramic and secluded master stateroom with wrap-around glass, direct access to a private breakfast area, and my personal favorite—a hot tub. This secluded level is made possible by the raised pilothouse.
TaDa! The new Feadship Project 827 sees the sun for the first time.
On the main deck aft, the saloon is wraped in floor-to-celling glass, and opens onto an large aft deck area with a 23-foot-long pool and lots of comfortable places to lounge in the sun. The guest accommodation areas are located on the main deck too. Four staterooms and two VIP suites offer flexible comfort, with the VIPs able to combine into a full-beam suite. Beneath the aft deck, a wellness space sits just steps from the swim platform and is easily accessible to everyone on board.
Richard Lambert, Senior Partner at Burgess says, 'It has been a pleasure to have worked hand in hand with the owner and Feadship for Project 827; our close collaboration has resulted in a contemporary, elegant design with an impressive volume.'
Meanwhile, Project 827's propulsion is driven by a next-generation diesel-electric system that shows Feadship continues to innovate hybrid propulsion systems that combine IMO Tier III-compliant generators with electric thrusters to create cruising experience that's quieter, cleaner, and engineered to support future sustainable energy solutions.
All I have to say is…congratulations to everyone involved! And I can't wait to see Project 827 in the wild (with a new name of course) when the lucky new owner takes delivery.

Breakthrough will be one of the largest, if not the largest, yacht at the 2025 Monaco Yacht Show. Each September, the Monaco Yacht Show draws the world's most dazzling superyachts to Port Hercules. While the 2025 edition (held between 24 - 27 September 2025) is still shaping up, a few standout vessels have already been confirmed by the organizers. This shortlist is full of brand-new 2025-delivered superyachts, so this is the ultimate must-see selection if you're thinking about attending the the boat show in Monte Carlo this year… 389-Feet Breakthrough Breakthrough is one of the most innovative yachts ever built, allegedly commissioned for Bill Gates. Feadship's largest new delivery of the year, Breakthrough is exactly what her name promises. This 389-foot marvel pushes boundaries in both scale and sustainability, with a hydrogen-powered fuel-cell system which is the first of its kind in the world. When engaged, the fuel cell system will use no combustion whatsoever and will produce nothing but water as a byproduct. Rumor has it she features a two-deck glass atrium and a fully-fledgd private owner's apartment that's nestled inside the yacht. The yacht is listed for sale with Edmiston and will be attracting plenty of attention on the docks of Monaco. 263-Feet Al Reem Bilgin's third unit of its 263 series has some unique touches. Turkish yacht builder Bilgin is bringing the third unit in its series to the Monaco Boat Show, but Al Reem is significantly different to her sisters. The yacht, which has a name meaning gazelle in Arabic, boasts around 20 per cent more interior volume than her predecessors, meaning boat show attendees will get to see a fresh take on an existing series. Inside, expect Art Deco-inspired touches, a cinema room, and a wellness area that rivals a five-star spa. 260-Feet Valor Valor features a two metre ice belt for high-latitude exploration. Fellow Feadship build Valor will be easily recognizable on the docks of Port Hercules thanks to her exterior lines. "The owner had three directives," explais de Voogt designer Chris Bottom. "First, he requested something that 'would be recognizable from outer space' as a unique design and eschewed both the wedding cake and common curvaceous designs found on so many common yachts." Other cool features include cherry-picked Italian stone on the interior and a high-grade record player and selection of vinyl records. No doubt she'll be a popular addition to the 2025 Monaco Yacht Show lineup. 202-Feet Simena The yacht has "military grade build quality". A bold addition from Turkish yard Ares, Simena is a steel-hulled Turkish-built ketch named after an ancient city in Turkey's Antalya province. The yacht was 'designed for a true connoisseur', according to Piraye Sahinkaya Orhun, Yachts Projects Director at Ares Yachts. He points out: 'With a cruising speed of 11 knots and a top speed of 14.5, she offers transatlantic range even without sails. She's perfect for any voyage in luxury and comfort.' Mahogany, teak, leather and Calacatta Oro marble feature across Simena's Design Unlimited-interiors, and she has an impressive 12-guest layout. Northrop and Johnson have the boat listed for sale, and Ares Shipyard is one of the exciting new superyacht brands to have on your radar in 2025. 196-Feet O'Madeleine The yacht is available for rent from €390,000 per week. Cool new O'Madeleine is the latest vessel to launch from Greece's Golden Yachts. Her Studio Vafiadis exteriors hide a Nordic-meets-Mediterranean interior style from the drawing boards of Italian studio Massari. 'From the finely grained wood panelling that lines the walls to the textured stingray leather, handwoven rugs, straw panels and hand-carved marble, there is a palpable sense of authenticity and craftsmanship' said a representative from Massari. Golden Yachts is no stranger to making a splash in Monaco, and this latest launch is sure to be another must-see. 180-Feet Rose The yacht has an innovative Nemo lounge that lets guests look out below the surface of the sea. Tankoa's Rose was commissioned for a young entrepreneur with a lifelong passion for yachting. The owner was closely involved throughout the project, helping to modify the layout and introduce the concept of two Jacuzzis and the new Piero Lissoni interiors. Rose also has one of the most exciting features currently on the market in the superyacht world – a semi-submerged Nemo Lounge that sits just below the waterline to offer views underneath the surface of the sea. 177-Feet Riva 54 Metri Iconic yachtbuilder Riva has expanded its fleet with its new model. Riva's highly-anticipated flagship makes her Monaco debut this year. At 177 feet, the Riva 54 Metri is a sleek, silver-hulled stunner that fuses old-school glamour with modern design. Expect polished mahogany, stainless steel detailing, and enough James Bond energy to turn heads in Port Hercules. 163-Feet Bel1 The yacht was designed by Fulvio de Simoni with an interior by Enrico Gobbi. With a design inspired by supercars, Bel1 is a next-gen superyacht with a sharp, futuristic silhouette that's sure to catch attention at Monte Carlo's boat show. Her builder Rossinavi has given her an expansive 145 square metre sundeck with mini pool and opening balconies attached to the lounge. Inside, expect bold interiors by an A-list design team and clever spatial planning that makes her feel far larger than her footprint. 193-Feet Maximus Wellness facilities include a gym room that converts into a massage suite. Known as a 'wolf in sheep's clothing', the Germán Frers-designed ketch boasts twin cockpits and ample on-deck lounging areas. Inside, the Vitters build offers a full‑beam owner's cabin with direct deck access, his‑and‑hers bathrooms and a steam shower, plus a baby Steinway piano. For uncompromising views, Maximus has a crow's nest atop the main mast that'll offer incredible vistas over the Monaco Yacht Show. Whether you're attending the show in person or following the action from afar, these yachts are the ones to watch. Expect even more jaw-dropping reveals in the weeks leading up to the show, but for now, this fleet is setting a high bar.

Building A Business Is Like Building A House: You Need A Foundation
Tom Burgess, President, Snipp. Starting a business is like building a house. The first step is to build the foundation—do that wrong and the roof won't fit. Many entrepreneurs jump headfirst into launching a new venture with little consideration for the foundational structure, and failure to execute simple pre-planning and preparation can cost them and their shareholders millions of dollars down the road. I've started four companies over the past 30 years, and I've learned the hard way that if the foundation is not based on the end goal, failure, at some level, is inevitable. A Concrete Base The corporate structure of your business is the concrete base of your house. If the blocks are not laid straight, the walls will be crooked—and it only gets worse as you build. The way in which you set up the corporate layer of your business will differ depending on your reason for starting your company. Maybe it's to support your lifestyle, or go public or even sell to a larger company. No matter the reason or end goal, it is essential for founders to consider how this initial layer will impact the company when you reach that point. First, you must consider your entity type. If the end goal is to raise capital and eventually sell the business or go public, forming a C corporation is the smartest move, as it offers the best tax advantages for founders and early investors. A C-Corp is the only structure to benefit from the qualified small business stock (QSBS). On the other hand, an LLC, or limited liability company, may be the right move if you are starting a lifestyle business that you intend to run as a closely-held cash flow machine. LLCs offer less corporate overhead, lowering your business expenses while retaining a high level of personal liability protection. Each entity type has its own long-term benefits, but the planning must be done early or the benefits will be lost. Another key consideration is structuring and monetizing your equity. Cash flow is king, and equity is the holy grail at the end of your quest. The capitalization structure maps out who owns equity in your company and what terms are defined for each class of stock ownership. Once again, this planning needs to be done at the foundation level. It is nearly impossible to correct ownership structure in arrears. Voting rights, stock restrictions, vesting schedules, preferred terms and more must be carefully considered before they are issued. Similar to corporate structure, a bad equity structure can cost founders and shareholders millions in lost profit. Framing A Distinct Culture Culture is an essential part of your company, acting as the framing holding your business together. Built with poor materials, no amount of patchwork will fix it. A company with the best product on the market can be destroyed by a bad culture. The perfect culture varies for different companies, but I have found that one prioritizing communication works best. Although disappointing news or significant changes can be challenging to manage when companies are in their early stage of growth, you can never go wrong with honesty and transparency. However, company culture can't be forced. It is a derivative of great leadership. Sometimes culture is driven by a founder, and other times it is driven by natural team leaders. If that natural leader emerges, you should tap into their ability to be the voice of their colleagues and empower them to set the cultural tone. Leveraging Customer Feedback At this point, you have built enough to hold up your house, but nobody will want to live there if the heat or plumbing does not work. This is the customer feedback layer. A strong foundation is only valuable if it supports a product or service that meets customer needs. If your customers are not satisfied, even the best internal operations can't ensure success. In fact, companies that put customers' needs first "reported 41% faster revenue growth, 49% faster profit growth, and 51% better customer retention," according to Forrester. It is necessary for key performance indicators, or KPIs, to be decided upon at the beginning of your entrepreneurial journey and tracked throughout. Each company will have its own unique performance indicators. Marketing conversion rates, client service backlogs and product development cycles are a few common KPIs that can be tracked and shared within the company to help inform progress, adjust in a timely manner and celebrate successes. Critical analysis of these KPIs will allow you to keep up with market demands and continuously improve your business. Building With Intention As an aspiring entrepreneur and business leader, the best way to start your journey is by being intentional with your choices, carefully considering how every decision made will impact your end goal. Not all houses are built the same—but when built with intention, you can ensure you have a foundation that can support it. Many car showrooms still male-dominated, say dealers: Startline
Four in ten car dealers (40%) believe that car showrooms continue to be male-dominated environments, according to the latest Startline Used Car Tracker for July. The report reveals growing concern in the motor retail sector about how well it serves female customers. More than a third (35%) of dealers think some women are choosing to shop online to avoid visiting showrooms, while 33% say the industry needs to focus on recruiting and empowering more female staff. 'Some have recognised this problem and taken welcome actions,' said Paul Burgess, CEO at Startline Motor Finance, referring to efforts such as hiring more women. The research shows 42% of dealers now employ women in their sales teams, though just 22% say they employ as many women as men. Almost half of dealers (48%) say they have tried to make their showrooms more female-friendly. However, 12% admit they are unsure how to improve the environment, and a third believe more feedback from women customers is needed. 'These responses underline the problems some parts of the industry face,' Burgess said. 'Perhaps more research by dealers is needed to fully understand this issue.' The questions were prompted by earlier research from Citroën UK showing that nearly half (48%) of women feel the car retail experience is biased toward men, and only 25% feel comfortable asking for help in a showroom. The Startline Used Car Tracker is produced monthly for Startline Motor Finance by APD Global Research, which surveyed 300 consumers and 60 dealers for this edition. "Many car showrooms still male-dominated, say dealers: Startline" was originally created and published by Motor Finance Online, a GlobalData owned brand.
