Serie A: Watch chaotic ending to Lazio-Fiorentina
Goals from Yacine Adli and Lucas Beltran put La Viola 2-0 up after 17 minutes before the former was sent off just after the hour mark, which made for an incredible ending.
With six minutes of added time, Adam Marušić headed Lazio to within one in the second minute of stoppage time after David de Gea, despite his best efforts, couldn't prevent the ball from crossing the line. The Montenegrin then forced De Gea into an incredible save in the fifth minute of added time.
The ball would then bounce to Pedro, just outside the penalty area, who smashed the ball through a crowded penalty area before the ball cannoned back off the post and rolled across the line to the dismay of Lazio fans that stayed.

I had already mentioned him for a possible player-plus-cash swap deal with Parma for Giovanni Leoni, but Inter's current priority is the signing of Ademola Lookman from Atalanta. Cagliari are eager to reach an agreement with Inter as talks will resume in the following days. Esposito played for Inter in the Club World Cup earlier this summer after spending the 2024-25 season on loan at Empoli.

Albania Star To Leave Inter Milan This Summer – Not Standing In The Way Of Transfer Despite Reports
Albania Star To Leave Inter Milan This Summer – Not Standing In The Way Of Transfer Despite Reports Midfielder Kristjan Asllani is set to leave Inter Milan this summer, and isn't standing in the way of a transfer despite rumours. This according to Italian outlet FCInterNews. They report that the reason the Albanian has yet to leave is related to the price tag of a move rather than the player refusing offers. Advertisement Inter midfielder Kristjan Asllani has been strongly linked with an exit this summer transfer window. However, things have yet to really get moving as far as a potential transfer for the 23-year-old. Asllani has been the subject of the interest of a few clubs. Fiorentina and Bologna have emerged as potential suitors within Serie A. And La Liga side Real Betis are also keen. Kristjan Asllani Hasn't Rejected Inter Milan Departure VENICE, ITALY – JANUARY 12: Kristjan Asllani of FC Internazionale controls the ball during the Serie A match between Venezia and FC Internazionale at Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo on January 12, 2025 in Venice, Italy. (Photo by) Advertisement There have been persistent rumours that Asllani has been digging in his heels and rejecting a move away from Inter. The Gazzetta dello Sport reported as much earlier today. Specifically, Asllani has reportedly been less than enthusiastic on a move away from Serie A. Therefore, the Albanian international has been reported to have turned down a move to Betis. According to FCInterNews, however, Betis haven't come close to meeting Inter's asking price for Asllani. The Andalusian are hoping to sign Asllani for a fee of around €10 million. Meanwhile, Inter want €18-20 million, or €15-16 million plus a sell-on fee. Advertisement Therefore, FCIN report, that is the real reason why Asllani hasn't left Inter. Meanwhile, other interested clubs like Fiorentina and Bologna have not made a sufficient offer for Asllani. Therefore, FCIN report, Inter will wait patiently for offers for Asllani. But they are not going to force the former Empoli midfielder out the door for a cut price fee, the outlet anticipate.

Mussolini's great-grandson says ‘my name has never caused me problems' after Serie A transfer
Romano Floriani Mussolini, the great-grandson of fascist dictator Benito Mussolini, said he wants to focus on football and not his family name after joining Serie A side Cremonese on loan. The versatile 22-year-old, who primarily plays at right-back but also on the right-side of midfield, has joined the newly-promoted club on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy from his parent club Lazio. Advertisement The footballer, who is also the son of Italian politician Alessandra Mussolini, said at his introductory press conference on Wednesday that he is 'here to play football' and reiterated that his surname 'bothers other people more than me.' 'My surname has never caused me any problems and, from my point of view, the less said about it, the better,' Mussolini said, in quotes carried by Italian press agency Ansa. 'I'm here to express myself on the pitch, nothing else'. Mussolini spent last season on loan at Juve Stabia in Serie B, the second division of Italian football, and scored his first goal in December. During the goal celebration, the stadium announcer called out his first name, 'Romano', seven times, with dozens of fans responding by chanting 'Mussolini' and appearing to give fascist salutes. After that incident, Juve Stabia denied those were the gestures in a statement: 'When the name of the scoring player is announced, we raise our arms to the sky as a sign of the team that is in our heart and which represents the city. This was once again the case with this (Mussolini's) goal.' Mussolini said that controversy was 'pointless' and said that he mainly talks about football, not politics, with his family. 'But I'd like people to talk about me only for how I play,' Mussolini added. 'I want to show what I can do and prove my value.' Mussolini's father was Mario Floriani, a police officer, who alongside his mother agreed that their son would have two surnames — Floriani and Mussolini — of which he could choose which to use first when he became an adult. Mussolini's mother said the Italian civil and church authorities had both agreed to this as an exception, as it was not until 2022 that Italy's top court ruled that children will be given their mother's and father's surnames at birth, with the previous practice of only giving children their father's surname 'constitutionally illegitimate'. During his time at Juve Stabia, Mussolini opted to use 'F. Mussolini' as the name on the back of his shirt. Mussolini previously played in the youth system at Roma before joining city rivals Lazio, while he also spent 2023-24 on loan at Pescara in Serie C. ()
