Italian-Irish comedian Vittorio Angelone coming to Glasgow
The 24-date tour follows his sold-out 2023 and 2024 tours, which saw the comedian play more than 100 packed-out shows across the country.

His 2023 show, Who Do You Think You Are? I Am! sold out before the Edinburgh Fringe even began and went on to become a 138-date international tour, selling 30,000 tickets across the UK, Ireland, Europe, the Middle East, Australia, and Canada.
During that tour, one of his shows was cancelled after counter-terrorism police were contacted about one of his Instagram posts, an event the comedian is set to explore in his new Edinburgh Fringe show this year.
Angelone also recently filmed his second stand-up special at Glasgow's Oran Mor, which is set for release soon.
He has previously supported comedians such as Russell Howard, Michael Che, Ivo Graham, and Adam Rowe, and co-hosts the podcast Mike & Vittorio's Guide to Parenting with fellow comedian Mike Rice.
He is also the co-creator of the YouTube series Fin vs The Internet, featuring guests like Jamie Laing and JaackMaate.

During his new tour, Angelone will explore his Northern Irish upbringing, the legacy of The Troubles, and the pressures facing comedians in an era of intense debate about offence and activism in comedy.
Angelone's next run at the Edinburgh Fringe is already sold out, with additional late-night shows added at Underbelly's McEwan Hall on August 8 and 22, 2025, due to high demand.

And the South Tyrol-born star even joked that seeing a champagne cork land by his feet is only something that would happen at Wimbledon. Asked in his post-match interview by BBC Sport if he had ever experienced anything similar during a game, he replied: "No, only here at Wimbledon! "But that's exactly why we love playing here. It's a very expensive tournament also!" Sinnker also admits the victory was extra sweet having lost out to good pal Alcaraz in that epic Paris showdown last month. "I would say mostly emotionally because I had a very tough loss in Paris", he added. "But at the end of the day it doesn't matter how you win or you lose, at important tournaments you just have to understand what you did wrong and work on that. We tried to accept the loss and keep working. For sure that is one of the reasons why I am holding this trophy. Having this means a lot. "The last game I served very well, I had some tough moments in the game before, but in best-of-five matches every moment can change the match, so I'm very happy I held my nerve." Bob Geldof says Live Aid still resonates today 40 years on from benefit concerts
The campaigner and rock star, 73, said its resonance is why there are documentaries, radio programmes, and a musical dedicated to that day on July 13 1985, 'when something weird happened'. Ahead of a special gala performance of musical Just For One Day: The Live Aid Musical, Geldof told the PA news agency: 'I was at Oasis last night in Manchester, who were staggeringly brilliant. 'So I'm buzzing, and I'm still amazed that this old guy can be so thrilled by a great rock and roll band. 'But imagine 40 years ago, seeing all of the greatest rock and roll bands, one after the other, being exceptional for free, no contracts with anyone, they had to pay their own plane fares. 'For some reason, the performances were 'other', just like the day itself', he added. 'They rose way above and everyone hung around to watch each other.' He continued: 'I've never seen it (Live Aid) because I can't watch or listen to myself. I can't stand all the stupid things I say. 'But I saw the end of Live Aid two weeks ago, which was the Christmas song. 'And here are the greatest creative talents of the rock era, and it's like the worst ever nativity play in school, like the kids haven't learned the lines, the teachers are going nuts, and they all hung around. They wouldn't leave.' He continued: 'The sheer improbable exhilaration of it… that is what resonates… It's a time when Britain did something profound with their American brothers. 'And I think it resonates particularly now, because in the sort of age of the death of kindness, which (Donald) Trump and (JD) Vance and (Elon) Musk have ushered in.' Geldof said he think it resonates 'more' than when it was 'possible for the boys and girls with guitars to corral the political and economic structures of the world', also encouraging 'the entire electorate and population' to give over money that would help the situation. 'I think that's why you've got musicals. It's why you've got documentaries, it's why you've got whole stations dedicated to that day 40 years ago when something weird happened', he said. Co-organiser Midge Ure told PA: 'We were in the middle of this. We couldn't see just how big this thing was. 'It's like being in the middle of a cyclone or a hurricane or whatever. 'It's all going on around you. There's a weird stillness because you're dealing with the nuts and bolts of the daily process.' The Scottish singer, 71, added: 'It seems to have grown over the last 40 years. It's now a historic, social moment.' Set up by Geldof and Ure, the movement started with the release of the charity single Do They Know It's Christmas? on December 1984 which featured a number of celebrities and soared to number one in the UK singles chart. Then, in July, a concert was held in the US and in London, the latter of which was attended by the late Diana, Princess of Wales and the King, then Prince of Wales, who watched on as the likes of Sir Paul McCartney, David Bowie, Spandau Ballet and Queen performed. An estimated audience of more than 1.5 billion watched the broadcast and concerts inspired by the initiative were held in other countries across the globe. The US equivalent was held at the John F Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia and saw performances from Crosby, Stills, Nash And Young, The Beach Boys, Bob Dylan, Sir Mick Jagger and Tina Turner. A musical about Live Aid, which includes songs from Sir Elton John, Bowie and Queen, premiered at The Old Vic theatre in January 2024 and is currently showing at the West End's Shaftesbury Theatre.

He quipped: 'Plenty going on for that, it's obviously a big one, it is a big birthday… I myself look forward to my 40th in four years' time." Moving on from his joke, he explained to "No I think it is going to be great. We are going to do lots of different things. "We have a few friendship groups. We have an Irish group, we have an English group. So we will probably have a party in Ireland, and we will do something at home as well. 'I might take her away and do something special as well. We will plan stuff in more detail, it is at the tail end of the year so thankfully we do have time to organise that. But Vogue is ahead of the curb on that one and we know a bunch of stuff that we are doing.' Spencer pulled it back after his savage dig, but it's not the first time he's made a joke at his wife's expense. During an appearance on comedian Joanne McNally's podcast, I Ghosted My Therapist, Vogue recalled a time her friend got her back up over one of Spencer's comments. Vogue remembered: "He [Spencer] said something about me having small t*ts and you went for him. You said, 'I'm only allowed to say that', he couldn't understand why he wasn't allowed to say it." Joanne, 41, confirmed: "Yeah, it was the tone or something, I just didn't like the tone of it." Vogue laughed: "That sounds like you might have been serious, 'I know you look at those nipples all day long, but doesn't mean you can slag them [off]'." The comedian explained: "It's all about the tone, there was no wink at the end, no, no, no, I intervened. I can say you've got s**t t*ts but if your husband says it, it's totally different." But Vogue certainly gives as good as she gets, with the Dublin native having her fair share of jabs at Spencer. Recently, she said she initially thought the business owner was a "sociopath" when she first met him. In a recent interview with the Sun, Vogue revealed that she already didn't like Spencer before she met him. The mother-of-three confessed: "I kind of met him with a preconceived idea, and I was like, 'I'm not going to like him' because I thought he was a sociopath." Vogue soon changed her mind, adding: "But after I met him, I loved his personality straight away . . . he was so sound, but I was being really good at being single and I wanted to stay single, so I thought, 'He's going to be a really good friend' — that's the first thing I thought."
