Anti-ICE protester learns bone-crunchingly painful lesson after trying to stop car in middle of LA street
Footage shows the 20-year-old female protester getting run over by a Red Kia after flopping on top of the vehicle as its driver attempts to cross an intersection.
The incident occurred at the intersection of 5th and Hill Street downtown on Sunday as protesters gathered in the street chanting and waving signs.
Several demonstrators can be seen wearing face masks, while one holds the flag of Palestine in the middle of the intersection.
Video shows the driver rolling into a bicyclist trying to block his path as the crowd began swarming his car.
That's when the defiant female protester stands directly in front of the vehicle, which initially slows down before speeding up again.
The woman is shown being knocked to the ground in the shocking clip, as the driver appears to run over over her leg or foot before speeding off.
She can be seen howling in pain before being helped to her feet by members of the crowd.
The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the incident as a hit-and-run and is searching for the driver
According to the LA Fire Department, medical personnel responded to the scene and the woman suffered a 'isolated lower extremity injury.'
The LA Police Department are investigating the incident as a hit-and-run and is searching for the driver.
In a statement, the fire department said: 'LAFD resources responded to a pedestrian struck at low speed by an automobile.
'The pedestrian (20F) was transported in fair condition to a local hospital with an isolated lower extremity injury. No other patients reported.'
The hit-and-run followed protests breaking out on Sunday outside of LA's City Hall and a rally in Pershing Square.
A similar incident also occurred on Saturday night at a 'No Kings' demonstration in Riverside, according to the police department.
In that incident, a woman was taken to hospital in a stable condition having suffered significant injuries.
Footage on social media showed protestors swarming a black car that then plowed into multiple people. An active search for the driver is underway.
Parts of Los Angeles erupted earlier this month after anti ICE-raid protestors seized on a number of raids being carried out across the city.
The demonstrations in LA quickly turned into riots that saw downtown businesses looted and vehicles set ablaze.
President Donald Trump then called in 4,000 members of the National Guard and 700 Marines to quell the disorder.
California has sued to regain control of the National Guardsmen from Trump, arguing he overstepped his authority. That suit is working its way through federal court.
Over the weekend millions marched as part of the 'No Kings' events that were organized across the country.
The events were coordinated to coincide with President Donald Trump's military parade through Washington DC.
Trump has made deporting undocumented immigrants a key priority for his second term, after successfully campaigning against an alleged 'invasion' by criminals.

Gulf Coast Stapletons influencer DEFENDS shamed husband after he plead guilty to 20 counts of having child abuse images
AN INFLUENCER has defended her husband online after he was sentenced to prison for child abuse images. Joshua Stapleton, 39, and his wife Brittani, 31, document their Gulf Coast travels across social media, posting what on the surface seems like a perfect life - but it's far from the truth. 6 6 6 6 The pair have amassed over one million likes across TikTok and Instagram with more than 81,000 followers, sharing workout videos, meals and vacations. But their popularity has certainly diminished since investigators made the heinous discovery that husband Stapleton had downloaded child abuse images, Fox 5 News reports. Over four years since authorities initially launched their investigation, Stapleton received a 20-year sentence after pleading guilty to 20 counts of sexual exploitation of children. Five years are to be served in custody and the remaining 15 on probation. But wife Brittani has made it clear she stands with her husband and posted a lengthy TikTok video addressing frequently asked questions on the harrowing situation. She started the video by threatening legal action against anything spreading what she called "false" statements being spread about her husband that are "damaging" to his reputation. Brittani said she knew about the charges against her husband, who wed in 2023, as they were friends before they started dating. She said: "When the charges occurred, we were friends. [...] I have a really good judge of character and I knew something was up. I knew that was not Josh. "We had already been on several trips together beforehand. I'd spent pretty close time with this guy and I was like, hmm, something's wrong here. "Josh was absolutely upfront with me about everything in the charges. There were no secrets." Stapleton's arrest followed an investigation launched by the Cartersville Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division, supported by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the US Department of Homeland Security. The investigation was launched based on a tip submitted through the Internet Crimes Against Children program. It was during this probe the 39-year-old was exposed for downloading numerous child abuse images between 2018 and 2020. Addressing another question from concerned social media users, Brittany defended that the couple's friends with children are aware of the charges against Stapleton. She said: " We've always been absolutely upfront with everyone. And guess what? "A lot of these people have our backs because they have personally witnessed Josh around their children and know that there's no issue." Stapleton was originally charged with 15 counts of child pornography possession, but was later indicted on a harrowing 40 counts of sexual exploitation of children. He ultimately accepted a non-negotiable plea deal and pleaded guilty to 20 counts, while the remaining 20 charges were dropped. Brittani shockingly rejected the claim that child images were on his "work laptop," slamming them as "false". She ranted: " Josh could not possibly have that on his work laptop because if you have ever worked for a corporation or any big company or anything along those lines, you know how secure those computers are." Brittani also pushed back against accusations that they were merely showing "fake lives" across their social media platforms, and said they are "still happy" as a couple despite the vile charges. She rambles: " We are still happy. He and I have no issues. He has been fully transparent and honest with me. "Therefore, I know everything. I have been to court. I know everything. I can assure you that nothing about us was fake." Stapleton will have to abide by multiple "sex offender" conditions upon his release. Bartow County authorities haven't released additional information about the plea proceedings. Stapleton is currently being held in the Bartow County Sheriff's Office Jail. 6 6

EXCLUSIVE Texas flood death toll could top 100 as family members summoned to Kerrville to ID bodies of through DNA
Texas 's Division of Emergency Management predicted the number of dead as a result of catastrophic flooding in Kerrville on July 4 would top 100, Daily Mail can exclusively reveal. In an email sent out Saturday, the state disaster office told partners the number of dead would surpass 100, two different sources confirmed to Daily Mail. The estimate of the dead is vastly different than the message state officials are projecting publicly, insisting that they are still searching for people who are alive, and refusing to say rescue efforts have shifted to recovery of remains. 'Our state assets and local partners are continuing to search for live victims,' the head of TDEM W. Nim Kidd told reporters at a press conference Saturday. 'Our hope and prayer is that there is still people alive that are out there.' As of Sunday morning, 59 had been confirmed dead, and another 12 campers missing. Of the dead, 38 are adults and 21 are children, local officials said. Additionally, DNA testing will be used to help identify the remains of the flood victims, a state source told Daily Mail. Families have been asked for blood draws or other records to help identify the mangled bodies of loved ones who have been recovered. Relatives of the missing have started arriving in the Kerrville area from across the Lone Star State to provide investigators with DNA samples. More is emerging about the victims, including those lost at Camp Mystic. The all-girl's Christian camp hosted 700 campers, including Lila Bonner and Eloise Peck of Dallas. Their parents were told the devastating news that their girls, described as 'best friends,' had died in the flood waters. Some of those who are missing or died at Camp Mystic are connected to wealthy families in Highland Park. Known as the Beverly Hills of Dallas, Highland Park and neighboring Park Cities are home to many of missing girls who belong to prominent families. Some have ties to Highland Park United Methodist Church - whose most famous member is former President George. W Bush. 'This crisis affects many our HPUMC family and our local Park Cities community, including generations of women and families touched by Camp Mystic,' wrote Highland Park United Methodist Church head pastor Paul Rasmussen. 'One of the girls unaccounted for, Hadley Hanna, is a part of our church family. Please pray for her safety and for her parents, Doug and Carrie, along with her two sisters.' Over 300 people attended a prayer vigil at the church Saturday in support of the flood victims. A hotline has been established for anyone who is looking for loved ones. Relatives are asked to call 830-258-1111 with information of the missing, including their last known location.

It was driven by the 'most dangerous man' in sleepy suburbia and now 'military brats' bid for sick memorabilia
The military-style Jeep and trailer that alleged Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann used for duck hunting is now being sold on eBay. The 1972 military utility tactical truck and 1963 trailer are being auctioned, with bids reaching $9,100 as of Friday. According to the description, the M151 A2 model is one of the last of its kind from Indiana-based automotive manufacturer AM General Corp., with only 52,256 miles on the clock. The vintage vehicle also comes with the original registration documents signed by Heuermann and is described in the listing as 'an ideal choice for collectors and individuals looking for a historical value that is sure to be a real tell-tale, whether you are a 'Jeep buff' or 'military brat.' Nearly 30 photos of the Jeep's interior, exterior, and trailer - taken from various angles and in close-up - were posted on eBay. The original ad was posted early Tuesday morning and revealed Heuermann as the owner. However, nearly eight hours later, the post was taken down. A family representative, who is selling the Jeep anonymously, told the Daily Mail that they had to revise the ad to comply with eBay's guidelines, and it was back online by 6 a.m. Wednesday. 'I used his name. They [eBay] said it violates their violence policy. I said, 'For what? He is an alleged criminal - alleged - he has not been convicted.' I didn't think I had violated anything,' the representative said. They added: 'I revised it by writing 'RH.' The family spokesperson expressed hope that omitting Heuermann's full name would not reduce public interest. According to the site's policy: 'Listings that promote or glorify violence or violent acts, or are associated with individuals notorious for committing violent acts, are not allowed.' The family spokesperson confirmed that all proceeds from the sale would go to Heuermann's ex-wife, Asa Ellerup. Ellerup was married to the alleged killer for 27 years. The couple, who raised two children together, lived in the Massapequa Park home that had once belonged to Heuermann's family. Their divorce was finalized in April. David Adamovich, a specialist in serial killer collectibles, who is not involved in the sale, told Daily Mail that the book value based on a military collectible site estimated the Jeep to be worth around $16,700. He believes this value will jump even more if Heuermann is convicted. 'The moment he confesses or is convicted an additional premium would be added to it,' Adamovich said. The description of the Jeep listed on eBay that posted early Tuesday morning The family spokesperson said all the proceeds from the sale would go to Heuermann's ex-wife Asa Ellerup. Asa is seen above outside an April court hearing The Jeep in question is reportedly not connected to the seven murders for which Heuermann has already been charged. The murders span nearly three decades, dating back to 1993. 'We know that police seized the vehicle from his home and conducted an extensive analysis to determine whether it had any links to the crimes,' said Adamovich. 'If it had been tied to any of the murders, authorities would have certainly retained it as evidence for the trial.' In contrast, police have impounded Heuermann's Chevrolet Avalanche, which has not been returned. This has fueled speculation that the vehicle may be connected to the case, Adamovich added. According to the online auction listing, the Jeep includes both a hard top and a soft top, as well as hard and soft doors. Additional parts are stored in boxes in the accompanying trailer. The listing notes that the 'Jeep and trailer ride well' and touts the 1972 vehicle's 'nostalgic experience,' suggesting it's 'certain to turn heads with its classic design and interesting history.' It concludes with, 'Don't get outbid on this one.' As of Friday, 14 bids had been placed. The auction is scheduled to end on July 9. At the time of his arrest Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney called Heuermann an 'ongoing danger' and pleaded with the judge not to allow him bail. Heuermann has pleaded not guilty to all charges and remains in custody at a correctional facility in Suffolk County, Long Island.
