Ariana Madix: I'm the Glam Reaper on Love Island USA

Ariana Madix feels like the "Glam Reaper" on Love Island USA. The 40-year-old star has hosted the hit TV show since 2024, and Ariana admits that she hates delivering bad news to the Islanders. She told Maura Higgins on Love Island USA: Aftersun: "[They] gas me up when I come in [to the villa] because I always hope that I get to bring good news but sometimes I'm the Glam Reaper." Despite this, Ariana has developed real affection for this year's Islanders. The former Vanderpump Rules star admires the contestants for putting themselves in the spotlight and exposing themselves to potentially fierce public criticism. Ariana - who starred on Vanderpump Rules between 2013 and 2024 - shared: "The islanders who were eliminated, there's been a lot of stuff that's just been crazy. "I just want them to know, and any islander who has also left the villa this point, I just want them all to know how much I genuinely really love them and appreciate them for putting themselves out there." Meanwhile, Vanderpump Rules has undergone a reboot ahead of season 12 of the show, and Ariana previously warned the all-new cast that they have a "tough road ahead of them". The reality star is excited to watch the upcoming season of the long-running TV show, but she insisted that it won't be an easy experience for the new line-up. Ariana - who made her Broadway as Roxie Hart in the musical Chicago in 2024 - told Extra: "I'm excited to see, I guess, how it works. "It's such a hard thing to do, I think, to put yourself out there … They have a tough road ahead of them … Anybody, I think, who's done that has lived that, and I think they'll be great. They'll have fun." Ariana also revealed that she learned a lot about herself during her time on Vanderpump Rules. She said: "I've learned to trust myself. I've also learned to trust my gut more and I think I've learned that I can do things that are hard in life."

THE OFFICE Spinoff Series THE PAPER Sets September Premiere on Peacock — GeekTyrant

Peacock has officially set the stage for The Office 's spiritual successor. The Paper , a new mockumentary comedy from The Office creator Greg Daniels and Michael Koman, will premiere on September 4th with four episodes dropping that day. After that, expect two episodes every Thursday through September 25th. Set in the same universe as The Office , The Paper picks up with the documentary crew that once chronicled the strange lives of Dunder Mifflin's Scranton branch. Now they're looking for their next subject—and they find it in a struggling Toledo newspaper, The Truth Teller, and the ambitious publisher trying to breathe life back into it. The ensemble cast includes Domhnall Gleeson, Sabrina Impacciatore, Chelsea Frei, Melvin Gregg, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Alex Edelman, Ramona Young, Tim Key, and The Office alum Oscar Nuñez. The series comes from Daniels and Koman, who are are joined by executive producers Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant (creators of the original UK Office ). Domhnall Gleeson, fresh off starring opposite John Krasinski in Fountain of Youth , opened up about what Krasinski and Steve Carell told him about signing onto The Paper : 'I mean, his big advice that he gave me was to do it. And the same with Steve Carell, another just wonderful actor who I'd worked with before. And their advice was, if it's Greg Daniels, you should do it because getting to work with him is a treat that not many people get to have.'

Elon Musk's AI bot adds a ridiculous anime companion with ‘NSFW' mode

People who pay for access to SuperGrok can now try the AI chatbot's new 'Companions' avatars, xAI owner Elon Musk announced Monday morning. The companions available currently include Ani, an anime avatar, and Rudy, a cartoony red panda. Ani also has what TestingCatalog describes as an 'NSFW' mode where the character wears lingerie. (And just a warning: if you search for posts about the characters on X, you'll probably come across NSFW videos.) Right now, users have to go into settings to turn on the companions, but 'we will make this easier to turn on in a few days,' Musk says, describing this version as a 'soft launch.' Even though I'm a free user of Grok, when I opened the Grok app, I was able to talk to both avatars, so the characters may be more widely available. Users have found that another AI character called 'Chad' is in the works. The app already has a voice mode where you can chat back and forth with a faceless version of Grok, and that has an NSFW toggle. The addition of the animated characters follows Grok posting antisemitism and Hitler praise last week, which xAI said was due to an 'update to a code path upstream of the @grok bot.'
