Conor Keeley's late Drogheda equaliser denies Waterford victory
After Blues skipper Padraig Amond thought that he had won the game with an 81st-minute finish, the visitors had the final laugh in added time when the central defender hammered home from close-range when he was left unmarked at the back post to meet a Darragh Markey corner-kick.
The Waterford front three combined for the breakthrough goal on 19 minutes.
Conan Noonan slipped the ball into the feet of Amond, who in turn played the perfectly weighted pass for Tommy Lonergan, who beat keeper Luke Dennison with a deflected effort off Elicha Ahui from 14 yards.
Drogheda were level from a set-piece at the other end four minutes later. Shane Farrell sent in a left-wing corner-kick into the centre of the penalty area and Warren Davis powered a simple close-range header to the far corner past a helpless Stephen McMullan.
Davis was twice denied in a bid to give his side the lead on 40 minutes when Shane Farrell whipped in another dangerous left-wing corner that saw Keeley send the ball back into the six-yard box for the striker, but after Rowan McDonald blocked his initial effort, he hooked the rebound just over.
John Coleman's side got their noses in front on 81 minutes when Grant Horton sent over a right-wing cross that saw Ahui clear to Dean McMenamy, who saw his goal-bound effort touched home by Amond past Dennison.
The leveller came three minutes into added time from another set piece.
Darragh Markey swung over a right-wing corner-kick to the back post, where the unchallenge Keeley blasted high to the roof of the net from close-range before Ahui was sent off late on for a second yellow card.
Waterford FC: McMullan; Horton, McDonald, Leahy, Burke; Olayinka (McMenamy 77), Glenfield (McCormack 85), White; Lonergan (Pouwels 88), Amond, Noonan.

FAI Cup draw: Champions Drogheda United drawn against Derry City in repeat of last year's final
Defending champions Drogheda United will travel to the Brandywell to take on Derry City in a repeat of last season's FAI Cup final, one of four all Premier Division clashes to come out of the pot in Tuesday's third-round draw. St Patrick's Athletic will host Shelbourne in a Dublin derby at Richmond Park, while Turners cross will see an all Munster encounter between Cork City and Waterford. Bohemians will also host Sligo Rovers at Dalymount Park. Drogheda's reward for winning the cup final last November was qualification to the Uefa Conference League but they were subsequently removed as their owners Trivela are not allowed to enter two teams in the same European competition. Trivela's Swedish club Silkeborg IF also progressed to the Conference League. The FAI Cup takes on greater significance this year as the champions go into the Europa League qualifiers, where they would earn a minimum of €4.31 million by reaching the group stages. Progress in the Conference League only guarantees €3.17 million in Uefa prize money. READ MORE The upgrade is due to Shamrock Rovers' recent success in Europe. Stephen Bradley's side face Longford Town in Tallaght in the last 16, while there is a rare Galway derby as amateur outfit Salthill Devon were drawn against Galway United. All ties will be played the week ending Sunday, August 17th. FAI Cup third-round ties Finn Harps v Bray Wanderers Kerry v Cobh Ramblers Shamrock Rovers v Longford Town Cork City v Waterford Salthill Devon v Galway United St. Patrick's Athletic v Shelbourne Derry City v Drogheda United Bohemians v Sligo Rovers Ties to be played the week ending Sunday, August 17th

FAI Cup round-up: Goals galore as top tier go through
There were ten FAI Cup second round games on Friday night as the Premier Division sides progressed as the non-league contingent were unable to spring any surprises. The game of the night saw Sligo Rovers get the better of First Division leaders Dundalk, while Shamrock Rovers put four past Wexford, and Derry City scored five goals inside the final 30 minutes to defeat Treaty United. And there were big wins for other top-tier sides, Bohemians, Drogheda United and Waterford who also progressed to the third round of the competition. Bohs put seven past fellow Dublin side Killester Donnycarney with Colm Whelan scoring a hat-trick and Markuss Strods bagging a brace in the one-sided contest. Drogheda United put five past Dublin club Crumlin United, and while the County Louth side were only leading by one goal at half-time, four second-half strikes put the cup tie beyond doubt. Waterford also hit five past another non-league Dublin side, St Mochta's, winning 5-1 with Tom Lonergan scoring in both halves for the Deise club. It was a closer contest in Galway, however, as John Caulfield's side held a slender 1-0 lead thanks to Stephen Walsh's opener, before finally getting a second in the 74th minute to seal the tie thanks to David Hurley's decider. Wayside Celtic, likewise, were unable to do cause a shock in the local derby with Bray Wanderers as the First Division side ran out 3-0 winners. Elsewhere, Finn Harps beat UCD 3-0, while Kerry came from behind to take Athlone Town to extra time before Kennedy Amechi grabbed a winner in the 96th minute to send the Munster side through.
