CM Naidu for zero tolerance structure against corruption

directed officials to establish a governance system that ensures zero tolerance towards corruption across all departments. In a review meeting held at the Undavalli camp office, Naidu stressed that corruption, wherever detected, must be swiftly investigated and punished.
The review focused on public feedback collected through IVRS and CSS surveys regarding various govt schemes. Officials informed the chief minister that the current coalition govt recorded the highest satisfaction ratings in one year. Naidu called for a technical audit of these surveys to identify service gaps and ensure improvements in areas of dissatisfaction.
The chief minister emphasised ten critical public issues, including welfare, employment generation, road development, and healthcare. He announced that job fairs would be held in all 175 constituencies and that the Mana Mitra WhatsApp governance platform would be rolled out by August 15 to streamline service delivery. He also instructed officials to explore alternatives such as coupons, direct cash transfers, or home delivery of rations for the elderly and differently-abled.
Public satisfaction reports showed encouraging trends in pensions, health services, temple amenities, municipal services, and transport. Naidu insisted that services with lower ratings must be improved urgently.

Andhra Pradesh's ‘free bus ride for women' should set a benchmark, says Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu
Taking stock of the Super Six scheme of free travel for women in APSRTC buses in a review meeting on Saturday, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu told the officials to ensure adequate availability of buses, keeping in view the likely surge in occupancy after its scheduled launch on August 15. Mr. Naidu suggested that new buses be procured, or hired if required, while ordering that all buses that might be needed for the APSRTC's fleet in the future should be electric vehicles, and the extent to which the existing buses could be converted to electric buses should be studied. All buses should be fitted with GPS devices, he added. Mr. Naidu said the promises made to people at the time of elections ought to be kept in spite of the financial burden entailed by them, and, in the same vein, stressed the need for fiscal prudence, saying that every single rupee was valuable. He exhorted the APSRTC officials to explore new revenue streams, reduce expenditure, and improve operational efficiency, and highlighted the importance of cleanliness on all premises of the public carrier and in the buses. Further, Mr. Naidu advised the officials to examine whether it was feasible to operate buses through battery swapping as it would be cost effective, and to evaluate the operation of battery-operated and non-battery buses, and private management of service stations. The officials told the Chief Minister that 2,536 additional buses were required for the free travel scheme, and the cost was estimated to be ₹996 crore. It was expected that women could make 889 million trips annually under the scheme from the present 430.60 million. As on date, Delhi, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Telangana were offering free bus travel to women, and Andhra Pradesh should set a benchmark thereof, Mr. Naidu added.

Dravidian University in Kuppam adds Engg wing
Kuppam (Chittoor district): Dravidian University in Kuppam is set to establish its own dedicated engineering college, marking a major milestone in the institution's academic journey. The move, which gives further boost to higher education in the State, comes following an initiative by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who represents the Kuppam constituency in the State Assembly. Though the town of Kuppam already has a private engineering college, this marks the first time Dravidian University will have an engineering college under its own administration. The University currently offers a variety of programmes in arts, science, technology and management, but lacked a formal engineering stream until now. In a circular issued on June 27, 2025, the University announced the approval from the Government of Andhra Pradesh to launch the new engineering college. The institution will begin operations from the 2025–26 academic year with two BTech programmes: Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), and CSE with a specialisation in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI & ML). Each programme will accommodate 60 students per year. The University expressed gratitude to the State government, particularly Chief Minister Naidu, for sanctioning the much-awaited college. 'We take pride and pleasure in sharing this historic development with all teaching and non-teaching staff,' the circular stated. 'We thank the State government for supporting the institution's growth and commitment to academic excellence.' Welcoming the move, MLC and Government Whip in the Legislative Council Dr Kancharla Srikanth described the announcement as a key step in strengthening the educational landscape of the region. 'The students of Kuppam have been waiting for this opportunity for a long time,' he said, thanking CM Chandrababu Naidu and Human Resources Development Minister Nara Lokesh on behalf of the local community. Leaders of the TDP and residents of Kuppam also hailed the decision, calling it a timely intervention that would bring quality technical education to the doorstep of meritorious students.

Make AP ‘zero crime rate' state with AI, CM tells cops
Guntur: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday urged the police department to transform Andhra Pradesh into a crime-free state using technology. Speaking at the 'AI for AP Police - Hackathon 2025' event, the Chief Minister cited the Viveka murder case as an example of how technology can be effectively used in investigations. The hackathon, organised by the AP police department and four US-based AI companies, focused on leveraging technology for crime control and accelerated investigations. Over 160 teams participated, with CM Naidu engaging them in discussions on how technology can enhance police services and improve performance. Addressing the conference, Chandrababu Naidu stated, 'Development will only happen if law and order are under control. That's why, even when I was the Chief Minister of the united state, I gave high priority to law and order.' Referring to the Viveka murder case, he said, 'Allegations were made against me, and I was criticised with phrases like 'Naraasura Rakta Charitra'. However, the CBI, by using technological methods like Google Takeout in its investigation, brought the facts to light.' 'We managed to control crime even without AI. Now, technology is available, and evidence is easily accessible. If mistakes are made, the government will take necessary action. Youth should also benefit from technology. In the past, we promoted IT. Now, through Quantum Valley, we are going to showcase Telugu prowess. Silicon Valley in America, and Quantum Valley here,' he said. Earlier, welcoming the guests to the Hackathon, DGP Harish Kumar Gupta highlighted AP's legacy as a technology pioneer, noting how its eCOPS platform became the national CCTNS standard. He stated that the hackathon, conceived just three months ago with knowledge partner 4SightAI, focuses on eight high-impact, real-world use cases across productivity, intelligence, investigation, and cybersecurity, designed for direct deployment and potential scaling to other government departments. The DGP noted that the IndiaAI Division from MeitY is supporting the initiative, envisioning it as a model for AI-First Governance nationwide. Global AI communities are closely watching, as AP's use cases mirror unresolved challenges in public safety worldwide. DGP Gupta emphasised this is 'just the beginning,' promising a long-term roadmap to establish Andhra Pradesh as a global leader in AI for law enforcement, with plans to showcase work at international platforms. The DGP thanked partners 4SightAI and RVR & JC College of Engineering, and the CM and Home Minister for their visionary leadership. Union minister P Chandrasekhar and home minister V Anitha also participated in the event.
