For Bianca Bustamante, attending the 'F1' film premiere night in London's Leicester Square felt like a 'fever dream.'
On Instagram, the Filipina racer shared a photo of herself in a bold red cutout gown for the red carpet event, along with an emotional caption.
'I can't believe I was there, right there, in the same room, existing, living,' Bianca wrote.
'I've got so many butterflies right now, and not even in little Bia's wildest dreams would this have ever seemed possible,' she added.
At the premiere night, Bianca saw the film's stars, singers, and drivers up close, including Brad Pitt, Lewis Hamilton, and Ed Sheeran, to name a few.
'Watching Formula 1 come alive on the big screen, with a storyline that truly melted my heart,' she said.
'I can't wait for the next generation to watch this and say, 'I want to be an F1 driver,' the same way I did when I first saw 'Rush' and Niki Lauda,' she added.
Bianca, who was listed among Forbes' 30 under 30, attended the UK premiere of Netflix's 'F1:The Academy' in May, where she was among the featured female racers.
Produced by Apple Original Films, 'F1' was made in collaboration with ten Formula 1 teams, with some scenes shot during actual F1 races in 2024.
'F1' is now showing in Philippine cinemas.

SB19 dances to 'Soda Pop' by Saja Boys in 'KPop Demon Hunters'

The "KPop Demon Hunters" fever has now reached SB19! On TikTok, the P-pop Kings shared a 13-second clip of themselves dancing to the song "Soda Pop" performed by the fictional boy group Saja Boys featured in the Netflix film "KPop Demon Hunters." Meanwhile, fans and even Netflix Philippines can't help but gush over SB19's mini-dance cover in the comment section. "Does the SB in SB19 stand for Saja Boys? Ginalingan n'yo as always," Netflix wrote. In the film, Saja Boys—a boy band whose members are secretly demons—serve as the rival group to Huntr/x, a girl group who lead double lives as demon hunters. As if that's not interesting enough, the songs are performed by Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung of the K-pop group Twice. Lea Salonga was also credited as the voice of character Celine, a retired demon hunter who now guides Rumi, Mira, and Zoey in their journey as the next generation of demon hunters. SB19 is currently in Taiwan for their Simula at Wakas world tour. They held their Taipei show on Sunday. —Jade Veronique Yap/MGP, GMA Integrated News

Carla Abellana recalls witnessing 'F1' filming in Abu Dhabi

Carla Abellana had a once-in-a-lifetime experience during her trip to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in 2024! On Instagram, the Kapuso actress shared that when she attended the Formula 1 race in Abu Dhabi in December, she also got to witness the filming of the "F1" film, top-billed by Brad Pitt. "I did witness the filming firsthand, and it was every bit awesome!" Carla wrote, describing the experience as something "I'll never forget." "How lucky was I that I got to watch the end of the F1 season at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix AND watch behind the scenes as they filmed the 'F1' movie?" she wrote. Her videos featured scenes from the trackside and the podium, with glimpses of Brad and Damson Idris at the Yas Marina Circuit. In the "F1" film, Sonny Hayes (Brad) is a former racing prodigy whose career was cut short by a devastating crash in the '90s. Decades later, he's drawn back into Formula 1 by his ex-teammate Ruben Cervantes (Javier Bardem), now the owner of a struggling team. Tasked with mentoring rising star Joshua Pearce (Damson), Sonny must confront his past and prove he still has what it takes. Produced by Apple Original Films, "F1" was made in collaboration with ten Formula 1 teams, with some scenes shot during actual F1 races in 2024. Lewis Hamilton is part of the movie as well. Apple's ‘F1: The Movie' roars to top of US, Canada box office

LOS ANGELES — Apple's high-octane racing film "F1: The Movie" roared to the top of the US and Canadian box office this weekend, fueled by star-power and a finely-tuned marketing campaign, according to Comscore. The movie, which stars Brad Pitt as a Formula 1 racer who returns to the track after an accident nearly ends his career, brought in $55.6 million in ticket sales in the two countries. That tally edged past the $45 million to $55 million pre-weekend domestic forecast from the Boxoffice Company. Worldwide receipts topped $88 million, propelled by the sport's strong fan base in Europe and Latin America. Racing films typically sputter in theaters, according to Daniel Loria, senior vice president of the Boxoffice Company, a theatrical ecommerce and data services firm. The most successful of the genre, the widely acclaimed "Ford v Ferrari," opened to a modest $31 million in November 2019. "We haven't had that many movies about car racing that have broken through," Loria said. One notable outlier is the "Fast & Furious" action series that expanded beyond its street racing roots to include heists, espionage and an improbable moon shot. "F1" had several factors weighing in its favor, helping to broaden its appeal beyond racing enthusiasts. The film's director, Joseph Kosinski, brought the same high-intensity cinematic treatment of Formula 1 racing that he lent to the fighter jet sequences in his 2022 movie, "Top Gun: Maverick." Moviegoers who were polled by CinemaScore gave F1 an A rating, signaling their approval. Netflix's "Formula 1: Drive to Survive" series helped fuel the popularity of Formula 1 racing, particularly in the US. Apple also put marketing muscle behind its movie, an Apple Original Filmsproduction that Variety reported cost in excess of $200 million to make. The tech giant touted "F1" during CEO Tim Cook's keynote address at this year's Worldwide Developers Conference, and offered a movie discount to iPhone users. Apple Music also amplified the film's soundtrack. Warner Bros, which marketed and distributed the movie, developed a bespoke campaign that emphasized the participation of Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton in Europe and Latin America, while focusing on Pitt in the US. "It's very much like a perfectly coordinated pit crew in a race," said Paul Dergarabedian, senior media analyst with Comscore, an information and analytics company. "They shot this thing off the starting line with great success." "F1" represents the biggest opening weekend for Apple, whose previous cinematic efforts, such as director Martin Scorsese's "Killers of the Flower Moon," garnered critical acclaim but achieved modest results at the box office. "The film's outstanding debut reflects both the excitement of Formula 1 and the deeply emotional and entertaining story crafted by the entire cast and creative team," Zack Van Amburg, Apple's head of worldwide video, said in a statement. — Reuters
