The move represents a strategic addition to the company's executive leadership and a meaningful step toward stronger gender representation in Bahrain's industrial sector. Rahman, a UK-qualified lawyer with over two decades of experience, will lead Alba's legal and governance functions. She brings with her a global perspective shaped by work across the UK, UAE and Bahrain, advising on corporate, M&A, and regulatory matters. Legal and governance credentials Her career includes senior roles at Clifford Chance, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Baker McKenzie, and Al Tamimi & Company. She also served in-house at The Bahrain Petroleum Company and Eagle Hills Diyar Company, focusing on legal matters such as mergers, compliance, and real estate transactions. She has advised financial institutions, real estate developers, and multinational companies on a wide range of legal matters, including M&A transactions, corporate governance, and real estate development. Sohaila has held senior positions at Al Tamimi & Company, The Bahrain Petroleum Company, Eagle Hills Diyar Company, KBH Kaanuun, Baker & McKenzie, Clifford Chance LLP, and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
