Reacting to the viral clip, Kannauj Police said, "It is to be informed in the said matter that the said woman is a resident of Kanpur Nagar, who made this video within the Kanpur Nagar district area. In this regard, the Kanpur Nagar Police have been informed."

The woman identified as Shalini Pandey, who runs the Instagram handle @salinipanday60, has over 60,000 followers and has posted more than 2,550 times on her account.
On Instagram, many users slammed her and urged the police to take action against her. One user wrote, "License of such people should be cancelled. This is my request to SSP and DM with folded hands."
Earlier, Simran Yadav, a social media influencer known as the "Lucknow Queen," went viral for brandishing a pistol in an Instagram reel video shot on a highway in Lucknow. The video, which went viral, showed her dancing to a Bhojpuri song while waving a gun. The Lucknow Police took notice of the video and directed the concerned authorities to take necessary action.

Main accused still absconding days after 14-year-old girl gang-raped at Ghaziabad home: Police
Three days after a 14-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped inside her flat in Ghaziabad, police on Wednesday said that the main accused is still absconding. Two of the four accused, who were apprehended on Tuesday, are both 19, and they have been formally arrested, officers added. According to an official statement issued by the Ghaziabad Police, both the teenagers were apprehended from the Industrial Area Police Post on Tuesday, below the Mehrouli Underpass. 'Following the registration of the FIR on Monday under relevant sections, a team was formed, and based on CCTV footage and local intelligence, police arrested the two accused,' read the statement. Earlier, police had said that all four accused were believed to be minors. 'Both the arrested accused are residents of Ghaziabad, and are around 19 years of age,' the statement read. Meanwhile, an officer said that the girl was yet to record her statement before the magistrate. 'She was to record her statement on Tuesday, but we could not do that because of her poor health,' the officer said, adding that the medical examination report of the girl is also awaited. According to the girl's father, who filed the police complaint with the Ghaziabad Police on Sunday, she received a call from one of the accused when her mother had gone to a nearby market to buy groceries. She was alone at home when the incident happened, he said. 'She received a call on Instagram from a boy who had been texting her on social media for the last two days. He told her that he was coming to the flat to meet her,' the complaint stated. The girl's father further alleged that when his daughter opened the door, the four accused forcibly dragged her inside the room by covering her mouth with their hands and raped her by taking turns. The senior officers involved in the investigation further told The Indian Express that, prima facie, it appeared that the girl knew the main accused as they studied in the same school. 'The accused knew the girl, and the other boys allegedly reached there later, after the main accused called them. We are still investigating the case and will apprehend the main accused,' said the officer, adding that the gangrape allegations are under investigation. Instagram influencers arrested in UP for ‘vulgar' content; earned ₹30,000/month from ‘cheap' reels
The Uttar Pradesh police have arrested two Instagram influencers - Mehak and Pari - for posting 'vulgar' content on social media to gain views. According to the First Information Report (FIR), besides the two influencers identified as Mehak and Pari (alias Nisha), two of their other team members have also been named in the case. They were arrested on Monday night. A search for Mehak and Pari on Instagram reveals multiple accounts with large followings, including '@mehakpari143', which has close to 4.8 lakh followers. Several mirror accounts have also surfaced, sharing their videos where they discuss sex-related topics and use commonly heard profanities. Police said that some of these accounts have been removed by the platform following legal directives, though a few were still accessible as of Wednesday evening (July 16). The social media influencers in question were earning 'approximately ₹ 25,000 to ₹ 30,000 per month from their Instagram content.' "Tempted by this income, they resorted to using vulgar language and obscene visuals to attract viewers and gain cheap popularity," a police official was quoted as saying. Sambhal Superintendent of Police Krishan Bishnoi told the media that Mehak, Pari, and Hina - residents of Shahbazpur village under the Asmoli police station limits - had been uploading 'reels containing obscene language, abuses and gestures.' 'Through these videos, they were crossing all limits of obscenity. There was a lot of anger among the local people and villagers due to their actions. After a complaint by the villagers, action was taken,' the officer said. 'All those who spread obscenity to gain cheap popularity on Instagram are requested not to do such things. The police will not hesitate to take strict legal action against such people,' he added. 2 Instagram Influencers Arrested For Abusive, Obscene Content In UP
Two Instagram influencers from Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal have been arrested for creating and circulating obscene and abusive content on social media. The duo, Mehak and Pari, have a significant following online. The arrests come after a formal complaint was lodged against the influencers. Sambhal Police took swift action, confirming that Mehak and Pari, along with two other team members, Hina and Jarrar Alam, have been booked. Authorities said the group was involved in producing offensive videos with the primary aim of generating income through social media platforms. "For the past several days, some girls had been making and sharing abusive videos, spreading obscenity," police said in a statement. "When the matter was reported to the police station, the concerned Instagram ID was immediately analysed to identify those involved. One such account was mehekaurpari143." Police revealed that the group was earning approximately Rs 25,000 to Rs 30,000 per month from their Instagram content. Tempted by this income, they resorted to using vulgar language and obscene visuals to attract viewers. Every individual has the fundamental right to express themselves and share their views with the world, but that right is not absolute. There are certain restrictions on it, and one must act keeping in mind these limits, along with social norms, decency, and morality."
