Chandi Dayle becomes group leader but battles self-doubt and emotional scars behind the scenes
Although Chandi is a reserved presence compared to some of her more outspoken teammates, she was voted a 1st Group Leader by all 24 rookies—an incredible feat that speaks volumes about the quiet respect she commanded. In the words of DCC's Senior Director Kelli Finglass, the group leaders 'help with choreography, communication, and serve as mentors.' Yet for Chandi, stepping into leadership meant confronting internal struggles she had long buried.
Chandi has a history of masking her pain. Her childhood was marked by abandonment—her father told her they didn't need to see each other again—and later, a physically abusive relationship that left lingering fear. 'I used to hide my past, afraid of judgment and shame,' she wrote during Domestic Violence Awareness Month. 'As a survivor, I know I am more than my scars.'
Her fellow DCC members, including mentor Judy Trammell, recognized her difficulty making big decisions and constantly seeking approval.
'She craves her attention and approval,' Judy noted, seeing a younger version of herself in Chandi.
A Bahamas fling, mental health struggles, and her decision to retire spark controversy and reflection
Things came to a head after a fling with a man she met in the Bahamas following her breakup with boyfriend Ryan. Feeling emotionally vulnerable and alone, Chandi invited him back to her hotel room—a choice that sparked tension among teammates over security concerns. She soon took a mental health break, missing games and practices.

During her absence, teammate KayDianna—who had temporarily stepped into Chandi's leadership role—became entangled in controversy for vaguely referencing the Bahamas incident on TikTok. A screen-recorded clip ignited a firestorm online, leading to a bullying investigation. KayDianna was suspended and ultimately walked away from the team.
In the season finale, Chandi hobbled into her final meeting in a hip brace and delivered a tearful goodbye: 'There was a long time where I was scared to live without dance because that was my safe place.' Now retired, Chandi is focusing on healing, judging for her alma mater's Pomline team, and embracing a new chapter beyond the sidelines.

Netflix's 'Aap Jaisa Koi' star R. Madhavan on 'Dhurandhar' co-star Ranveer Singh's flops: 'A couple of not-so-good films...'
The actor continued, 'If you see the great actors in Hollywood like Tom Cruise and Tom Hanks, they don't do 50-60 films in their lifetime.' read more Netflix's 'Aap Jaisa Koi' star R. Madhavan on 'Dhurandhar' co-star Ranveer Singh and stood by him amid his flop films like Jayeshbhai Jordar and Cirkus. The actor said in an interview with Siddharth Kanan, 'I don't think Ranveer Singh has ever been written off. A couple of 'not so good' films doesn't end an actor's career.' Madhavan added, 'He's truly good and an extraordinary actor. But, it makes a good copy in the press and media to keep writing people off and bring them back.' STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD The actor continued, 'If you see the great actors in Hollywood like Tom Cruise and Tom Hanks, they don't do 50-60 films in their lifetime. They barely do 14-15 movies in their entire life. Even the biggest of stars, they also don't do beyond 15 films in their lifetime. That is the pace of doing good stories. Here we think that if we are not shooting for three months, it means we are losing our market. Both Ranveer and I don't come from that insecurity.' On the language debate Madhavan has commented on the on-going Hindi-Marathi language row and said this to IANS in an interview, 'I speak Tamil. I speak Hindi. And I have studied in Kolhapur also. I have learnt Marathi also. So, I have never had any problem because of language. Neither because of knowing it nor because of not knowing it.' In an exclusive interview with Firstpost, the actor spoke about how much he relates to his character and said, 'Touchwood, for what you have just said! I have seen that in my grandparents. They grew up in a very different society. Everybody's role was cut out and my grandmother was probably fourteen or fifteen when she got married. And my grandfather was probably 21 or 22. That was the norm then and they had babies.'

Kapil Sharma says Ravi Kishan touches wife's feet before going to bed, Ajay Devgn takes a dig at Navjot Singh Sidhu: ‘Inka ek rumaal politics mei hai, ek cricket mei…'
Ajay Devgn seems to be on fire on the latest episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show. The actor, who is famously known as the man of few words, seemed to be in a talkative mood on Kapil's show. He actively pulled the leg of the comedian, its permanent guest Navjot Singh Sidhu as well as actor-politician and his Son of Sardaar 2 co-star Ravi Kishan. On Thursday, Netflix dropped a teaser of their upcoming episode featuring actors Ajay Devgn, Vindu Dara Singh, Ravi Kishan, and Mrunal Thakur. It also gave a glimpse of Kapil Sharma, Navjot Singh Sidhu and the characters of Krushna Abhishek and Kiku Sharda. The teaser opened with Kapil Sharma reading out letters from Ajay Devgn's fans. He read: 'Gangaram Ji from Bhilai has written, 'Ajay sir, your Golmaal series is a comedic hit. Your Dhamaal series is a hit. You do comedy in your films. But why do you act so serious when you are on comedy shows?' To this, Ajay gave a witty reply. He said pointing towards Kapil, 'Please tell Gangaram Ji, I earn pay cheque for the films I do. When I show up here (Kapil's show), you are the one cashing in!' The actor then moved to Navjot Singh Sidhu and stated, 'Sidhu paaji ne ek rumaal cricket mein dali hai, ek rumaal politics mein aur yaha toh puri chadar hai (Sidhu paaji has secured his place in cricket, politics and has laid a full-blown bedsheet on this show!)' This left everybody in splits. ALSO READ | Ali Fazal says filmmaking is not corporate job, reacts to debate stirred by Deepika Padukone: 'Genre changes working style' Kapil Sharma then moved to his other guest Ravi Kishan. Talking about him, he said, 'I have heard that Ravi bhai touches his wife's feet before going to bed.' This prompted a reaction from Mrunal Thakur who went all 'Aww.' Even before, Ravi could reply to Kapil, Ajay Devgn intruded as he said, 'The guiltier a man is, the more he touches his wife's feet.' He further added, 'Neta ke haath mein mic nahi dena chahiye. Tune iske mooh mein laga diya hai. (They say never hand a mic to a politician, but you have put it right in his mouth.)' Listening to Ajay Devgn's statement, Ravi Kishan jumps out of his seat as he breaks into laughter. Ajay Devgn's next targets Kapil. He hilariously comments on the comedian's weight loss journey and says, 'Log weight lose karte hai. Tune itna kar liya hai ki tere naak pe bhi weight lose hogaya hai (Most people lose weight the usual way, but you have shed so much that even you nose looks lighter and sharper!)' This prompted Kapil to say, 'Ajay sir aaj front foot par khel rahe hai.' The newest episode will feature the cast of Son of Sardaar 2. It will stream this Saturday on Netflix at 8 PM.
