Police are probing the unexplained death in the capital.
A man found dead inside Edinburgh City Chambers has been named locally as Sean Stephens.
Emergency services were called to the building's customer support hub on the High Street at 9am on Monday, July 7.

The 38-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. Police Scotland say the death is currently being treated as 'unexplained' but not believed to be suspicious.

His death has left family and friends heartbroken.

Paying tribute to her husband, his wife Julie said: "Rest in peace Sean, I will forever love you."

Step-daughter Angel McMillan wrote: "Never get a step dad like you in a lifetime. Fly high big man."
Friend Alfie Muirhead added: "You will always be remembered, Sean, and your love will never be forgotten. RIP buddy."
Close friend Adele Ford, who described Sean as "the most loving gentle giant you'd ever meet" has launched a fundraiser to help support his grieving wife and family.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "At 9.20pm on Tuesday, 1 July, 2025 we received a report of concern for a 38-year-old man in the Edinburgh area who failed to make an pre-arranged appointment.

"Enquiries were carried out to trace him.
"At around 9.10am on Monday, 7 July, we received a report of an unresponsive person at a premises on High Street, Edinburgh.
'Emergency services attended and a man was pronounced dead at the scene.
'The death is being treated as unexplained but not believed to be suspicious and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.'

Emergency services were called to Dens Road in the city after the alarm was raised at around 3pm on Wednesday. A bus driver and passenger were left injured after the vehicle came off a road and crashed into trees in Dundee. Emergency services were called to Dens Road in the city after the alarm was raised at around 3pm on Wednesday. ‌ Ambulance crews attended and a 53-year-old man, the bus driver, was taken to Ninewells Hospital to be checked over. ‌ Police confirmed one passenger was also treated at the scene by medics. It's understood between 15 and 20 passengers were onboard at the time. Images taken from the scene showed the Xplore bus at a standstill after colliding with a tree. The area could be seen to be sealed off with a number of police vehicles in attendance. Xplore Dundee confirmed that one of its services was involved in the incident. ‌ The road was closed off for a number of hours and the circumstances surrounding the crash are 'still being assessed'. A spokesperson for Xplore Dundee said: 'We can confirm one of our buses was involved in an incident where the vehicle came off the road this afternoon. ‌ 'The details of the incident are still being assessed but we believe around 15 to 20 passengers were on board. It is believed one passenger reported a minor injury and who, along with the driver, is being looked after by medics.' A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Dens Road in Dundee has re-opened following a crash involving a bus reported to police around 3pm on Wednesday, 9 July, 2025. ‌ "Emergency services attended and a 53-year-old man, the bus driver, was taken to Ninewells Hospital to be checked over. Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision on the A75 near Creetown in the early hours of Wednesday morning. A man was taken to hospital following a serious crash which closed a Dumfries and Galloway road for more than 12 hours. The A75 was shut near Creetown for most of Wednesday following the accident, which happened in the early hours of the morning. ‌ A blue BYD Seal car and a white lorry were involved in the accident, with the car driven taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment. ‌ The lorry driver was taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary but was uninjured. The accident happened at around 2.15am, with the road not re-opening until around 4pm to allow police investigations to be carried out. Sergeant Colin Ramage said: 'I am appealing to anyone who was travelling on the A75 around 2.15am on Wednesday, July 9, and saw what happened to contact us. 'One patient was transported to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and another patient to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary.'
