Wales forward Pyrs makes Gloucester switch
English champions Gloucester-Hartpury have signed Wales forward Alaw Pyrs for the forthcoming Premiership Women's Rugby season.
The 19-year-old lock made her Wales debut last September and featured in this year's Six Nations.

Pyrs previously played for Gwalia Lightning in the Celtic Challenge as well as Hartpury University in the British universities championship.
"To be an international whilst still a teenager is a remarkable achievement, and shows the potential that Alaw clearly has," Gloucester's head of rugby Dan Murphy said.
"She's a physical player and has impressed with Wales, Hartpury and Gwalia Lightning, so we're delighted that she's put pen to paper here.
"She'll learn so much from the experienced forwards we have here and get better and better, and that's what really excites us."

Before Scotty Scheffler even teed it up for the first round of the British Open at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland, the former Texas Longhorns golfer was making news. In a 5-plus minute answer at his pre-tournament press conference, Scheffler opened up about the balance he's found in his life. While he strives to be the best in the world at his chosen profession, the things that fill his heart with joy are his family and inner circle. Part of that comes from his time at Texas. On Monday, Texas Longhorns Golf Coach John Fields announced Scheffler would be funding a renovation of the Longhorns' practice facility at UT Golf Club. The complex and driving range will be called "Scheff's Kitchen." Scheffler and Meredith have remained close to Coach Fields and his wife Pearl. Last year, during an alumni pro-am, Scheffler let Pearl wear his Olympic Gold Medal all day. Although the Coach knew his former player had another motive. 'That helped him because he knew everyone wanted to see that gold medal … and Pearl got to be an Olympian for the day. He just finds fun ways to enjoy that moment but not be too overwhelmed by it, and he's really good about it.' - Texas Men's Golf Coach John Fields Other Texas golfers have contributed to the Longhorns golf facility. Jordan Spieth helped design and fund the construction of a six-hole short course at the club called "Spieth Lower 40." And Texas alum, and US Open winner, Tom Kite, recently remastered the team's chipping area. Of course, Scheffler also was back on the UT Campus last year to serve as the guest picker for ESPN College Football GameDay. He also received his first major award on GameDay. Liverpool trio could be on the move this summer
Now three weeks later, Liverpool's pre-season preparation are underway at all levels. The club's first team has played against Preston North End, meanwhile the U21s recently featured in a friendly against Celtic's U21 side. In an 8-0 rout, there were plenty of players who caught the eye against Celtic, with Kaide Gordon and Owen Beck both scoring twice, the former also registered an assist and won a penalty. Bryan Mbeumo says he is excited to be following in Cristiano Ronaldo's footsteps at the "biggest club in the world" after signing for Manchester United. After weeks of drawn-out talks, the 25-year-old finally completed his move from Brentford on Monday for £65 million ($87 million) plus a potential £6 million in add-ons. The forward has signed a deal with the "club of my dreams" until 2030, with the option of a further season. "From the start I wanted to join this club, this massive club, and now I'm here and I'm just really happy," the Cameroon international told club media on Tuesday. "For me, it's the biggest club in the world, in England as well. I think the fans are crazy, the stadium is amazing, and I think every player wants to play here. "I think my first top was a Manchester United top with Ronaldo behind. It's just such a big club and I'm really happy to be here." Mbeumo is manager Ruben Amorim's third signing of the summer transfer window after the arrivals of forward Matheus Cunha and left-back Diego Leon. The right-winger, who scored 20 Premier League goals for Brentford last season, has been signed to boost United's firepower. The team managed a paltry 44 goals in 38 Premier League matches last season as they finished an embarrassing 15th in the table. Mbeumo played at Brentford under Thomas Frank, who has since moved on to Tottenham, and he believes Amorim has a similar approach. "I think they have similar values," he said. "He seems really close to his players and his mentality, his winning thinking every time. This is a thing that I need. "It seems to be a really good group. I think the spirit is really important for winning and with the gaffer I heard only good things about the team." United head to the United States for their pre-season tour on Tuesday.
