Full Celebrity Great British Bake Off lineup revealed

Independent06-03-2025
Kate Garraway, Roman Kemp, Amelia Dimoldenberg, and Maxine Peake are among the stars taking part in Celebrity Great British Bake Off this month.
Hosts Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding will welcome 20 famous faces into the tent for the Stand Up To Cancer special where the star-studded lineup will have their baking skills judged by Paul Hollywood and Caroline Waldegrave, who is stepping in to replace Prue Leith.
The celebrity lineup includes property presenter Sarah Beeny, Self Esteem singer Rebecca Lucy Taylor and comedian Adam Buxton.
TV presenter siblings Scarlette and Stuart Douglas will also be joining the group, alongside model Ellie Goldstein and Loose Women panellist Gloria Hunniford.
Celebrity couple Chris and Rosie Ramsey, known for their podcast and theatre tour Sh**ged, Married, Annoyed, will also go head-to-head in the new series.
More names joining presenter Garraway and Chicken Shop date host Dimoldenberg include Ghosts actor Jim Howick, Black Ops star Gbemisola Ikumelo and comedian Jamali Maddix
. Other names include actor Meera Syal, Irish comedian Tommy Tiernan, stand-up comedian Phil Wang, and Alma's Not Normal actor Sophie Willan.
Leith, 85, had been a part of the much-loved baking programme since its move from the BBC to Channel 4 in 2017, replacing the expert role formerly held by Mary Berry.
Her replacement, Waldegrave, is a close friend and co-owner of Leiths School of Food and Wine.
Leith made the decision to take a hiatus from the celebrity edition of the show after she found it difficult to keep up her busy schedule.
However, she was adamant that she was not quitting the show. She told This Morning last year: 'These things are filmed back-to-back all the way through summer from April to August so you don't get any time off,' she said. 'I'm getting quite old and there's places I want to see. So I'm not doing this year's.'
She shut down rumours she was quitting, saying: 'It's absolutely not true at all! What I'm not doing this year is the celebrity one.'
She later told MailOnline about the decision: 'I absolutely love working on Bake Off and am looking forward to filming the next series and meeting our new bakers.'
'I am only stepping back from the celebrity series, which is just a question of the filming commitment involved as we make these shows back to back.'

Patrick Kielty's new Cat Deeley fear has him in a 'very dark place'

Insiders close to Patrick Kielty have revealed his biggest fear following his split with Cat Deeley that could leave him in a 'very dark place'. Earlier this week, the two presenters announced their separation after more than a decade of marriage. Patrick, 54, who earns £215,000 a year as presenter of The Late Late Show, and Cat, 48, who hosts This Morning alongside Ben Shepard, gave a joint statement together. The couple said: 'We have taken the decision to end our marriage and are now separated. There is no other party involved. 'We will continue to be united as loving parents to our children and would therefore kindly ask for our family privacy to be respected. There will be no further comment.' Now, however, sources near to Patrick have revealed his fear that Cat could move back to the US, where the family previously lived, and she could taketheir children with her. A source told MailOnline: 'Everyone is worried about Paddy. The fear is that Cat will go back to America with the little ones. That will leave him in a very dark place.' Following the news that Lorraine and Loose Women's hours have been cut, the source went on to add: 'Cat's time on This Morning has not been a failure, but it has hardly been a roaring success. 'It is a job which puts her under so much scrutiny, day-in and day-out, and unlike most British presenters she has plenty more lucrative options to choose from in the States. 'There is concern that all of this family drama could lead her to walk away.' Cat and Patrick lived in Los Angeles for more than 14 years, where Cat presented So You Think You Can Dance, which she was reportedly paid £43,000 an episode. Earlier this year, it was revealed why Cat did not attend the funeral of Patrick's mother in County Down, Northern Ireland. The presenter said she wanted to be there for her sons Milo, nine, and James, seven, before and after they finished school as they grieved the loss of their grandmother. Her representative confirmed to MailOnline: 'Cat remained at home to be there for her two young children before and after school on this very sad day.' The TV stars met while presenting Fame Academy together on the BBC in 2003, at which time Cat was married to her ex-husband Mark Whelan. Their professional relationship quickly evolved into a personal one, and they got married in September 2012 at an intimate ceremony in Rome. More Trending They also welcomed their son Milo in January 2016 and James in June 2018. In 2023, Patrick took over from Ryan Tubridy as the host of The Late Late Show on Ireland's RTE One channel in 2023 Cat was then unveiled as the new host of This Morning, alongside Shepard, in February 2024. Loose Women's Saira Khan says she feels like she's 'losing the plot' in honest update

Saira Khan, 55, said that sometimes it all feels 'like it's too much' in a post to fans Saira Khan has shared the struggles that have left her feeling like a 'dishevelled mess' in a candid social media post. While the TV star said her hormones might be at play, she stressed that life often feels too 'overwhelming'. ‌ Posting to Instagram yesterday, the ex-Loose Women star said: "This rant is for any woman, a mother, who works or runs her own business, is going through hormonal change, and just feels like it's too much. It's overwhelming. ‌ "And people just don't understand the f***ing effort that you put into every day and people go, 'It's brain fog'. I'm not f***ng surprised it's brain fog because my brain is thinking about the dogs, the washing up, the cooking, the cleaning, the work that I've got to do. ‌ "And then I'm thinking about the next day and it's like, I'm not saying that it's just us women that do that, but it does feel like in my household, and in many households up and down this country, if you are a strong driven woman, they pile it on." Now 55, Saira said she's taking HRT to balance her hormones, but isn't having too much success thus far. She acknowledged this as an 'underlying irritation' but also said the people around her just aren't helping enough. ‌ She explained: "And then on top of that, we're going to a festival, they're all upstairs getting ready, the dog hasn't been fed, the dog hasn't been walked, the washing's still in, things haven't been put away. "The f***ing bins are overflowing. We are going away for four days, right? I don't want to come back to a f***ing s***hole. And then I'm running a business, which I love, it's my passion, but it's in a growth spurt. So, I'm like, I've got to also be thinking about that, trying to work at the same time." Worried she's 'losing the plot', Saira told her family to go to the festival without her so she could spend some time alone before joining them. She asked her fans if they had ever experienced something similar. ‌ "The biggest rant EVER of a middle-aged working mum," Saira added in the post's caption. "If anyone else feels the same way, please let me know because I feel like it is just me having these episodes where I just cannot cope with the reconsideration! I look like a state…. But that's what I'm driven to… a dishevelled mess!" ‌ Saira's post was quickly flooded with comments from fans, many of whom also empathised with the challenges women face in households. One person wrote: "OMG Saira you just described my life!! I feel your pain." Meanwhile, another added: "I feel exactly the same and I don't have as much on my plate as you." Someone else also added: "This has been me today! "Why are there three of us in this house, but I am the only one: washing, cleansing, arranging the meals, doing the shopping, worrying about school uniforms and play dates and holiday clubs and birthday presents and holidays and the dog and myself and the car and and and and AND!!"
