Every year, the world gifts us at least one extremely confusing and unexpected celebrity relationship (still recovering from Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet), and this year that honor goes to Katy "Space!!!!" Perry and former Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau. The burgeoning maybe-couple were pap'd having dinner, then they were spotted having another dinner, then a source came through with more intel than we were emotionally prepared for, and now we need a timeline to sort it all out.

Justin and his wife, Sophie, announce their separation after 18 years of marriage. "Hi everyone, Sophie and I would like to share the fact that after many meaningful and difficult conversations, we have made the decision to separate," Justin wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post. "As always, we remain a close family with deep love and respect for each other and for everything we have built and will continue to build."
