Charlotte Dawson 'gutted' as go-to bikini fails to fit on first post-baby trip

Daily Mirror09-07-2025
Charlotte Dawson, who recently gave birth to her third child, Gigi, in March this year, candidly revealed her struggles to fit in her old bikini and shares plans to get fit
Mum of three Charlotte Dawson has candidly confessed to a bikini 'fail' as her favourite holiday two-piece no longer fits after jetting off on her first child-free holiday since giving birth to her third baby.
The mum-of-three, 32, flew to Majorca with fiancé Matt Sarsfield over the weekend to celebrate his mum's 60th birthday but revealed she was 'gutted' when her go-to white and gold buckle bikini no longer fit her.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday night, Charlotte shared two snaps of herself in the two-piece - one taken before she was pregnant with her daughter Gigi, who was born in March, and one postpartum.

'When the bikini you packed doesn't fit!,' she told fans in the caption. 'Was totally gutted (literally!) to discover my fave holiday bikini doesn't fit anymore, hahaha but surely I should of knew."

'This one's always been a banker for me cos it (usually) covers ma belleh. But when you're post partrum from babay no 3 there's just a bit too much jelleh on the belleh!! But that's ok.'

Charlotte added: 'Like I said the other week I am literally the biggest I've ever been now. A whole stone heavier than I was after Noah & Jude. Nothing in my wardrobe fits me anymore.

'But I'm definitely getting back into my Belleh Blaster plan just gently on the exercise but starting by following the diet plan. Adding an extra 500 calories a day though because I'm still breastfeeding. (Before the trolls start.)

'I've done it before with my plan - not once but twice, so I know it works so please do join me on journey number 3.' However, Charlotte was flooded with supportive comments from fans and friends.
One wrote: "You look beautiful either way my lovely! But do what makes u feel good" another added: "I love you Charlotte. Your one of the realest girls ever xxx". And a third penned: "how open and honest you are and how your are embracing how clever a female body is to carry a baby. You are taking your time and not pushing your body hard to get rid of the baby weight and putting your children first. You are an inspiration to women across the world, you are beautiful an inspirational woman, wife and mummy".
Her candid post comes amid a turbulent few months for the reality star, after her fashion brand Dawsylicious was plunged into financial trouble earlier this year. In May it emerged the wholesale clothing and footwear company which she co-owns with Matt has gone into voluntary liquidation with debts of more than £73,000.

According to Companies House, the firm faces an £88,000 tax bill, with just £15,000 in assets to offset it. Dawsylicious, which launched in 2020, has also been issued three strike notices since last year, while its accounts and confirmation statement are overdue.
It's another test for Charlotte and Matt, who last year patched things up after Matt's sexting scandal broke before she was pregnant with Gigi.
Charlotte previously admitted 2024 had been a 'rollercoaster', revealing 'It was a lot last year and especially being pregnant dealing with all that was quite hard.'

'But everything's a lot better now, obviously we've sorted things out and we're really excited to grow our family.'
Matt also broke down in tears while addressing the scandal on her podcast The Naughty Corner, telling listeners he 'massively regrets' his actions and was 'heartbroken' by what he'd done.

Charlotte reflected 'It was quite a big thing for Matthew. He's the hardest guest I've ever had on the podcast because obviously he was very nervous, but we really want to make it work and be a family.'
'I think because it was so public, it helped a lot of couples as well going through the same thing.
'I think it was the best thing that we did, just speaking about everything - that's the best way to deal with things as well, isn't it? I saw a different side to him. He really broke down on it as well which obviously I didn't expect. It was brave for him to do that because he's not like that at all.'

England fans watch on nervously as Lionesses fall behind in final

Fans draped in England flags joined the Prince of Wales and his daughter Princess Charlotte in holding their heads in their hands as Mariona Caldentey put Spain 1-0 up in the final on Sunday. William and Charlotte were pictured in Switzerland for the Euros final as the royal family led the nation in wishing good luck to England's Lionesses. Shortly before kick-off, an image of the pair was posted on the Prince and Princess of Wales's X account with the caption 'let's go, Lionesses'. As Caldentey's header found the net in the 25th minute, William and Charlotte were pictured with their heads in their hands and crowds in fanzones across England fell silent as they watched proceedings. Before kick-off, supporters waved England flags and loudly sang the national anthem at Boxpark Croydon and star striker Michelle Agyemang's former team, Brandon Groves Community Club in Essex. Agyemang, 19, who had one England cap before the tournament, scored crucial equalisers in the Lionesses' quarter-final and semi-final comebacks. Ahead of the game, 11-year-old Violet Ingram, a left winger for Brandon Grove Emeralds, said: 'Seeing her (Agyemang) and the team just makes me feel like I can do anything I want to do.' The Prince of Wales, who is patron of the Football Association (FA), applauded the national anthem as he stood next to Charlotte in the stadium. In a show of support ahead of the final, the Band of the Grenadier Guards performed Three Lions on the Buckingham Palace forecourt, while the royal family's official X account posted: 'Wishing the very best of luck to the @Lionesses in the Women's Euro Final this evening.' Meanwhile, BBC Sport and ITV have secured the broadcasting rights for the Women's World Cup 2027, meaning the tournament will remain free-to-air for UK viewers. England's path to the final has been marked by late drama. They sealed their spot with a last-gasp extra-time win over Italy, following a penalty shootout victory against Sweden in the quarter-finals after nearly crashing out in extra time. The Lionesses will be looking for redemption against Spain, who edged them 1-0 in the 2023 Women's World Cup final. England boss Sarina Wiegman said the team is 'going to do everything we can to win it' and she would prefer to avoid a 'nerve-wracking' match.

Prince William and Kate Middleton 'eyeing up move to bigger Royal home'

The Prince and Princess of Wales have reportedly been looking for a new home just three years after moving to Adelaide Cottage. Prince William and Kate Middleton are reportedly on the hunt for a new, grander Royal residence, despite only moving to their current spot just three years ago. The couple moved to Adelaide Cottage in 2022, and while it's a comfortable abode within the grounds of Windsor Castle, it was never expected to be their permanent base, reports the Mirror. The four-bedroom property is relatively modest by Royal standards, and it's understood that they've been discreetly exploring other options, with insiders suggesting they have a preferred choice. Adelaide Cottage pales in comparison to the family's previous full-time residence - a lavish apartment in Kensington Palace - and they're seeking a larger home for their children, George, Charlotte and Louis. It seems that the top contender is Fort Belvedere, a magnificent gothic revival mansion located in Windsor Great Park. Sources told the Mail on Sunday that William and Kate might be considering the 18th Century estate. It was the favourite home of Edward VIII before he abdicated to marry Wallis Simpson. Edward renovated the property, adding a swimming pool, tennis court, and stables. It's a vast estate with a long driveway leading to the entrance and even boasts a moat. It's believed that William and Kate had previously considered the vacant Fort Belvedere before settling on Adelaide Cottage. At that time, they reportedly felt that Adelaide Cottage was more suitable as it was closer to Queen Elizabeth, and they also wanted to provide their children with a more grounded upbringing. However, the situation has evolved and the Grade II listed property could be the solution to their current itchy feet. The Mail source said: "They feel they have outgrown Adelaide Cottage and need somewhere more substantial. This is the perfect new home for them. It has a swimming pool and tennis court, and Charlotte loves playing tennis." Previously, it was suggested that the Wales family could expand their living space through an annex building by Adelaide Cottage, thus avoiding a move. Another insider told the Express: "Nobody knows that there is quite a spacious red-brick annex building that's not being used next door to Adelaide Cottage. It's currently inhabitable and needs extensive renovation works if it were to be used. "Discussions have been ongoing for a while about using the property as part of the overall cottage grounds, but it's just about finding the right time to kick the project off." The Wales family's impending move isn't the only upheaval in the Firm at the moment. Speculation about potential peace negotiations between Prince Harry and King Charles has intensified in recent days. It comes after reports that senior advisers to both Royals were seen at a London meeting. But a Royal commentator was unconvinced that healing the family divide is possible any more. A confidant of Princess Anne had suggested that Harry should have turned to his aunt during his difficult period. But former BBC Royal correspondent Jennie Bond reckons it's now too late for the Duke of Sussex to seek counsel from the Princess Royal or rely on her to repair the fractured bond between himself and his father. Ms Bond claimed Harry had been "extremely disloyal" to the Firm, which wouldn't be looked on well by Anne. She said: "To Anne, loyalty is paramount, and I suspect she feels that Harry has been extremely disloyal to his father, his brother and the monarchy. She might well find that hard to forgive."
