Shannon Sharpe's payout in sexual assault lawsuit with OnlyFans model was reportedly far less than $50 million
Shannon Sharpe, the NFL legend, had a pretty shocking start to the year as he found himself involved in a huge legal scandal with a 20 year old OnlyFans model. The NFL legend was sued for a whopping $50 million by the 20 year old woman as she accused him of sexually assaulting her multiple times in the last few years.
Now, it has been revealed how much Shannon Sharpe ended up paying the woman.
Shannon Sharpe did not pay $50 million to settle the lawsuit filed by the 20 year old OnlyFans model
As per AllHipHop, a source has revealed that Shannon Sharpe did not really have to pay $50 million to the woman.
Instead, the NFL legend paid a whopping $23 million to the 20 year old OnlyFans model.
However, neither Shannon Sharpe nor his attorneys have confirmed the payment, nor have they issued a statement about reaching a settlement with the woman.
Was Shannon Sharpe's intimacy with the 20 year old OnlyFans model 'consensual'?
The woman has kept her identity hidden and has accused Shannon Sharpe of sexually assaulting her multiple times. Apparently, the two had met at a gym in 2022.
The claims of sexual assault has been strongly denied by Shannon Sharpe as he continues to maintain that the intimacy was 'mutual'.
However, Shannon Sharpe has been heavily called out by his fans as many feel the age gap is a bit too much even if the intimacy was 'mutual'.
At this point, Shannon Sharpe's children are much younger than his accuser, a 20 year old woman.
According to People, Tony Buzbee, the lawyer of the 20-year-old woman, has issued a statement about the settlement, even though he has not spoken about the payment amount.
Tony Buzbee said, 'Both sides acknowledge a long-term consensual and tumultuous relationship…After protracted and respectful negotiations, I'm pleased to announce that we have reached a mutually agreed upon resolution.'
Tony Buzbee added, 'All matters have now been addressed satisfactorily, and the matter is closed. The lawsuit will thus be dismissed with prejudice.'
Shannon Sharpe continues to work on his podcasts and has not spoken about the settlement at all.

BFI polls on Aug 21; former Indian sports minister Anurag Thakur to contest
Anurag Thakur (PTI Photo) NEW DELHI: The Boxing Federation of India's (BFI) interim committee has announced elections for the sport's national federation on Aug 21 in Delhi-NCR. The process faces certain challenges. The officebearers' term ended on Feb 2 this year, and efforts to hold elections by March 28 were thwarted by BFI factions that contested a March 7 order issued by former president Ajay Singh in the Delhi and Himachal high courts. Since then, an interim panel headed by Singh, established under the direction of World Boxing (WB), has been managing the federation's daily operations. BFI's constituent members argue that the Singh-led committee lacks the authority to call for elections, as it merely oversees boxing affairs. Additionally, detractors claim that Singh's initiative to hold elections under the World Boxing constitution is unjustified. They assert that the BFI's amended constitution, aligned with the global body's rules and regulations, must first be ratified by the federation's Executive Committee (EC) or in a general house meeting before formal adoption. Last month, the sports ministry empowered the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) to investigate the delay in conducting elections and to 'suggest a clear roadmap for holding elections in a fair and timely manner'. Meanwhile, former sports minister Anurag Thakur , nominated by Himachal Pradesh Boxing as its representative in March but excluded from the previous electoral college, will contest the elections against Singh, sources confirmed. Thakur's name, along with that of north zone vicepresident Rajesh Bhandari, will be forwarded as Himachal Boxing's two representatives attending the AGM on Aug 21. 'Meet me outside later!': Who said what in Prasidh Krishna, Joe Root, KL Rahul and Kumar Dharmasena heated conversation
Prasidh Krishna has an exchange with England's Joe Root on Day 2 of the fifth Test between England and India. (Getty Images) It was a dramatic day of cricket - on and off the pitch - at The Oval on Friday. As India and England squared off with the series still on the line, 16 wickets fell on Day 2 and tension grew in both camps while umpires tried to find the line between banter and sledging. Prasidh Krishna , Joe Root , Akash Deep, Ben Duckett , KL Rahul in both camps and umpire Kumar Dharmasena were all involved in some amped up conversations at some point in the day. Prasidh Krishna press confefence: On sledging Joe Root, special chat with Mohammed Siraj and more Prasidh and veteran Root had a tense moment that required interventions from the umpires. The usually composed Root reacted animatedly and was clearly not amused with Prasidh's comments following a boundary in the 22st over. Later, without revealing what was said between the two, the India pacer said he relished the banter with 'good mate' and said riling up England's batting mainstay was part of the team's plans. 'Well, it was a very small thing. I think it was just a competitive edge amongst us that was coming out. Both of us are good mates off the field. It was just a little bit of a banter and both of us enjoyed it,' said Prasidh in the press conference. The Karnataka man also hinted that the lip service to Root was not entirely by accident. Umpire Kumar Dharmasena has a word with Prasidh Krishna after the India seamer clashed with England's Joe Root during Day Two of the 5th Test between England and India at The Oval. (Getty Images) 'That was also the plan. But I didn't really expect a couple of words that I said to get such a big reaction from him. But like I said, I love the guy that he is. He's a legend of the game. 'And for him to come out there, it's great when two people are out there wanting to do their best,' said Prasidh, who took a four-wicket haul alongside Mohammed Siraj to script India's impressive comeback after the onslaught of Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley in the first session. As it enfolded, KL Rahul indulged in some heated conversation with on-field umpire Kumar Dharmasena. With the former Sri Lankan bowler trying to step in between Prasidh and Root, KL Rahul questioned, "What do you want us to do? Stay quiet" to which Dharmasena replied "You will like any bowler come and walk to you." Rahul, in anger, asked, "Then what do you want us to do, just bat, bowl and go home?" It also appeared that the official asked KL Rahul to have this conversation off the field of play. The day also saw a smiling Akash Deep give a rather unusual send off to Duckett, wrapping his arm around the England opener, a move that he clearly did not enjoy. England batting coach Marcus Trescothick said there was no need for the Indian pacer to act like that. 'Many in my time would have just dropped the elbow on him or something quite different. I don't think I've ever seen a bowler do that after getting someone out. Obviously, you see them having many words; you've seen it in this series on both sides. It was just different for me; I was just laughing and joking about it. 'It is what it is. You put your head down and walk off, your job is done at that point. There is no need to walk him off in that fashion,' said Trescothick. Catch Rani Rampal's inspiring story on Game On, Episode 4. Watch Here!
