Tony Awards 2025 WORST dressed list: Katie Holmes and Cynthia Erivo hit red carpet in bizarre looks

Daily Mail08-06-2025
From over-the-top feathers and nearly naked looks to bright colors and clashing patterns, the 2025 Tony Awards has been filled with a slew of sartorial nightmares and fashion faux pas.
The event, which is being hosted by Wicked star Cynthia Erivo and is set to honor the biggest stars and shows on Broadway, will kick off at 8pm EST/5pm PST and will stream live on CBS and Paramount+ with Showtime.
Ahead of the ceremony, a slew of A-listers descended upon the red carpet at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
And while some wowed in glamorous dresses and stunning looks... others completely missed the mark with their ensembles.
That's right, many of Hollywood's most elite failed to impress with their bizarre outfit choices at the glittering soiree.
Katie Holmes DailyMail.com's worst dressed list as she hit the carpet in a boxy green top and an awkward pink skirt, seemingly channeling the movie Wicked with her color choice.
Wicked star Cynthia came in a close second with her enormous tan corset top, which contained an intricate floral pattern.
She paired the shirt - which was gigantic and fit awkwardly on her frame - with a floor-length silk skirt.
Death Becomes Her star Megan Hilty donned a gold frock that had bizarre feathers all over the sleeves and skirt.
Canadian TV personality Keltie Knight opted for a floor-length sparkly gown that had an enormous unicorn on it... and it just didn't work
Model Anna Alimani arrived at the event in a sheer, lacy number, which left her undergarments on full display
Hamilton actor Sydney James Harcourt walked the carpet in a dazzling, leopard print suit with a sheer patterned top underneath - and he had a little too much going on

Hamilton star Phillipa Soo's one-shouldered white frock ensured all eyes would be on her... but for the wrong reasons.
It contained a strange bow in the center of her chest area and a unflattering tiered skirt.

Hulk Hogan's estranged daughter Brooke slams WWE over tributes to her late father

Hulk Hogan 's estranged daughter Brooke has taken aim at the WWE following the wrestling legend's sudden death last week. Tributes to the WWE icon have flooded in over the past week following his death from cardiac arrest at the age of 71, with the wrestling organization honoring its former star before last Friday's SmackDown and Monday Night Raw. While Hogan's devastated son, Nick, 35, joined WWE stars for the emotional tribute ahead of Monday's event, Brooke, 37, has been noticeably absent from both ceremonies. However, while firing back at critics of her absence, the television personality claimed it was through no fault of her own. 'For those of you giving me c*** for not attending my Dad's tributes, @WWE did not extend an invite,' she wrote on her Instagram story Wednesday. Brooke's attack on the WWE comes just one day after she revealed that she 'had to step away to protect my heart' in the final two years of her father's life. Hulk welcomed Brooke as well as son Nick, 35, with ex-wife Linda - whom he was married to from 1983 to 2009. He later tied the knot with Jennifer McDaniel in 2010 until their divorce in 2021. Two years later, the WWE legend said 'I do' to Sky Daily and the pair were married up until his death on Thursday. Brooke and her father last spoke nearly two years ago in September 2023 only weeks before he married his third wife Sky. On that call, Brooke expressed love and concern for her father - telling him that he shouldn't be working so hard due to his declining health. Despite her pleas for him to enjoy more of his life, those requests fell on deaf ears. The pair didn't speak again.

Turning Point USA founder embraces upcoming South Park parody because conservatives ‘should be able to take a joke'

Charlie Kirk, a conservative pundit and the founder of Turning Point USA, has embraced South Park 's parody of him in the upcoming second of episode of the long-running show's 27th season. In a fresh teaser for the episode's release on August 6, South Park Studios aired a clip of iconic South Park character Eric Cartman having a heated spat with a classmate – a scene that bears a close resemblance to Kirk's takedown of a Cambridge student in May. 'You can just shut up, Bebe, because you hate America and you love abortion,' Cartman shouts at fellow student Bebe Stevens in the cartoon clip. Kirk, who is the founder of Turning Point USA – a conservative youth activist organization – has been on his 'American Comeback Tour' lobbying for President Trump across America's top universities since January. Speaking with Fox News, Kirk discussed the new South Park series: 'Honestly, my first reaction is that I kinda laughed.' The MAGA pundit said he had been a fan of the show 'his entire life,' and was a particularly big fan during his high school days. 'They're going to obviously make fun of me [...] but I think it's kind of funny and it kind of goes to show the cultural impact and the resonance that our movement has been able to achieve,' he added. Kirk said he couldn't believe the skit at first and thought it was 'an AI troll.' 'We as conservatives should be able to take a joke, we shouldn't take ourselves so seriously – that's something that the left has always done,' he said, calling it a 'great detriment to them and the movement.' Last week, the creators of South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, issued a sarcastic apology to Trump after he was left 'seething' over a cartoon that depicted him cosying up in bed with Satan. 'We're terribly sorry,' Parker said in a deadpan manner at the Comic-Con Comedy Central Animation panel on July 23. The White House issued a stark response to the episode, with spokesperson Taylor Rogers slamming the 'hypocrisy of the Left.' 'Just like the creators of South Park, the Left has no authentic or original content, which is why their popularity continues to hit record lows,' Rogers said. The animated comedy series kicked off its 27th season on July 23, just days after it signed $1.5 billion deal with Paramount. Despite its negative depiction of Trump, the satirical show has proved to be a hit with fans, even Kirk, who swapped his X profile picture with a screenshot of Cartman and told his 5 million followers, 'I'm so watching this.' In June, Kirk told a 14-year-old girl at his Young Women's Leadership Summit in Grapevine, Texas, that her main reason to attend college should be to find a husband. The high school freshman asked for his "pros and cons" on attending college, mentioning her aspiration for a career in political journalism. Kirk, who dropped out of community college in Chicago, encouraged her to go for an "MRS degree' – a slang term for someone who attends a university to find a spouse.

Sen. John Fetterman releases memoir 'Unfettered' this fall, looking at political and health battles

A long-rumored and 'unapologetic' memoir by Sen. John Fetterman will be released this fall, his publisher said. Crown, an imprint of Penguin Random House, announced on Wednesday that 'Unfettered' is scheduled for Nov. 11. In the memoir, the Democrat will open up about his rise from mayor of Braddock, Pennsylvania, to national fame. The book also delves into his physical and mental health issues, including his stroke in 2022, and his clashes with both Republicans and members of his own party. One of Washington 's most recognizable politicians, known for his hoodies and for his imposing height of 6 feet, 8 inches, Fetterman worked on the book with Buzz Bissinger of 'Friday Night Lights' fame. 'Fetterman reveals, for the first time, the full story of a life and career marked by battles, from his work with community leaders to revitalize Braddock to his recovery from the stroke that nearly ended his political career, to his lifelong struggles with the depression that landed him in Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and nearly ended his life,' Crown's statement reads in part. 'Raw and visceral, this memoir is an unapologetic account of his unconventional life, a reminder that public service comes in many forms, and a vision for fighting the battles that matter in a divided country.' ___
