A family affair: Jaan Se Zyada
Maahi's music video is a heartfelt ballad featuring both his parents, Shaan and Radhika Mukherjee. The song, penned by Rashmi Virag, blends nostalgia with romance, and Maahi's soulful vocals are already winning hearts.
In an interview with News18, Maahi said, 'This was a song I had been eagerly waiting to bring to the audience. Getting to work with my parents made it even more meaningful and closer to my heart.'
On legacy and expectations
Being the son of one of India's most celebrated singers comes with its own set of expectations.
Maahi admitted, 'Naturally, there is a little bit of pressure, but I think a little bit of pressure is necessary as well to push me that extra bit.' He emphasised that the pressure was never imposed by his parents. 'My dad always says, 'Focus on your own identity; I'll be here to help you along the way.' So, in that sense, I would say the pressure is a lot less,' he said.
The privilege of a musical upbringing
Maahi acknowledged the unique advantage of growing up in a home filled with music, expressing, 'Leaving aside all the commercial and networking aspects, just from the singing perspective—how easy it is for me. If I'm in a studio and unable to hit a certain note, he [Shaan] is just one call away.' He added that the biggest gift is having direct access to a mentor who has 'done this an incredible number of times.'

'I was born and brought up in a Bengali Brahmin family and I am very much aware of my cultural roots. I would like to recite the Hanuman Chalisa in front of everyone," Khushi said in the video. 'By doing this, I didn't want to prove anything to anyone. I know people will still say a lot of bad things about me and troll me. A video of the Bigg Boss star surfaced on social media in which he reacted to Khushi's viral clips and slammed her for seeking publicity by opting for revealing sartorial choices. Shiv mentioned that Khushi's family should scold her and even slap her, if needed. Prior to this, actress Falaq Naaz also weighed in on the matter, without naming Khushi directly. In a strongly worded Instagram video, Falaq referred to Khushi only as 'didi" and expressed her frustration with the government's double standards when it comes to public decency and civic penalties. Falaq also made an emotional appeal to the public to raise this question with the authorities. 'So, jitne log yaha pe baithe hue hai, help me out, tag authorities, and I want the answer now ke yeh sahi hai. Aur agar yeh sahi hai toh stray dogs ko khaana khilane pe koi aawaz naa uthaaye. Agar nang pane mein aawaz nahi uthrahi, toh bachcho ko khaane khilane mein aawaz naa uthana," she said. First Published:
