HAMZA IGAMANE may or may not get his big move to Lille this summer.
But either way he's not been happy at Rangers for several months now, according to one Ibrox insider.

Igamane has been the subject of intense speculation between Gers and the Ligue 1 side all summer long.
The most recent suggestion is that while there's been no formal approach from the French outfit, both they and Rangers are quite some distance apart in their valuation of the player.
It's believed Gers want upwards of £15million for the 22-year-old Morocco international but Lille are hovering closer to the £10m-£12m mark.
The Ibrox club only paid £1.7m for his services last summer and although he took a while to settle in and adapt to Scottish football, he was a rare bright spark in an otherwise poor year for the Light Blues last season.
He hit 16 goals in 46 games but notably dropped down the pecking order below Cyriel Dessers towards the end of the campaign - though he did manage a superb sub appearance against Celtic in the March derby that Rangers won.
Interim boss Barry Ferguson seemed to prefer Dessers due to his higher workrate, and indeed hinted as such during a number of interviews and press conferences.
Dessers is also linked with a move away, to AEK Athens, and like Igamane he hasn't featured in any of the pre-season outings under new boss Russell Martin.
But Rangers star-turned pundit Derek Ferguson - Barry's older brother - reckons Igamane's absence is far more of an indication of him wanting to leave.
And he thinks the striker has been unhappy ever since he was demoted to the bench on a regular basis.
In an interview with Ibrox News, Ferguson said: 'He hasn't played in a couple of the friendlies now, and that tells me he's probably wanting to avoid injury.
Rangers boss Russell Martin opens up on transfer plans as he delivers updates on Dessers and Igamane
'It gives the impression to me that he's not too happy at Rangers, to be honest with you, and you can perhaps take that back to the end of last season when he wasn't starting.
'He's not a happy bunny, and I get the feeling that the culture in Scotland plays a part in that.
'If he's offered the chance to leave, I just feel he'd jump at it right now.
'I think [Dessers and Igamane] could both go. You look at Dessers' stats and they're very good. Teams will look at that.
'At 30 years old, he still has a few years ahead of him. If Rangers can get £5million, they take it.'

Rangers vs Panathinaikos: Russell Martin kickstarts Ibrox revolution with huge Champions League qualifier

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) RUSSELL MARTIN has already introduced himself to Rangers fans at Ibrox when his new Gers team battled out a 2-2 draw with Club Brugge. But next week, the Rangers manager will be finally in the dugout for his first competitive game in charge - and it's going to be a big one! Sign up for the Rangers newsletter Sign up 3 Rangers kick off their season with a massive game at Ibrox Credit: Getty 3 It will be Russell Martin's first match in charge Credit: Willie Vass The Light Blues officially kick off their campaign on Tuesday with a blockbuster Champions League qualifier against Greek giants Panathinaikos. The two teams meet in the second round qualifier and the winner of this tie will face another two hurdles before they can officially join Europe's elite in Uefa's flagship competition. Martin and Panathinaikos boss Rui Vitoria have both named their squads for the two legs, with the return game in Athens pencilled in for the following Wednesday on July 30. Rangers were given arguably the toughest draw when it took place last month. The other two teams also in the opposite side of the draw were SK Brann of Norway and Switzerland's Servette. Panathinaikos failed to qualify for the Europa League last season after they were knocked out by Ajax in the third qualifying round. They did, however, see past French side Rennes in the Conference League play-off, though, to guarantee European football for the season - before Fiorentina won 5-4 on aggregate to end their campaign in the round of 16. Rangers will have to hit the ground running with Martin's new system if they are to get the better of the Greek giants over two legs. And it could be a new-look lineup for the first game at Ibrox too, with as many as SEVEN summer signings registered for the competition. SunSport has all the details ahead of the first leg in Glasgow. Rangers boss Russell Martin opens up on transfer plans as he delivers updates on Dessers and Igamane What time does Rangers vs Panathinaikos kick off? Rangers vs Panathinaikos takes place on Tuesday, July 22. The game kicks off at 7.45pm UK time. The first leg will be held at Ibrox. Is Rangers vs Panathinaikos on TV and can I live stream it? Premier Sports customers will be able to stream the game live via the Premier Sports app. BBC Sportsound will have radio commentary for the game. Alternatively, you can follow all the action right here via SunSport's LIVE blog. Team news Gers boss Martin will have all-but one of his new recruits ready and available for the Champions League showdown. Thelo Aasgaard is a major doubt for the first leg after he picked up a knock during the 4-1 friendly win against Dunfermline which was played behind closed doors. 3 Emmanuel Fernandez, Jedi Gassama, Joe Rothwell, Lyall Cameron, Max Aarons and Nasser Djiga are all available. Cyriel Dessers and Hamza Igamane have both been named in the squad despite being heavily linked with moves away from Ibrox. But Ben Davies, Ridvan Yilmaz, Robin Propper and Rabbi Matondo have all been left OUT. Panathinaikos could be without Elton Fikay after the left-back suffered a knock in the lead up to the fixture. The Greek side have made four signings this summer, with Pedro Chirivella, Georgios Kyriakopoulos, Ahmed Touba and Alban Lafont snapped up. All four players are available. Dundee United v Aberdeen postponed as Dons utilise new SPFL rule

Dundee United's Premiership match against Aberdeen has been postponed after the Pittodrie club exercised their right to move the game. A new SPFL rule, introduced to help Scottish clubs succeed in UEFA competitions, allows Premiership sides to request the postponement of one match ahead of any play-off round second leg games. Aberdeen's Scottish Cup triumph ensured they go straight into the play-off round of the Europa League and they have taken advantage of the new regulations to plan their preparations. Our match away to Dundee Utd on Saturday 23rd August has been postponed due to our involvement in the UEFA Europa League Play-off round. The reverse fixture at Pittodrie on Saturday 27th December has been selected for live coverage on Premier Sports, kick-off 5.45pm. — Aberdeen FC (@AberdeenFC) July 18, 2025 The postponement could also benefit United if Jim Goodwin's side are successful in progressing to the play-off round of the Conference League. The Tannadice side begin qualification against Una Strassen next Thursday. Two further fixtures could be postponed as the SPFL confirmed matches that have been selected for television coverage and revealed there could be changes to their schedule. Falkirk v Hibernian has been chosen by Premier Sports for live coverage on Saturday August 23 but Hibernian have already requested a postponement if they reach the play-off stages of the Europa League or Conference League. Sky Sports have selected St Mirren v Rangers for live broadcast in round three. The details of that fixture will be confirmed when it is clear what UEFA competition Rangers will be participating in at the time. Celtic will also be entitled to postpone their match against Livingston ahead of the Champions League play-off.
