Art Partner unveils the 2025 Earth Partner Prize
Young creatives between the ages of 14 and 30, from all backgrounds and identities, are encouraged to present original works that reflect on environmental and social challenges facing the planet. Entries are welcome across a broad spectrum of formats, including but not limited to visual storytelling, experimental or documentary film, live or recorded performance, poetry, sound and music, fashion innovation, digital tools, choreography, multimedia, and social media campaigns.
Applicants may interpret topics such as species extinction, environmental equity, disinformation by polluting industries, Indigenous knowledge systems, sustainable materials, ecosystem protection, plastic overconsumption, grassroots resistance, waste transformation, climate anxiety, economic structures, and ancestral ecological wisdom.
Eight winners will receive monetary awards of $10,000, $5,000, or $2,000. An additional twenty participants will earn special recognition from a distinguished international jury, to be revealed later this summer.
All selected finalists and honorable mentions will have their work presented in an online showcase hosted by artpartner.com and earthpartner.com, and promoted through Art Partner's social media channels. Moreover, their projects will be considered for inclusion in future editions of the Earth Partner Exhibition—an evolving physical show that has appeared at venues such as the United Nations Headquarters in New York, Fotografiska Shanghai during Shanghai Climate Week, and Photo London 2024, with a forthcoming presentation scheduled at Borgo Laudato Si' in Vatican City during the 2025 Jubilee.
Through the Earth Partner Prize, Art Partner seeks to involve young people in discussing environmental matters by offering a high-visibility platform for emerging talent—especially from underrepresented communities.

These Are Our Favorite Wristwatches Under $1,000
Few would have expected the Omega x Swatch Moonswatch to create such a furor both in and out of watch fandom when it was released in 2022, yet in just a few years, it has become one of the most desirable watches today due to its initial scarcity, dual brand recognition, and attractive price. Thankfully, it's much easier to buy a Moonswatch than when it was first released, including online, and the days of needing to pay scalpers for one through eBay are happily over. The Moonswatch takes its name and design from the classic Omega Speedmaster, also known as the Moonwatch, due to it being the first watch on the moon. Unlike the Omega Speedmaster, it's made of bioceramic (which feels a lot like plastic), doesn't have a sapphire crystal, has a quartz movement, is only water resistant to 30 meters, and most definitely hasn't been to the moon. None of this matters, though, as there's so much to like about the Moonswatch, from how it bridges the divide between normal people and watch fans, how it's practically guaranteed to stir up some kind of emotion, and that there's almost certainly a color scheme or design feature that will appeal. Just don't expect it to have the best build quality, or for it to feel anywhere near as expensive as its price suggests. Some also complain about the Velcro strap, but the branding looks great, and it's perfect to throw on your wrist when you're in a hurry. Once it's on, it's so light you barely know it's there. A rubber alternative strap is available if you do hate the Velcro, though. Even if you haven't heard of any other brands and watches on our list, I bet you have heard of the Omega x Swatch Moonswatch, but don't pass it off as just clever marketing. It's a Swatch at heart, and that makes it a fun and affordable gateway into watch ownership. Built in Germany and finished in the UK, the Tempest comes in a 40-mm case size with a choice of bright rubber straps, and I love the 12- and 24-hour markers on the dial, the date window, and the 300-meter water resistance rating. Perhaps best of all, Rotate North gives you the choice of movements. You can choose the Tempest with a Seiko NH35A automatic movement, which the company says it chose due to its 'exceptional durability, reliability, and impressive accuracy (-20 to +40 seconds per day) rating.' The movement will turn up more than once on this list for these very reasons. Alternatively, you can choose a Ronda 715LI quartz movement if you want the watch to always be ready to go, and to save a little on the purchase price, too. There, the President spoke of his "great love" for Scotland and said he wanted to see the nation "thrive". He was asked about Mr Swinney's plan for a second vote on the constitution. The First Minister said on Monday that the precedent set by the [[SNP]]'s 2011 election victory, when they won an unprecedented majority in Holyrood, would break the "logjam". He said there should be a "legal referendum recognised by all" on Scottish independence if the [[SNP]] manages the same feat at next year's [[Holyrood]] election. "We demonstrated how we break the logjam in the past, by electing a majority of SNP MSPs in 2011, and that led to an independence referendum in 2014," he told reporters. He invited supporters of independence to back his party in the constituency vote and to "demand independence" in the regional vote. Asked about the First Minister's proposal, the President said he did not want to "get involved" in Britain's domestic politics. "We got enough politics of our own," he added. He also claimed he had correctly predicted the result of the 2014 referendum, and suggested there should be a sizeable gap between votes. Emma Grede always wears things twice
At Emma Grede's first job as a fashion show producer, she was told to wear black so she wouldn't stand out. But even back then, she refused to fade into the background. 'I bought whatever I could afford from Balenciaga or Celine,' she says. 'I have always used my clothes as a tool (of self-expression).' Grede is one of the best-known entrepreneurs of our time. She's the business mastermind behind Skims, Good American and the newly launched sports fashion startup Off Season. But even in the glitzy world of fashion, she's become notable for her style. Grede believes that our clothes should be a way to channel our creativity and personality, particularly in the world of business. On a recent trip to London, her hometown, her team captured her outfits of the day, which included a white Jacquemus jacket and matching cargo pants set paired with pointed Balenciaga heels, and a blue striped Proenza Schouler top and skirt paired with strappy YSL heels. 'I dress entirely to please myself,' she says. 'Depending on the day, that could be for comfort, or convenience, or because I want to feel bad ass.' While Grede has always been stylish, she's spent much of her career behind the scenes. In 2008, she launched the talent management firm ITB Worldwide which was acquired a decade later. She then partnered with members of the Kardashian family to co-found Good American, Skims and Safely, letting her more famous co-founders be the face of the brand. But these days, she's becoming a personality in her own right, as a judge on Shark Tank and Dragon's Den. She's recently launched a podcast called Aspire with Emma Grede where she's interviewed everyone from Michelle Obama to Gwyneth Paltrow. As a mother of four with a demanding schedule, Grede doesn't have a lot of time to strategize about her outfits. And even though her looks vary, she developed a kind of formula to what she wears. She wears a lot of denim, including Vintage Levi's and Frame. She has a collection of white and striped Oxford shirts from Celine, YSY, and Comme Des Garcons, and she also loves a good heel. 'There is literally nothing in my closet that only gets worn once,' she says. 'There's something about the simplicity of not really choosing something new every day that's really freeing.' Describe your style in a sentence. That's so hard, I dress how I feel and I feel different all the time! What's the one piece in your closet you'll never get rid of? I have so many things but probably a pair of Gucci loafers I've had since I was 15. I bought them for myself, and it was such a big deal at the time. How long does it take you to get dressed in the morning? Five minutes. I pull outfits ahead of time. What do you wear to a big meeting? Something that has bought me luck in the past I'm very superstitious. What's the best piece of fashion advice you've ever gotten? To embrace my individuality and do what makes you feel good.
