Realme P3 Ultra in for review

GSM Arena6 days ago

We had a quick hands-on with the Realme P3 Ultra in March but it's now time for a review. Realme P3 Ultra
The phone has a standout design, no matter which color you go for. The Neptune Blue and Orion Red both feature vegan leather finishes, while this Glowing Lunar White is unique.
The moon's surface is etched under the smooth back panel, and it's infused with "glowing material", which lights up in the dark, just like the watch hands of your old childhood watch.
The Glowing Lunar model is impressive (the green effect is a bit overdone by our smartphone camera here)
Just hit the back with enough light force, and it will glow a light green in the dark. You can see it with your eyes just fine, but we've accentuated it in these photos for you.
The Realme P3 Ultra ships with a case, a USB-A to USB-C cable, and an 80W charger. The phone has been available in India and Malaysia and is now becoming available in Europe, with Latin America and Southeast Asia to follow.
You have a choice of 8/128GB, 8/256GB, and 12/256GB configurations.
The glowing effect is nice but it's something you'll stop caring about pretty soon after you purchase the Realme P3 Ultra. What will last longer is the thinness of the phone. At 7.4mm, it's noticeably svelte. The phone is also impressively light at 186g, given its 6.83-inch display size.
It's a big phone, but the thin profile and low weight make it feel nicely pocketable. The slender curve of both the front and rear panels is also pleasant, giving the phone a high-end look and feel.
The 10-bit screen leaves little to complain about. It's big, bright, and very punchy out of the box. It's also nicely specced with a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1,500 nits of peak brightness.
Realme UI 6.0 runs smoothly thanks to the display's refresh rate and the 4nm Dimensity 8350 Ultra.
Stay tuned for more.

The hot new Motorola Edge (2025) is getting more and more attractive at lower and lower prices

The only member of the popular Motorola Edge family released in the US this year is amazingly getting its second discount already in the space of just a couple of weeks. Best Buy is once again the nation's most generous retailer with bargain hunters who don't feel they need to purchase the latest Android flagships to be satisfied with their overall user experience. No, the Motorola Edge (2025) is nowhere near as powerful as the likes of Samsung's Galaxy S25, Google's Pixel 9, the OnePlus 13, or even the OnePlus 13R, packing a middling but not completely disappointing MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor in combination with a decent but far from mind-blowing 8GB RAM count. $100 off (18%) 5G, Unlocked, 256GB Storage, 8GB RAM, 6.7-Inch P-OLED Display with 2712 x 1220 Pixel Resolution and 120Hz Refresh Rate Technology, MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Processor, Android 15, 50 + 10 + 50MP Triple Rear-Facing Camera System, 50MP Front-Facing Camera, 5,200mAh Battery, 68W Wired and 15W Wireless Charging Support, IP68 and IP69 Water and Dust Resistance, Military-Grade Durability, Vegan Leather Finish, Pantone Deep Forest Color Buy at BestBuy Originally priced at $549.99 and recently marked down to $499.99, Motorola's undeniably eye-catching new 6.7-inch mid-ranger can now be had for as little as $449.99. The catch? There doesn't seem to be one. That's right, your new phone will come unlocked and free of any and all carrier restrictions, requiring no device trade-in, number port-in, or upfront activation on a specific network. While our comprehensive Motorola Edge (2025) review didn't exactly lavish this thing with praise for its system performance, screen quality, and camera functionality, it's hard not to look at that sleek vegan leather finish, thin 8mm profile, and stunningly robust construction with anything other than the deepest admiration... at the handset's newly reduced price. I simply cannot think of another Android phone available in the US today in the sub-$500 segment with IP68, IP69, and MIL-STD-810H certifications for protection against water immersion, dust contact, high-pressure water jets, and even the occasional drop on a hard surface. Oh, and did I mention that the impressively affordable Motorola Edge (2025) also packs a remarkably large 5,200mAh battery equipped with astoundingly fast 68W charging technology? Those numbers are higher than what the Galaxy S25 Ultra has going for it, mind you, and I probably don't need to tell you how much costlier Samsung's latest S Pen-wielding super-flagship is. Yep, another leak says iPhone 17 will get a bigger display

Once again, the base iPhone 17 is rumored to get a larger display than the iPhone 16 base model. This potential upgrade has been in the rumor mill for months now, but now, yet another rumor out of China corroborates it, so it's getting more and more likely. Reputable tipster Digital Chat Station is now sharing on the Chinese social media website Weibo that the base iPhone 17 model may feature a 6.3-inch display. This is up from the 6.1-inch display on the iPhone 16 . Digital Chat Station is a tipster and leaker with a good track record about Apple. Meanwhile, last month, Counterpoint Research VP Ross Young also said the iPhone 17 is likely to feature a 6.3-inch screen. Currently, here are the expected iPhone 17 series display sizes: The iPhone 16 series, for reference. | Image Credit – PhoneArena Meanwhile, there aren't any big upgrades, apart from the display, in the rumors about the base iPhone 17 . Reportedly, it will keep the same (or very similar) design to previous models, despite the fact that the rest of the series may feature a camera island redesign. Rumors indicate the iPhone 17 will keep the same A18 chip and 8GB of RAM. Reportedly, it may get a 120Hz display refresh rate (finally!) and a new 24MP front camera, which would also be notable upgrades over the 60Hz display refresh rate and 12MP front camera on the iPhone 16 . However, the main attraction would be the iPhone 17 Air , which would be a super-slim model, if rumors are to be believed, set to rival the Galaxy S25 Edge. The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max may also have a new design and some notable upgrades. The iPhone 17 will have to face the Galaxy S25 and the yet-unannounced Pixel 10 for the title of the best flagship, but 'vanilla' edition. I personally think that with the rumored bigger display, I'd be very inclined to get it: 6.3 inches seems like the perfect and balanced size - not too big, not too small, and the phone would be ideal for someone who doesn't necessarily use all the Pro-features on a daily basis. The stupendously affordable OnePlus 13R powerhouse is on sale at an amazing new discount

Probably the most impressive budget Android flagship available in the US right now is even more compelling than usual for an undoubtedly limited time. Normally priced at a very reasonable $599.99, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 -powered OnePlus 13R can be had for a measly $499.99 as part of its manufacturer's latest sitewide sales event without an obligatory device trade-in or any other special requirements. All you need to remember is to use the "JULY25" coupon code at checkout to instantly lower the handset's price sans jumping through any hoops whatsoever, and on top of your $100 discount, OnePlus will also throw in a complimentary Sandstone magnetic case for your new phone. $100 off (17%) 5G, Unlocked, 256GB Storage, 12GB RAM, 6.78-Inch AMOLED Display with 2780 x 1264 Pixel Resolution, 120Hz Refresh Rate Technology, and Up to 4500 Nits of Peak Brightness, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Processor, 50 + 50 + 8MP Triple Rear-Facing Camera System, 16MP Front-Facing Camera, 6,000mAh Battery, 80W Charging Support, Nebula Noir and Astral Trail Color Options, JULY25 Promo Code Required, Free Sandstone Magnetic Case Included Buy at OnePlus That's regularly worth $24.99, which is obviously not a lot of money, but it still helps make an awesome deal even more awesome, further enhancing an already unbeatable value proposition. As our in-depth OnePlus 13R review proves beyond the shadow of a doubt, this is a flagship killer like no other on the market today, packing an almost shockingly powerful chipset (for its price), as well as a more than respectable 12 gigs of RAM, and perhaps most remarkably, a massive 6,000mAh battery equipped with blazing fast 80W charging technology. The 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support and up to 4500 nits of brightness and the 50 + 50 + 8MP triple rear-facing camera system are both worthy of a significantly higher price point than $499.99, not to mention that the OnePlus 13R looks just as elegant and as premium as the costlier OnePlus 13 on the outside. Granted, the aforementioned Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is no longer the fastest processor one can find inside a high-end Android phone, but it sure beats the Tensor G4 powering the Google Pixel 9a mid-ranger and the Exynos 2400e under the Galaxy S24 FE's hood. Those are technically the OnePlus 13R 's direct rivals, mind you, but it's hard not to compare this thing with the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro or Samsung's Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus and it's even harder not to conclude that its value is simply superior right now.
