, has drawn an impressive list of brand partners, signalling the strong commercial appeal of India's first
global javelin competition
. The event will bring together some of the world's top athletes, led by
Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra
, for a showdown on Indian soil.
The event is being accelerated by
Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited
(BPCL), and will be supported by a wide range of high-profile sponsors. Visa has come on board as the Official Partner, while Audi India is the Official Mobility Partner. BODYARMOR Lyte ORS has signed on as the Hydration Partner, Duolingo English Test is the Learning Partner, and Snapchat is supporting the event as the Content Partner.
'The versatility and range of brands that have decided to come on board with the NC Classic is testament to the potential this competition has. These are the biggest names in world javelin, spearheaded by Neeraj, competing on Indian soil for the first time," Karan Yadav, Chief Commercial Officer at JSW Sports, said.
"The event has all the ingredients to be a blockbuster, and a regular fixture on the world athletics calendar. The response to partner with the event has been fantastic, and it only augurs well for the future of live sport planned to global standards, in India,' he added.
However, the total sponsorship value was not disclosed.

Indian diaspora sends home $135 billion, the highest remittances on record

Representational Image/Reuters India received $135.46 billion in remittances from its global diaspora in the fiscal year ending March 31, the highest on record, according to new data from the Reserve Bank of India. The amount marked a 14 per cent increase from the previous year, with remittances continuing to be a major driver of the country's current account flows. The RBI said the inflows, classified under 'private transfers,' accounted for more than 10 per cent of India's gross current account flows of $1 trillion in FY25. 'The strong growth in remittances has persisted despite weakness in crude oil prices,' said Gaura Sengupta, chief economist at IDFC First Bank. She attributed the increase to a higher share of skilled Indian workers migrating to developed markets, particularly the United States, United Kingdom and Singapore. RBI data show these three countries contributed 45 per cent of total remittances. The share from Gulf Cooperation Council countries has declined, partly due to lower oil prices, which typically influence remittance flows from the region. India remains one of the lowest-cost countries for sending $200 in remittances, according to RBI research. Software services and business services were the other major contributors to current account inflows in FY25, each bringing in over $100 billion. Together with remittances, these three sources accounted for more than 40 per cent of total current account receipts. A recent RBI staff report noted that remittance inflows consistently exceeded foreign direct investment, underlining their role as a stable source of external financing. In FY25, remittances amounted to 47 per cent of India's merchandise trade deficit of $287 billion. Remittances represent cross-border household income, typically from migrants sending money home. The International Monetary Fund classifies them under two categories in a country's balance of payments: compensation of employees under primary income, and personal transfers under secondary income. In India's case, personal transfers, largely comprising money sent by workers abroad for family maintenance and withdrawals from non-resident deposit accounts, make up the bulk of recorded remittances, according to an RBI paper published in March.

Reliance Infra, Coastal Mechanics tie up to tap India's defence MRO sector
Reliance Defence Limited, a company promoted by Reliance Infrastructure Limited, on Monday announced it has entered into a strategic agreement with US-based defence contractor Coastal Mechanics Inc (CMI), to target India's ₹20,000 crore maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), and upgrade defence market. In an exchange filing on Monday, the company said that the partnership will focus on lifecycle support for a range of platforms used by the Indian armed forces. These include Jaguar and MiG-29 fighter aircraft, Apache attack helicopters, L-70 air defence guns, among others. Reliance Defence and Coastal Mechanics plan to provide end-to-end MRO, upgrade, and lifecycle support solutions for these systems. "The segment represents a high-value, long-duration opportunity driven by the Indian military's strategic shift from asset replacement to lifecycle extension and performance-based logistics," the company said. Reliance Infra Q4 results Reliance Infrastructure posted a net profit of ₹4,387.08 crore in the fourth quarter of the financial year 2024–25 (Q4 FY25), marking a turn from a ₹220 crore loss in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. In Q4 FY25, the company's consolidated earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (Ebitda), after adjusting for an exceptional income of ₹514 crore, stood at ₹8,876 crore. This marks a sharp rise of approximately 681 per cent quarter-on-quarter compared to ₹1,136 crore in Q3 FY25. Shares of Reliance Infrastructure last traded at ₹412.85 apiece on the BSE at the close of the markets on Monday.
