Special camp for recording farmers' details commenced
During the special registration camp to be organised across the district for 15 days from Monday, the farmers will have to submit the details about their lands, area of the holding, Aadhaar number, mobile phone linked to the Aadhaar number, bank account number, crop cultivation etc. Officials from the Departments of Agriculture, Horticulture, Agricultural Marketing, Agro Business and ATMA (Agriculture Technology Management Agency) will record these information.
After recording the details, each farmer will be given an identity number so that these agriculturists can easily avail the benefits of Prime Minister's Kisan Scheme and other welfare schemes meant for them. Hence, the farmers of Tenkasi district should make use of these camps to submit all relevant information during the camp for getting their identity number.
The farmers may contact the nearby Agricultural Officers or Horticultural Officers for more information, District Collector A.K. Kamal Kishore said in a statement.

Woman turns to Reddit with a heartfelt plea to find her long-lost father; what happened next will melt your heart
In an emotional journey that struck a chord with thousands online, a 25-year-old woman turned to Reddit in the hopes of finding her father, who had been absent from her life since she was just two years old. What began as a desperate search soon turned into a story of hope, connection, and the sheer power of internet communities. In her original Reddit post, the woman explained that her father, originally from Kerala, had once worked for a travel agency in Bengaluru. 'He must be 45 to 50 years old now,' she wrote. 'My parents separated when I was just 2 years old, and I've never had the chance to know him.' She appealed to users for any leads, saying even the tiniest bit of information could make a difference. Reddit users didn't just respond–they rallied behind her. Thanks to an outpouring of help, the woman was eventually able to trace her father and even connect with his side of the family. 'I finally found my dad and my entire family,' she wrote in an update that quickly went viral. Though she discovered that some close relatives–like her grandparents and one uncle–had passed away, she did manage to speak to a surviving uncle and her father himself, with help from a friend who translated the conversation. The reunion was deeply emotional. 'My dad cried when he heard my voice,' she shared. She also learned that he had never remarried and had been living in Chennai, having not returned to Kerala in over four years. The heartfelt update drew thousands of reactions. While many celebrated the reunion, others weighed in with differing perspectives. One user encouraged her initial search, saying, 'If he is active, he will be having Aadhaar card… Track him from that address. Good luck. All of you, particularly your father, deserve a second chance.' Another took a more critical view: 'Sorry to say. If that father left you at 2 years old and burden on your mother to take care and never saw you again, he don't deserve to be a father. Take care of your mother!!' Still, most responses were supportive and hopeful. 'That's wonderful. We're all glad you were able to get in touch with your dad,' one user wrote. 'There's a lot of catching up for you both & so much to look forward to. Wishing you the very best in life.'
