'Janaki V vs State of Kerala' box office collections day 5: Suresh Gopi's film stays steady; mints Rs 4.16 Cr
Suresh Gopi
's return to the courtroom in 'Janaki V vs State of Kerala' continues to draw attention, with the film holding a steady line at the box office through its first five days.
As reported by the Sacnilk website, after a reasonably strong four-day start, the legal drama added another Rs 27 lakhs on Monday, taking its total India net to Rs 4.16 crore.
Slow but sure: The film's five-day journey
'JSK' opened on Thursday with Rs 1.1 crore, and while it didn't explode over the weekend, it managed to stay afloat — Rs 1 crore on Friday, followed by Rs 90 lakhs on Saturday and Rs 89 lakhs on Sunday. The Monday dip was natural, but the film still managed to pull in some footfall, especially in evening and night shows.
Janaki V vs State Of Kerala - Official Trailer
Interestingly, it's not just Kerala that's tuning in. Cities like Bengaluru and Chennai are showing decent numbers — Bengaluru, in fact, clocked in over 25% occupancy on Monday, far outpacing Kerala's metros like Kochi and Trivandrum.
That's a strong sign the film is finding traction among Malayali diaspora audiences too.
What's keeping audiences interested?
There's something compelling about seeing Suresh Gopi back in his element — suited up, standing tall in court, voice booming with conviction. He's supported by a solid cast including Shruthi Ramachandran, Anupama Parameswaran, and Divya Pillai, all of whom bring emotional depth to a film that doesn't rely on gimmicks. Also the title controversy boosted the film's traction.

The courtroom drama genre isn't always an easy sell, but Janaki V vs State of Kerala has leaned into its subject matter with sincerity. Meanwhile there are also mixed reports for the film.
Whether it sees a jump again by next weekend remains to be seen. But for now, it's holding its ground — and that, for a film of this kind, is no small win.

However, to everyone's surprise, the reports indicate that India's richest actress is Juhi Chawla. What Is Juhi Chawla's Net Worth? As per the list, Juhi Chawla's net worth is Rs. 4,600 crores, making her the richest actress in India and one of the wealthiest women in the world. How Did Juhi Chawla Become India's Richest Actress? During the 90s era, Juhi Chawla proved her mettle in Bollywood. Her performances were loved by the audience. Over her three-decade career, Juhi gave several superhit films, including Yes Boss, Jhankaar Beats, Salaam-E-Ishq, and others. In the 2000s, Juhi shifted her focus from acting to production and supporting roles. She also partnered with Shah Rukh Khan in film production, first through Dreams Unlimited and later with Red Chillies Entertainment. A major reason behind Juhi becoming India's richest actress is her investment in Red Chillies Entertainment and her co-ownership of the Knight Riders cricket franchise. Hari Hara Veera Mallu box office collection day 1: Pawan Kalyan film fails to beat Game Changer opening day haul
Hari Hara Veera Mallu box office collection day 1: Krish and Jyothi Krisna's Pawan Kalyan-starrer Hari Hara Veera Mallu hit screens on Thursday with paid premieres held on Wednesday evening. According to Sacnilk, the historical epic has collected ₹44.20 crore net in India on its opening day. Hari Hara Veera Mallu box office collection day 1: Pawan Kalyan and Bobby Deol play the leads in the film. Hari Hara Veera Mallu box office collection As per the trade website, HHVM brought in ₹12.7 crore net in India from its premiere and ₹31.5 crore on its opening day. This is one of Pawan's highest-grossing openings yet, as compared to his recent releases. For context, Bro made ₹30.5 crore net on day 1, while Bheemla Nayak made ₹37.15 crore. Vakeel Saab had brought in ₹40.10 crore net on its opening day. Compared to other big releases this year, HHVM did not manage to hold up to the record that was set by his nephew Ram Charan's film Game Changer. The film collected ₹51 crore on its opening day. Meanwhile, it fares better than Balakrishna's Daaku Maharaaj, which brought in ₹25.35 crore on day 1. Venkatesh's Sankranthiki Vasthunam, which holds the top spot as the highest-earning Telugu film of 2025, made ₹23 crore, while Dhanush's Kuberaa brought in ₹14.75 crore. About Hari Hara Veera Mallu Unlike his other films, Pawan took part in the promotions of HHVM, as it was in production for five long years due to COVID-19 and his political commitments. AM Rathnam produced the film with music by MM Keeravaani. Pawan plays an outlaw named Veera Mallu in the film, Nidhhi Agerwal plays a Devadasi named Panchami, and Bobby Deol plays Aurangzeb. HHVM was released to high expectations and lukewarm reviews. The film has been criticised for its shoddy storyline and VFX. It ends by setting up the story for a sequel. Hindustan Times' review of the film reads, 'HHVM had the potential to be a fun story about an outlaw who's street smart but can be hoodwinked given the right circumstances. It might also work as the story of a larger-than-life saviour who is looking out for the country's goodwill. Instead, what you get is a mishmash of both that gets tiring as the film progresses.'
