And unfortunately for Kathryn Oliver, that was the case.
She revealed that everybody on her street got on, apart from her next-door neighbour at the time.
Kathryn said her neighbour was a total nightmare to live with, tossing trash onto people's properties, making noise and shouting at people.
The mum told people in the comments some of the ridiculous things her neighbour had done.
"She said she was glad my dog died, tried to fight my 12-year-old daughter," she explained.
The mum also said her neighbour was constantly throwing things over to her garden, like cigarette butts and would blast music as late as 5am.
While the mum was stuck with a nightmare neighbour who made her life a misery, she didn't go down without a fight.
Instead, she came up with a clever and sneaky way to get revenge.
Like most of us, Kathryn had a swimming pool in the garden for warmer months.
And when it was time to empty it, she would make sure the water ran into her neighbour's garden to ruin their lawn.

US rock star drops out of huge band's gigs for the rest of the year to have surgery to stop ‘permanent damage'

He previously took a break in 2023 to protect his mental health OFF STAGE US rock star drops out of huge band's gigs for the rest of the year to have surgery to stop 'permanent damage' A US rock star has dropped out of his band's gigs for the rest of the year to undergo career-saving surgery. Fall Out Boy guitarist and founding member Joe Trohman, 40, revealed he is stepping back from touring in a bid to prevent permanent damage to his hand. 3 Fall Out Boy's Joe Trohman is stepping down from live gigs for the rest of the year Credit: Getty 3 The guitarist needs surgery on his hand Credit: Getty He wrote on Instagram, "After years of managing ongoing issues with my right hand, it's become clear that I need surgery to avoid permanent damage. 'Unfortunately, this means I'll have to take the rest of the year off from playing with the band. 'The silver lining is that I'm on track for a full recovery. The band will still be playing all scheduled shows. 'I'm looking forward to recovering so I can get back out there with the guys. Thanks so much for the love and support.' The band is playing in Calgary, Canada tonight and have festival dates in Japan and Brazil over the summer. Fans sent their well wishes, with one writing, "It's okay Joe, we love you and I hope everything goes well, take all the time you need." Another said, "I just fell to my knees in Walmart. Wishing you luck Joe." In 2023, Trohman took several months off the road to focus on his mental health. His guitar tech Ben Young stepped in on that occasion. Speaking at the time, Trohman said, "Neil Young once howled that it's better to burn out than to fade away. But I can tell you unequivocally that burning out is dreadful. Without divulging all the details, I must disclose that my mental health has rapidly deteriorated over the past several years. 'So, to avoid fading away and never returning, I will be taking a break from work which regrettably includes stepping away from Fall Out Boy for a spell. It pains me to make this decision, especially when we are releasing a new album that fills me with great pride (the sin I'm most proud of).' Listen to Fall Out Boy's single Sugar, We're Goin Down The guitarist spoke of his "severe" mental health issues in his 2022 memoir, None of This Rocks. Trohman has been in and out of therapy since the age of 10 and said he often sees things "through dark-tinted lenses a little bit". Fall Out Boy achieved underground success in 2003 after they released their debut album, Take This to Your Grave. They skyrocketed to worldwide fame in 2005 after the release of the album From Under the Cork Tree, with its lead single Sugar We're Goin' Down reaching number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. In 2006, the band was nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards. A year later, their third album, Infinity On High, topped the Billboard 200. The band went on an indefinite hiatus in 2009, citing exhaustion as the key reason. "We were being pushed too hard, we were working too often, and I think we had no grounding. There was no, 'This is where I live, this is my family, this is my house, here's where I get mental health assistance, I take my medication this many times a day,'" Trohman shared in an interview with Kerrang. "None of that stuff was happening, it was all just go go go, different places, different things, if you have to succeed you've gotta do this. "And it got to a point where — I can only speak for myself here — but I thought, 'I think we've succeeded… can we stop for a minute? I need to go to my house.'" They reunited in 2013 with the release of the album Save Rock and Roll.

Wimbledon diary: Sir Ian McKellen takes in the tennis and fans pack Henman Hill

Gandalf witnessed some Centre Court wizardry on day nine of Wimbledon. Actor Sir Ian McKellen, who starred as The Lord of the Rings character, watched Aryna Sabalenka battle back to reach the women's semi-finals before taking in Cameron Norrie's quarter-final defeat to defending men's champion Carlos Alcaraz. The 86-year-old was joined in the Royal Box by fellow thespians Sir Mark Rylance, Sienna Miller, Jodie Foster and Richard E. Grant, singer Katherine Jenkins and coffee magnate Giuseppe Lavazza. Former cricketer David Gower was among those representing the world of sport, while Scotland and Napoli midfielder Scott McTominay and Arsenal duo Bukayo Saka and Jurrien Timber enjoyed the action from less exclusive seats. *** American 13th seed Amanda Anisimova celebrated progression to the semi-finals with a special guest. The 23-year-old was accompanied by nephew Jaxon for her post-match interview on Court One following a 6-1 7-6 (9) win over Russia's Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova. Jaxon, who turns four on Thursday, only arrived in the UK on Tuesday morning. An early birthday present for Amanda's nephew, Jackson #Wimbledon — Wimbledon (@Wimbledon) July 8, 2025 After ensuring his long trip was worthwhile, Anisimova said: 'My sister and her husband are also here and I'm super grateful that they flew in and got to experience this with me – it doesn't happen often.' *** The tension on Centre Court during Sabalenka's match against Laura Siegemund was broken when a mobile phone began to ring. The usual accompanying tuts and moans from other spectators grew louder when it became apparent no one could turn off the annoying ring tone. One unfortunate spectator was rifling through her bag trying to find the offending item. But it turned out to have been left behind by someone else and they were trying to locate it remotely. The phone was eventually found under a seat and handed to a member of security. *** Henman Hill was rammed late on Tuesday afternoon. Fans were glued to the big screen, with the majority cheering on British number three Norrie in his efforts to pull of a major upset against world number two Alcaraz. Barely a spare blade of grass was available as other spectators queued to join them. Quote of the day 'I'm more for line umpires, to be honest. Sometimes it's scary to let machines do what they want, you know (smiling)?' – Russian 17th seed Karen Khachanov joined the growing list of players to question Wimbledon's electronic line calling system following a malfunction during his quarter-final loss to Taylor Fritz. Picture of the day Wednesday's match of the day Teenage Russian Mirra Andreeva has been one of the standout performers in the women's draw. The 18-year-old, who is coached by 1994 Wimbledon champion Conchita Martinez, is bidding to reach a second grand slam semi-final and has been given another Centre Court slot after shining in front of Roger Federer on Monday during her fourth-round defeat of Emma Navarro. Standing in her way is 2021 Olympic champion Belinda Bencic. The 28-year-old Swiss player is also enjoying her best run at SW19, having missed last year's tournament after giving birth to daughter Bella in April 2024. Wednesday weather watch

Slow Horses renewed for seventh season

The Apple TV+ spy drama will return with a six-episode season, starring Sir Gary Oldman as British intelligence officer Jackson Lamb. The show is based on British writer Mick Herron's Slough House book series, which follows a dysfunctional team of intelligence agents who ended up in an MI5 'dumping ground' department at Slough House after they made career-ending mistakes. The news comes after season six was announced last year and ahead of the release of season five, which is due to come out in September. The seventh season will be adapted from the novel Best Actors, which follows Lamb and his team as they seek to neutralise a mole at the heart of the British Government before they can bring down the state. The seventh season will be produced by Ben Vanstone with Robert McKillop, best known for Ludwig, as director. The show premiered in 2022 with Sir Gary starring alongside Jack Lowden as agent River Cartwright and Dame Kristin Scott Thomas as Diana Taverner. The Two Popes star Sir Jonathan Pryce also appeared in the series as recurring character, retired British senior intelligence official David Cartwright. The award-winning series won a Bafta in 2024 for Outstanding Writing For A Drama Series while Sir Gary was recognised with Golden Globe, Emmy and Bafta nominations for his portrayal of Lamb. Sir Gary was recently knighted in the King's Birthday Honours for services to drama. The London-born Oscar-winner is known for his versatile acting style having portrayed a range of figures, from former prime minister Sir Winston Churchill to Sex Pistols member Sid Vicious.
