Rochester Renaissance Festivus returns for sixth year
The festival was held from 12 p.m. through 5 p.m. at Three Heads Brewing in Rochester.
The event is held annually to raise awareness and provide donations for the Mended Little Hearts of Greater Rochester through activities and character fun. The nonprofit offers support and programming for individuals and their families impacted by heart conditions.
Senator Brouk to host 4th annual baby shower for new parents
The event included The Sun and Snail Puppet Show, Tarot and Oracle Readings, a costume contest, portraits, axe throwing, The Guild of Rochester, performances by the Rochester Academy of Irish Dance, Merry Mischief, Jamison the Bagpiper, and other Renaissance-themed features. Attendees could also take home souvenirs and crafts from various vendors, including Rochester Renaissance merchandise offered for the first time.
In addition to the festivities, food such as smoked turkey legs from Big Boys Eatery and businesses including Bewitched Coffee Co., Countertop Creamery, and Reservoir Dogz were available for festivalgoers.

Jay-Z has made several surprise appearances to perform the song with his wife throughout the Cowboy Carter tour. And as if that wasn't enough star power, country star Shaboozey made a surprise appearance to perform his verse in 'Sweet Honey Buckiin,'' a track they collaborated on for Beyoncé's Grammy Award-winning 'Cowboy Carter' album. The Cowboy Carter tour kicked off in April, bringing Beyoncé all over the country and abroad. At the very end of the show, Beyoncé's 13-year-old daughter Blue Ivy, who has been a featured backup dancer throughout the tour, joined her on stage to say goodbye to the audience one last time.

Destiny's Child reunites for surprise performance during Beyoncé's final show in Las Vegas
Destiny's Child is finally back! The '90s girl group reunited onstage for a surprise performance during Beyoncé Knowles-Carter's final "Cowboy Carter" concert in Las Vegas. The Grammy-winning singer kicked off her final concert at Allegiant Stadium in Vegas on July 26. The concert marked her last of two back-to-back shows at the stadium on her Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin' Circuit Tour. It also served as the last of her 32 stadium concerts across the U.S. and Europe. During the concert, fans were stunned when Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams joined the stage. The three women, formerly known as Destiny's Child, performed some of their beloved throwback hits, including their 2001 anthem "Bootylicious' and their 2005 hit 'Lose My Breath.' Rowland and Williams even helped Beyoncé with her 'Renaissance'-favorite 'Mute Challenge,' and the moment felt especially special when they sang the lyrics, 'just me and my crew--big energy!'
