Shefali Jariwala, who rose to fame with her debut music video Kaanta Laga and later won hearts with her stint in Boss 13, passed away on June 27. Her unexpected demise has left her family and loved ones devastated.
The actress, who was married to Parag Tyagi, always expressed a strong desire to adopt a baby girl.
In one of the throwback interviews with Times of India TV, Shefali had opened up about her wish to adopt a baby girl and shared how husband Parag supported her decision.
Shefali had told Times of India TV in 2020, "I had spoken about adopting a child with Hindustani Bhau during our time in the Bigg Boss 13 house. What really inspired me was Sunny Leone's decision to adopt a baby girl, it touched me deeply.
I've always wanted to adopt a daughter, and after marrying Parag, when we started talking about having a family, I told him about my wish. He's incredibly supportive and said, 'You have to become a mother — whether you give birth or adopt, the choice is yours, and I'll stand by it.
'"
She further added, "There are so many children out there who need a loving home, and I believe I'm in a position to offer a child a secure, happy life.

I want to give that child a safe environment, a good education, and a beautiful life — because God has already blessed me with so much. I feel it's only right to share those blessings."
Shefali had also opened up about the lengthy and challenging adoption process, "That said, adoption in our country isn't easy. The process is long, with a lot of paperwork and waiting involved. We're in the middle of it right now, and I truly hope, with God's grace and everyone's good wishes, that my dream will come true. I'll become a mother and bring home a beautiful little girl.'
