Alum Chine in Bournemouth, Dorset, makes the rating. The beach is praised for its Blue Flag Certification and watersports activities.
Meanwhile, Porthcurno Beach, in Cornwall, is also in the ranking.
The Big 7 team said: "Sheltered by high granite rocks, the beach essentially possesses its own microclimate, making it a nice place to sunbathe and relax even if it's windy above the clifftops.
"There is also a stream that runs down to the beach, which is excellent for young children to paddle in, and the golden sands and tempting surf make it the perfect place to sunbathe or go swimming."

Whitesands Beach in Wales is on the list and is described as a popular but quiet beach which is a favourite among both locals and tourists.
And in the Republic of Ireland, Keem Beach, in County Mayo, is praised for its calm waters that are full of rich and diverse marine life.
Coming right at the top if the global list is Whitehaven Beach in Australia.
The Big 7 experts said: "Part of the Whitsunday Islands, just off the coast of Queensland, Whitehaven Beach is arguably the most beautiful beach in the world.

"Glistening white sands (which are 98 per cent pure silica, giving them their bright white colour) and warm turquoise waters make this a hugely popular place for tourists and locals to visit.
"Part of the Whitsunday Islands National Park, the beach is known for its eco-friendly measures. The beach is 7km long, and the beautiful waters of the Coral Sea are perfect for swimming and snorkelling in.

10 breathtaking Scottish walks to feed your sense of adventure

From fathomless lochs and wild coastlines to historic woodlands and the mighty Munros, Scotland has it all when it comes to awe-inspiring landscapes. And what better way to see them than by tackling one or more of these spectacular and invigorating walks? It's also a great way to mark the 25th anniversary of the National Trust for Scotland's annual Footpath Fund appeal. It's thanks to the charity's work that much of this epic landscape can be explored and enjoyed throughout the year. Research carried out for the Trust offers a timely reminder of just how important these natural wonders are, with 97% of Scots saying that getting outside is essential for their mental health. Almost the same number said that spending time outdoors was effective at reducing their stress levels.* It's why the National Trust for Scotland works so hard to maintain the 76,000 hectares of countryside, 300 miles of footpaths, and eight national nature reserves under its care. And to shine a light on the amazing work done by its footpath team, the charity is highlighting a selection of magical walks that showcase the very best of Scotland's natural beauty. For those seeking a bit of adventure, here are 10 recommended spots. And if you're inspired by the idea of some 'Munro-bagging' – conquering the peaks that rise above 3,000ft – we've included some breathtaking summits for you to tick off your list. Beinn Alligin, Torridon The mountains of Torridon contain some of the most spectacular scenery in Scotland, and five of the Trust's 46 Munros are located within the West Coast estate. Beinn Fhada, Kintail Climbing Beinn Fhada is a rewarding journey, offering incredible views of the northwest Highlands. On a clear day, you can even see across to the Isle of Skye. The 18km trail begins at Morvich, taking hikers through a picturesque glen and up to the Bealach an Sgairne mountain pass. Meall Corranaich, Ben Lawers National Nature Reserve Meall Corranaich is one of seven peaks in this Central Highlands nature reserve, all of which offer superb views over Loch Tay. It's covered in rich Arctic-alpine flora and is home to a diverse array of wildlife, including red deer, ravens, skylarks and black grouse. You'll also spot plenty of wildlife on the 13km return trip, including ptarmigan and ravens, skylarks and even pine martens. Click here to start planning your walk Goatfell Towering above Brodick Castle, Goatfell rises 2,866ft, making it the tallest peak on the Isle of Arran. Reaching the peak takes between two and five hours, so lace up your best walking boots and pack plenty of supplies. Click here to start planning your walk Loch Skeen, Grey Mare's Tail Grey Mare's Tail is a stunning 60m-high waterfall that plunges into Dumfriesshire's Moffat Valley. Everything we know about Donald Trump's Scotland visit this week

Everything we know about Donald Trump's visit to Scotland this week has been detailed. Donald Trump is set to arrive in Scotland this Friday for a four-day "private" trip before his official state visit in September. ‌ The US President's arrival will be his first visit back to the UK since he won the 2024 Presidential Election. ‌ On his trip, he is set to meet with Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and First Minister John Swinney, as well as making his way to his golf resorts at Turnberry in Ayrshire and Menie in Aberdeenshire, reports the BBC. ‌ Here is everything we know about his trip thus far: What is the reason for Trump's visit to Scotland? Trump's main reason for coming to Scotland is golf and to visit his two courses - Trump International at Menie, which he opened in 2012, and Trump Turnberry, which he purchased two years later. His last visit to the courses was in 2023, although he has been a frequent visitor over the years. ‌ Trump has often spoke about his love for Scotland due to his mother, Mary Anne MacLeod Trump, being from just outside Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis. When is President Trump coming to Scotland? The president is expected to arrive on Friday and travel back to the US on Tuesday July 29. ‌ Although his schedule has not been made public, he is expected to spend most of his time at Turnberry and Menie. His formal state visit will take place from September 17 to 19 and will be a more formal affair where he and First Lady Melania Trump will stay at Windsor Castle as the guests of the King and Queen. ‌ Who will be meeting with President Trump in Scotland? The US President will meet with the Prime Minister in Aberdeen on Monday, according to his White House press secretary, to "refine the great trade deal that was brokered between the United States and the United Kingdom". However, Downing Street is yet to confirm the meeting's details, including where it will take place. First Minister John Swinney said he decided to meet Trump on his visit to "promote the interests of Scotland" and to discuss things such as the war in Ukraine, the Middle East, and the imposition of tariffs on products such as Scotch whisky. ‌ What will security be like? The presidential motorcade is transported ahead of the visit by United States Air Force transport aircraft. This includes two identical limousines and more than 20 other security and communications vehicles. Trump will travel in Cadillac One - an armoured, high-powered enhanced limousine known as "The Beast" - alongside an enhanced police presence. ‌ Over 6,300 UK police officers were deployed at a cost to London's Metropolitan Police of £3.4m during his last state visit in June 2019. A previous four-day working visit in 2018 cost more than £14.2m. The Scottish Police Federation (SPF) has raised concerns about what the Trump visit will mean for its members against a backdrop of police complaints about spending on the force. ‌ Police Scotland confirmed it was preparing for a presidential visit earlier this month and the Scottish government said it had been working with the national force to put plans in place, with thousands of officers likely to be deployed as part of the security operation. Will there be protests? Thousands protested in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen during his last presidential visit in 2018 and he was booed during an afternoon round of golf by demonstrators along the perimeter at Turnberry. ‌ A paraglider also flew over the hotel with a banner criticising the president. Earlier this year, his Turnberry golf course was vandalised with pro-Palestine messages. More protests are expected this time around. Police Scotland have said they have the resources to deal with whatever the visit brings. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community!
