Mumbai : Priyanka Chopra said she was "shook" after learning about the sudden death of actress and reality TV star Shefali Jariwala.
Like many others in the film and television industry, Priyanka paid tribute to Shefali on social media. Taking to her Instagram Stories, Priyanka shared a photo of Shefali with the message that read, "So shook. She was too young. Sending condolences to Parag and the family."

Earlier in the day, Varun Dhawan, called out the paparazzi for documenting the grief of family and friends following the tragic death of the 'Kaanta Laga' fame actress.
Varun shared a message on his Instagram Stories, asking for "sensitivity" and "respect" from the media while covering the death of a celebrity.
"Again, one more passing of a soul being insensitively covered by the media. I just don't understand why do u have to cover someone's grief everyone looks so uncomfortable with this, how is this benefitting anyone?. My request to my friends in the media this isn't the way someone would want their final journey covered," read his Instagram post.
Shefali Jariwala passed away late Friday night. Her husband rushed her to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Mumbai; however, doctors declared her brought dead. Early reports suggested a cardiac arrest, but the exact cause of death is still not confirmed.
Shefali also featured in the 2004 film 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi', alongside Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar. Additionally, she gained recognition on television with appearances in popular reality shows, including Bigg Boss 13 (2019) and Nach Baliye (seasons 5 and 7), where she participated alongside her husband, actor Parag Tyagi.

To this, Shefali responded, 'Sun na today all places will be dead. Shall we go on Friday?" Vishal nodded, saying, 'Yes, you are right," and they locked the plan for Friday, June 27, at 10 pm. The actor entered the Salman Khan-hosted show as a wildcard, and the duo soon developed a close bond of friendship with each other. Following the death of actor-model Shefali Jariwala on June 27, the Mumbai Police carried out a search at her apartment in Andheri and found anti-ageing medicine, skin glow tablets, and vitamin supplements. As part of probe, authorities are investigating the factors that may have contributed to the 42-year-old actor's death. According to Hindustan Times, police had found two boxes of these beauty and self-care supplements while documenting the investigation at her residence. However, Shefali's family stated that she was not taking the tablets under a doctor's supervision, but they did not adversely affect her health. Shefali Jariwala's Untimely Demise According to Mumbai police sources, Shefali had fainted due to low blood pressure after which she was taken to hospital by her parents, husband and house help. Police sources have confirmed that she was self-medicating herself for last several years. Officials found two boxes of medicines at her house during the search. It has come to light that the actor had consumed stale food before consuming anti-aging medicines. Thereafter, her health deteriorated. Jariwala passed away on Friday at her apartment. In his statement, Parag said the relationship between him and Shefali was good and both of them respected each other. Parag, who is still finding it difficult to come to terms with her death claimed Shefali was physically fit, adding that the 42-year-old used to self-medicate herself. Parag also told police that in the month of May, both of them went to Australia for a stage show. While the exact reason behind Shefali's death will be determined after the post-mortem report is released, the Mumbai Police ruled out foul play. Meanwhile, an Accidental Death Report (ADR) has been filed. Shefali was cremated at Oshiwara Crematorium on Saturday evening, a day after her death. While her postmortem report is yet to be released, it has been learnt that the 'Kaanta Laga' fame actor was also self-medicating, and was consuming anti-ageing medicines for some years, sources have confirmed. As the investigations into her death were underway, cops found two boxes of medicines at her Mumbai residence. They also learnt that on the day of her death, Shefali Jariwala had consumed stale food, and later took her anti-ageing medicines. Doctors at Mumbai's Cooper Hospital, where Shefali Jariwala's postmortem was conducted, suspect that the actor may have suffered a cardiac arrest due to self-medication, subsequently leading to her death. They also said they were waiting for the actor's viscera and blood reports to confirm the outcome of the postmortem. Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police recorded Parag Tyagi's statement in the case. He said that his relationship with his wife, Shefali Jariwala, was good and that both of them respected each other. He also said it was difficult for him to come to terms with Shefali's death. Parag told the police that Shefali was physically fit but used self-medication. He also told the police that they both had travelled to Australia in May this year for a stage show. Shefali Jariwala, who shot to fame with her breakout appearance in the remix track 'Kaanta Laga' and also appeared on several reality shows, died at the age of 42 on the night of June 27. As the cause of death is not yet clear, the Mumbai Police registered an accidental death report (ADR) in the case.
