Naked man attacks driver outside Aldi supermarket as horrified children watch on
The incident, which occurred in Middleton near Manchester on Sunday (June 29), saw a crazed man 'running over the roundabout' and 'going for any car or person near him', witnesses claimed.
Police were called to reports of a man, in the nude, who had been approaching vehicles at random on Manchester Old Road, close to the Middleton Archer pub, during the afternoon rampage, reports The Manchester Evening News.
During the incident, witnesses claimed the nude man was 'attacking a guy' from a car with children inside.
"It was awful. I was two cars behind when he was attacking the guy in car," one post read on social media. "My girls were also in car, think they're traumatised bless them."
New footage posted online and shared with the Manchester Evening News shows the moment the suspect appeared to become involved in an altercation with a driver outside an Aldi supermarket.
Shouts of 'get the kids out the car' could be heard as brave onlookers rushed in to help.
The naked man attempts to climb inside the driver's side of the vehicle before he is dragged out and forced to the ground.
The clip was shared on Instagram and has since been viewed more than 30,000 times. Greater Manchester Police confirmed a man was arrested.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Officers arrested a man in Middleton town centre on suspicion of assault and criminal damage. He remains in police custody."

Teenager dies after tragic fall at famous mountain spot as Gardai attend scene
A teenage boy has died following a tragic fall in Co Kerry on Tuesday. The 16-year-old was killed after suffering a fall near a lake in the Conor Pass area near Dingle. It's understood he died near Peddler's Lake after suffering serious injuries from a fall from a height at around 3pm on Tuesday, reports Cork Beo. The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to hospital. A post-mortem examination will be scheduled to take place, and a file will be prepared for the Coroner's office. Siblings, 9 and 6, cut off from outside world found on farm wearing nappies
Two young siblings have been found in heartbreaking conditions on a remote hillside farm in northern Italy - still wearing nappies, despite their age, and only able to speak in their own primitive language. The children, a nine-year-old boy and his six-year-old sister, had never been registered with a school or doctor and were completely unknown to the outside world or authorities. When horrified police discovered them in Lauriano, near Turin, they were described as "filthy" and completely cut off from society. The shocking discovery was made when emergency services arrived to evacuate the property following a flood warning, reports The Mirror. Officers stumbled upon the reclusive family living in squalor, with rubbish littering the garden and broken furniture and derelict trampolines left to rot outside the ramshackle farmhouse. The siblings, born in Germany before later moving to Italy, were removed from their parents by order of the Turin Juvenile Court. The court ruled: "There are facts that suggest that the minors are deprived of adequate assistance from their parents or relatives who are required to provide it." Their father, a 54-year-old Dutch sculptor, told Corriere Torino: "I love my children, I just wanted to protect them." He claimed they had laptops, musical instruments, ski gear and even rode horses and visited museums. But despite insisting he had home-schooled them, the children were unable to read or write. He reportedly said the decision to raise them in isolation was driven by fears of infection, including Covid-19. Their 38-year-old Dutch mother, believed to be homeless, is said to have shown little interest in the children during the removal process, according to the NL Times. Mayor Mara Baccolla said: "It is a very delicate matter. These children can finally find a balance and have access to a life worthy of the name." CCTV footage released as reality star charged with 'horrific' murder
A former reality star remains in custody charged with the murder of her partner as investigating police try to locate parts of the dismembered body. Emergency services attended the scene of a fire in Port Lincoln in South Australia at approximately 3.30pm on Thursday, June 19. A statement from South Australia Police on Tuesday said Mr Story's body was dismembered and his head, which was removed during the dismemberment, has yet to be located 'despite extensive searches.' Searches in and around Port Lincoln included reserves, parks, bushland and the ocean around the pier, with police confirming the search has been 'paused for now but may resume at a later stage.'
