Is this the most inappropriate wedding outfit ever? Aussie model shocks as she wears sheer outfit and see-through underwear to Sting's daughter's nuptials in Sicily
An Aussie model threatened to steal the spotlight at the wedding of Sting's daughter Fuchsia Kate Sumner and her long-time partner Max Wright over the weekend. The happy couple tied the knot in Italy with an extravagant three-day ceremony in the Sicilian town of Noto. And while many guests were enraptured with the blushing bride, some couldn't take their eyes off Nicole Trunfio, who arrived in a very racy, sheer ensemble. The brunette beauty left little to the imagination as she flaunted her figure in a completely see-through black outfit. Her black underwear could be seen underneath as it sat high on her hips, with the frock also featuring a daring, low-cut neckline. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. The completely see-through stockings clung to Nicole's figure and she finished off the look with strappy black heels. Her jewellery included a large gold ring and a huge cross secured around her neck with a black tie. Nicole added a classic leopard print clutch from Alexander McQueen to her ensemble—a designer bag which can be found secondhand for upwards of $1,400. The model finished her look with natural makeup, preferring to let her genetically blessed features shine through, and added a wave to her dark tresses. Meanwhile, Sting's daughter, who goes by Kate, looked stunning in a lace bridal gown as she kissed her groom during their extravagant pre-wedding street bash on Friday. Kate married Max in a glamorous three-day celebration in the Sicilian town of Noto over the weekend. The actress and director tied the knot with Max, a creative director in the arts and tech space, in front of family and close friends. Pictures showed the nepo baby having the time of her life with her then-fiancé before they tied the knot the morning after. On day one, guests enjoyed a street party complete with an Italian marching band and tucked into local fare including freshly baked Italian breads and aperitivo. In the evening, they attended a special performance of Una Serenata!—'A Serenade' in Italian—at the Teatro Comunale Tina di Lorenzo to celebrate local Sicilian traditions. Kate wore a white lace mermaid gown by Maison Valentino with a high neck and open back, while Max opted for a terracotta shirt and trousers. Family in attendance included Sting and his wife Trudie Styler, and Kate's older brother, musician Joe Sumner, 48, who at one point treated guests to live performances on his guitar. Kate, whose mother is Sting's first wife, the Northern Irish actress Frances Tomelty, was also joined by her half-siblings who are Sting's children with second wife Trudie. They include actress Mickey, 41—the maid of honour—musician and actor Eliot, 34, filmmaker Jake, 40, and actor Giacomo, 29. The next day brought the main event—but not without a near wardrobe disaster. For one of his outfits, Max realised the only shoelaces he had for his £720 beige Prada shoes were black. With no white laces to hand, a quick-thinking guest—American fashion stylist Erica Cloud—improvised by pulling the string from a shoe bag and threading it through his shoes. Crisis averted, the wedding ceremony took place and was held outdoors against a crimson and ivory floral backdrop. Kate wore a beautiful off-the-shoulder embroidered tulle gown with her initials embroidered on, while Max donned a light grey suit. After they exchanged vows, green and pink smoke flares shot up into the sky as they had their first kiss as husband and wife. The newlyweds then walked through the city with a beaming Kate holding their smartly dressed one-year-old son. At the reception, Sting delivered a show-stopping speech that was both heartfelt and hilarious. He joked about his early impressions of Max, unsure of what to make of the man after his daughter's heart, but quickly realised he was, in fact, 'a lovely chap'. Guests were in stitches but also, at times, in tears as the music icon described how happy he was for his daughter to have found the love of her life. Sister Mickey, who was joined by her new fiance Carter B Smith and her son from her previous marriage to tech CEO Chris Kantrowitz, also gave a speech during the reception—referring to Kate as 'the most beautiful bride'. Kate later described it as 'the best speech ever.' Her sibling Eliot, whose string of roles in Hollywood films include a security guard in the latest James Bond film, No Time To Die, was joined by their glamorous girlfriend, Mollie Davis. Eliot, who is non-binary, started dating the divorced mother-of-two last year after splitting from British aristocratic model Frankie Herbert, granddaughter of the 7th Earl of Carnarvon. Other guests included British film director Charlotte Colbert and her artist husband Philip Colbert, DJ Mia Moretti—who played a late-night set—and music label boss Henri Behrmann. The dinner, which took place at Dimora delle Balze—the same venue that hosted Italian influencer Chiara Ferragni and Fedez's 2018 wedding—was laid out on candlelit banquet tables. Guests dined on pasta, ciabatta, fresh fish, lobster and vegetables and toasted the couple underneath elegant fairy lights. After dinner, they danced late into the night to a soundtrack of Stevie Wonder classics including I Wish and disco favourites. Day three saw guests enjoy a final day of celebration, starting with 'a master blaster BBQ' to help cure hangovers from the night before. It featured a multi-layered barbeque station with chicken, fresh fruit and vegetables. Noto Mayor Corrado Figura blessed the festivities, meeting Sting on his arrival in the historic centre. He posed for a photo with the star, writing on social media: 'It was a great honour to welcome Sting, a global music icon, to the wedding of his daughter Fuschia Katherine Sumner and her partner Maximillian Wright, right here in the heart of Sicilian Baroque.' The mayor presented Sting with a book dedicated to Noto, calling it 'a small gift to thank him for sharing such an important moment for his family with us.' He added: 'Thank you to Fuschia, Maximillian and Sting for choosing Noto. Our city is proud to be part of this wonderful love story.' Kate and Max announced their engagement two years ago and Kate threw her hen's party last month—where she and her pals tucked into fried chicken and danced around in wigs. Friends describe Max as 'low-key, charming and utterly devoted'—a sentiment echoed in speeches throughout the wedding weekend.

The secret behind Ella Toone's Euros form? Gruelling holiday work-outs
Ella Toone stood in an open field, boots on, sun baring down. The England midfielder was in Cyprus on holiday with her boyfriend Joe Bunney, but there was work to do. The pair took to a local football pitch to perform sprint after sprint in gruelling heat. This was Toone's preparation for a big summer. The Lionesses had 12 days off between their Nations League game with Spain on June 4 and the beginning of their pre-camp for the Women's European Championship. Toone used it wisely, maximising time with family as well as pushing herself to her limits. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Joe Bunney (@joebunney) The Manchester United player knew she would have to be in the best physical shape to force her way into Sarina Wiegman's starting XI. There would have been disappointment when she was not picked to start the opening game against France, but those who know Toone well know she is more dangerous after a setback. Those hard yards in Cyprus paid dividends when Toone started against the Netherlands. She was all over the pitch, pressing and harrying the Dutch defenders, her second-half goal a reward for the tenacity she had shown – but her best was yet to come. Back in the team and back with a goal ⚽️ Ella Toone made it FOUR for England 👏🏴 — ITV Football (@itvfootball) July 9, 2025 Against Wales, Toone scored, assisted and completed 100 per cent of her passes. But it has been her work off the ball that has caught the eye most of all. Toone's inclusion in the team has led to the redeployment of Lauren James from No 10 to the right wing. The switch has allowed James to get on the ball more while Toone has provided balance to the midfield – something which the two players sitting behind her, Keira Walsh and Georgia Stanway, have appreciated. 'She's come in and done an incredible job,' Walsh said after England's victory over Wales. 'People speak about her offensively, but the defensive work she does for me and Georgia when she's in there is incredible. She covers a lot of spaces that we can't. 'That's probably been the main thing that's stopped other teams from playing as well. Obviously, with LJ on the wing, we've managed to get both of them on the pitch at the same time and they are two world-class players.' This is not the first time we have seen Toone overcome adversity. The midfielder's father, Nick, died in September having been diagnosed with testicular cancer the day after he had watched his daughter score in the Euro 2022 final at Wembley. Toone is extremely close with her family, who attend all of her matches for club and country. The midfielder struggled for form at the start of the season before picking up a calf injury that kept her out for six weeks. Toone told Telegraph Sport earlier this year that the injury was a blessing in disguise and allowed her time to grieve. Her return from injury coincided with an excellent run of form. She scored a hat-trick in the Manchester derby in her first game back and went on to win United's player of the season award. It was a surprise to see the midfielder left out of United's starting XI for the FA Cup final in May, but Toone is a player who thrives off bouncing back – much like England have done in this tournament. Toone has been able to lean on Beth Mead, whose mum died of ovarian cancer in 2023, for support in the past year. Both players have celebrated their goals at this tournament by pointing to the sky in a tribute to their late parents. 'I think we've both said the first game we really struggled a little bit,' Mead said. 'You look to the stands for your person who is standing there and they're not there anymore. 'So I obviously understand what Ella felt in that moment. And it's a special to be able to have that moment and think about them and dedicate to them.' Toone has been watched from the stands by boyfriend Joe and mum Karen for each game in Switzerland and the pair play a vital role in supporting her through tough times. Her team-mate and best friend Alessia Russo is also key. The two players have a bond on and off the pitch and have linked up for multiple goals in the last two games. Russo assisted Toone against the Netherlands and was also involved in the build-up for her goal against Wales. Toone then repaid the favour by teeing up Russo in the same match. 😫 Mistakes galore at the back for Wales 🏴 Ella Toone adds a second for England — ITV Football (@itvfootball) July 13, 2025 The pair are chalk and cheese when it comes to personalities but have an incredible understanding on the pitch. 'She's been working so hard on lots of different things,' Russo said of Toone. 'As a best mate, to see someone go on a journey like that, especially after the tough year she's had, it's really nice to see her flourish on the big stage.' With Toone playing behind Russo and James out wide, Wiegman has found the perfect attacking formula. The midfielder was taken off at half-time against Wales because she is carrying a yellow card from the first game and Wiegman knows how valuable she will be in the knockouts. Pick up a booking in the quarter-final against Sweden and she would miss a potential semi-final. Toone has proven herself to be an indispensable member of this team. 'I've been working really hard,' she said after the game against Wales. 'I'm my own worst critic when it comes to me playing in games and training and I've been quite hard on myself. 'I wanted to make sure that for this tournament I was at my best so I've worked hard. The rewards are really paying off and I'm really enjoying it.'

Ghosted review – dating-scene romcom is Bridget Jones tribute act
It is a truth universally acknowledged that there was some drop-off in quality between the first incomparable Bridget Jones film and its sequels, but this cheap would-be spiritual successor will have you crawling after even the worst Bridget film begging for forgiveness. Ghosted hews close to the template, to the point of feeling like a tribute act – but unfortunately not the kind of tribute act that sells out arenas but the kind that plays down the Dog & Duck of a Saturday night. Mercy (Jade Asha) is unhappily single, on the hunt for Mr Right, and hoping to improve her career (ideally from waitress to international acting superstar). Part of the film's problem is that Bridget Jones' Diary is of its time, and to hear a 30-year-old supposedly modern and progressive heroine in 2025 complain that she is a decade older than the majority of singles definitely feels dated. Thirty in 2025 is not the same as 30 in the 1990s, and it's peculiar to watch someone today bemoan it as the end of their youth. It also doesn't help that the Ghosted's narration borrows so overtly from Bridget-speak, including the dropping of personal pronouns and definite articles as in the original – but without a diary as the prop, the point of these pleasing abbreviations vanishes completely. Meanwhile the attempts to wring the same humour from pratfalls and workplace calamities fails utterly. Perhaps worst of all, Mercy is still drawn to a cad long after he reveals himself to be dodgy. It's as if Bridget had responded to Daniel Cleaver's cheating not with vodka and Chaka Khan but by inventing terrible excuses for why it was OK and by letting herself be treated like a doormat. It may be true to how people behave in real life, but if you're trying to create a fun romantic comedy, you need a perfectly imperfect heroine you can cheer on. Ghosted is on digital platforms from 21 July.
