Saudi Arabia grants 30-day grace period to extend expired visit visas for final departure

RIYADH — The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) announced that it started implementing a new initiative allowing the extension of all expired visit visas—regardless of type or designation—for the purpose of final departure from Saudi Arabia.
The grace period began on 1 Muharram 1447 AH, corresponding to June 26, 2025 and the visa holders will have 30 days to regularize their status after paying all applicable fees and penalties to facilitate their exit from the Kingdom.
The initiative is accessible through the 'Tawasul' service on the Ministry of Interior's 'Absher' electronic platform.
Jawazat urged all the concerned beneficiaries to take advantage of this limited-time opportunity before the expiry of the deadline.

For his part, Mayor of Al-Baha Region and Chairman of the Executive Committee for Al-Baha Summer 2025 Dr. Ali Al-Sawat shed light on the major features of the events taking place in Al-Baha City and the five governorates of the Sarawat Sector. These events feature integrated recreational, cultural, sports, and community activities that reflect the region's identity and align with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 for domestic tourism development. He highlighted their diversity and inclusiveness, encompassing all age groups and interests, enhancing the region's tourism experience. The festival witnessed broad community participation, with 431 outlets allocated to productive families and 25 sales incubators. A volunteer program was also launched with the participation of more than 6,500 male and female volunteers who supported the season's activities in the areas of organization, guidance, and services. The festival represents an integrated national model in planning, community engagement, and tourism experience, enhancing the region's presence as a major summer destination on the Kingdom's domestic tourism map.

Hajj Ministry: Gulf citizens can perform Umrah at any time
Saudi Gazette report RIYADH — The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced on Friday that the performance of Umrah pilgrimage will be available to the citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states at any time. The entry for the Gulf citizens is permitted through any port, provided that a permit is issued through the Nusuk app. The ministry clarified that GCC citizens can perform Umrah with simplified procedures, by issuing an Umrah permit through the Nusuk app and arriving directly through land or air ports. 'Visiting Al-Rawdah Al-Sharif at the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah requires prior appointment booking through the Nusuk app,' it added.
