Former India pacer Varun Aaron joins SRH as bowling coach
Aaron had played nine Tests and as many ODIs for India between 2011 and 2015. Aaron's last competitive match was a Vijay Hazare Trophy game for Jharkhand against Goa at Jaipur on January 5 earlier this year.
However, Aaron brought curtains down on his playing career after Jharkhand failed to enter the knockout stages of the domestic 50-over competition. The 35-year-old had burst onto the scene as a young tearawaycapable of crossing the 150 kmph mark and it earned him immediate attention from the selectors. In fact, the top brass at that time wanted to invest heavily on him and the other blooming fast bowler — Umesh Yadav. While Umesh went on to play more than 50 Tests, Aaron soon slipped largely into an onlooker courtesy frequent injuries. Post-retirement, Aaron has moved on to become a TV pundit before joining the Hyderabad outfit in his new role.

Ten days ago, Suryavanshi had hammered a 78-ball 143 for India U-19 in a 50 over game against England U-19 in Worcester, extending his reputation as a clean hitter of the ball. England U-19 left-arm spinner Ralphie Albert, who was part of the white-ball game in Worcester and also the Youth Test here, was surprised by the Indian's aggressive approach across formats. "I bowled to him (Vaibhav Suryavanshi) throughout the ODI series. And then coming off the Test series, you'd think maybe he'd pull back a bit, but he's kept going. But yeah, he's a really good player," said Albert after day four. Suryanvanshi can do without the constant attention but one London-based couple of Indian origin travelled two hours from the British capital to see the flamboyant opener in flesh and blood. "I came only for Suryavanshi. I hope I can get a picture with him," said Sanjeev, who has a government job in the UK. His wish for a selfie was not fulfilled as play extended to 7.30 pm local time with both teams pushing for a result. For someone who has a long way to go, Suryavanshi will need to find a way to deal with this global attention.

Karthik revealed the entrance where Jitesh was stopped by a guard was not the entrance to Lord's but rather to the media center, where he himself had invited Jitesh. With him not having played Ranji Trophy last season and Pandya aiming to make a Baroda team which can win a domestic title in the upcoming season, it all came together for Jitesh to leave Vidarbha,' said sources aware of the development to IANS. In the last domestic season, Jitesh captained Vidarbha in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) competition and played under Karun Nair's leadership in the Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT). A move to Baroda means Jitesh will be able to play both white ball and red ball formats, where he's played only 18 first-class games since making his longer format debut in 2015/16. For RCB in IPL 2025, Jitesh played key knocks as a finisher, including hitting an unbeaten 85 in a must-win against Lucknow Super Giants and helping RCB finish in the top two of the points table. He also served as RCB's captain when Rajat Patidar suffered a finger injury towards the back end of the ca/ompetition.
