Let BJP speak about current issues: Minister
Terming the Supreme Court cautioning the Enforcement Directorate against being used to fight political battles (regarding MUDA case) as a setback for the BJP, Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao asked BJP leaders to speak about current issues instead of repeatedly talking about Emergency and history."Supreme Court has highlighted how the ED is used in politics. What morality Union Minister Pralhad Joshi has now to speak about MUDA case? ED and CBI are made like organs of the BJP, and such institutions are weakened. Let BJP leaders speak about those issues of today," he who is also the district in-charge minister of Dakshina Kannada, told reporters in Hubballi on Tuesday that an SIT was formed to clear confusions regarding the issues in Dharmasthala town, as they were discussed everywhere. There was pressure from public and organisations, and the government took time to form the SIT. We don't know whether bodies were buried or not, but the SIT investigation will clear the confusion. BJP's allegation that it was politically motivated is baseless, he also said BJP leaders lack knowledge about the issue of tax on vendors for UPI BJP's challenge and CM's Economic Advisor Basavaraj Rayareddy's prediction about AICC chief Mallikarjun Kharge becoming the PM, Dinesh said, "Kharge has all the abilities to become the PM, and there is no question in it. That's all".He also asked Deputy Leader of Opposition in Legislative Assembly Arvind Bellad to provide proper records regarding his allegation about food poisoning of Kudalasangam seer Basava Jayamruthyunjay Swamiji.

Anti-BC mindset of BJP exposed: Ponnam Prabhakar and BC leaders of Congress
Congress leaders, led by BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, came down heavily on BJP Telangana State president Ramachander Rao for his remarks that 42% reservation for Backward Classes (BCs) cannot be included in the Ninth Schedule due to legal issues. Mr. Prabhakar accused the BJP president of exposing the party's anti-BC mindset and of conspiring against the interests of BC communities in Telangana. Questioning Mr. Rao's claims, the Minister reminded that Tamil Nadu already has higher reservations and protected through inclusion in the Ninth Schedule. The Minister pointed out that the Supreme Court, in the landmark Indira Sawhney case, clearly held that if a State has empirical data and authentic surveys, it is empowered to take decisions on reservations. 'Telangana government has conducted a scientific survey and, with the approval of the Cabinet, Legislature and the Governor, has placed its proposals before the Centre,' he said. MLC Addanki Dayakar said the statement of Mr. Rao reflects the BJP's feudal mindset and their disinterest in ensuring 42% reservations. Other BC leaders, Chanagani Dayakar, Indira Shobhan, Gouri Satish, Keturi Venkatesh and Lingam Yadav in separate press conferences said the BJP will not be spared if it fails to ensure the reservations are implemented.
