Kaizer Chiefs rumours: Mama Joy in the news, star owes SARS R6 million
Gaston Sirino is in hot water with the South African Revenue Services.
Monnapule Saleng is a forgotten figure but Pirates need to find a buyer.
Mayele will only come to South Africa for 'Amapiano and a holiday'
Nobody has ever questioned the loyalty of Kaizer Chiefs fans. Just look at the continuous disappointments they have faced, and they just keep getting back up off the ground. Could Mama Joy become the latest Chiefs 'Super Fan' to keep morale in the stadium up? We've seen this suggestion more than once this week in our comments sections. Mama Joy doing what she does best. After Pirates hesitated to sell Monnapule Saleng, and with all possible suitors knowing he's unhappy at the club, that will certainly drive his price down. Pirates' bargaining position is significantly weakened. Can they still sell the mercurial winger to a South African side?

Hero's welcome? Here's when world champion Junior Springboks return home
South Africa's victorious Junior Springboks will return home on Monday after their historic triumph in the World Rugby U20 Championship, where they defeated New Zealand 23-15 in the final to claim their first title since 2012. The team is scheduled to touch down at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg at 10:35 on Turkish Airlines flight TK 042 on Monday morning. And they are expected to be met with a hero's welcome. SA Rugby President Mark Alexander will join the players and coaches for a media conference at 11:15 in the airport's media room, celebrating the young team's undefeated campaign. Coach Kevin Foote and several Junior Springboks players, including captain Riley Norton, are also scheduled for a brief stand-up media session at Cape Town International Airport following their arrival in the Mother City at 15:45. The Junior Springboks' win in Rovigo, Italy, marks South Africa's third world title across rugby's major competitions, joining the senior Springboks and the Blitzboks as reigning global champions. Their gritty, physical style and strong team unity earned them seven straight wins in the tournament, including two victories over New Zealand. Speaking after his team's title triumph, Norton said the squad was still absorbing the scale of their achievement. 'It's overwhelming. We knew what we were capable of, but to bring the trophy back home means the world to us.' Coach Foote added: 'These boys showed South African heart. It's not just a win for the team, it's a win for the future of our rugby.' Let us know by leaving a comment below, or send a WhatsApp to 060 011 0211. PSL transfer news: Mofokeng, Coetzee, Kodisang, Mokwana
With the Premier Soccer League (PSL) set to kick off in three weeks, many teams have been active during the transfer window, working to strengthen their squads. Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates have combined to sign 17 new players as they aim to challenge Mamelodi Sundowns. Both teams won a trophy last season but were unable to compete effectively against Masandawana in the league. Amakhosi and Pirates just completed their pre-season tour of Europe and will look to test their squads for the upcoming season. Sundowns have been relatively quiet since returning from the FIFA Club World Cup. The Brazilians have parted ways with Rivaldo Coetzee, Thabang Sibanyoni, Sipho Mbule, Sanele Tshabalala, Lebohang Maboe, Lucas Suárez, and Sifiso Ngobeni. Coetzee's agent, Mike Makaab, has revealed that the former Ajax Cape Town defender has recovered from injury and is ready to join any team 'I think the first thing you need to remember is that Rivaldo left Sundowns with an injury, but he has made big progress and he should be ready by August,' Makaab told FARPost. 'There is interest in the player, but at the moment, nothing has been official. We hope that we will find a club for him sooner rather than later.' Sundowns are reportedly looking to loan out Kobamelo Kodisang to a club in Portugal. The 25-year-old winger played just seven league matches for Downs last season. Mohau Nkota leaving Pirates for Saudi Arabia shocked many soccer fans. Many expected his peer, Relebohile Mofokeng, to be the only one leaving the PSL giants. The 20-year-old is still with the Buccaneers despite being linked to several European and Middle East teams. Bafana Bafana winger Elias Mokwana is back in the country after a good season with Esperance. The former Sekhukhune United star has been linked to Chiefs, but it remains unlikely that the Tunisian will want to sell Mokwana. With the PSL starting early August, expect teams to go all out as the transfer deadline looms. Let us know by leaving a comment below, or send a WhatsApp to 060 011 0211. 'I think it is good because it helps the guys in terms of confidence to end with a victory," said Ouaddou. Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou says the Buccaneers are keen to play at home in front of their supporters after victory in Spain on Saturday. This comes after Pirates ended their preseason tour of Spain with a 2-0 win over Granada at the Marbella Sport Centre. Ouaddou says despite their failure to win their previous matches, he always knew that the Buccaneers would turn things around. 'I had all the time the trust from my players and we tried with my staff to give them confidence, to play, to train well, to give efforts and to stay united. And step by step, we finished this camp with a victory,' Ouaddou told Pirates media. Pirates confident ahead of City clash Ouaddou added that their victory against Granada would give his players confidence ahead of the MTN8 quarter final clash against Polokwane City at home at Orlando Stadium on 2 August. 'I think it is good because it helps the guys in terms of confidence to end with a victory. 'For me, I was not worried because of what we have seen since the beginning here in terms of training, in terms of football and the aim to go forward to create the chances we had. 'We are going to give some rest to the players, but we are very impatient to go back to Johannesburg to play in front of our fans who are waiting for us. They want to see this new team. They want to see them play, and we can't wait to see them and play in front of them,' said Ouaddou.
