M&S's new 'not to be missed' sandwich with controversial filling divides foodies

MandS has launched a new sandwich with a controversial filling that has left shoppers divided, with some saying they are "passing" on the new lunch treat
Marks & Spencer has sparked a heated debate among shoppers with its latest "not to be missed" sandwich, featuring a rather unconventional filling.
The Strawberry and Creme sandwich, launched on Wednesday (June 25), consists of ripe strawberries and whipped cream cheese nestled between two slices of sweetened bread. According to M&S, this unique creation draws inspiration from Japanese "sweet sandos" or fruit sandwiches, which have been gaining popularity in London's trendy Japanese patisseries.

M&S explained: "Inspired by the Japanese sweet sandos, recently spotted popping up in London's trendiest Japanese patisseries, our product developers have long dreamed of creating a dessert sandwich."

The company added: "With our exclusive Red Diamond Strawberries at their juiciest best, the time has finally come to create the ultimate strawberries and creme experience."
They envision the sandwich as a perfect treat for various summer occasions, from alfresco lunches to afternoon tea at home or a sweet pick-me-up, reports the Manchester Evening News.
However, not all shoppers share M&S's enthusiasm for this novel sandwich. On the Facebook page Bargain Lovers and Deals, Debbie Lyle expressed her reservations: "I'll pass on that. In cake maybe, but not bread."
Tanya Campbell-Gillies was more blunt, stating: "Gross. Surely it will make the bread soggy."
Um Ahmad Hussain chimed in, saying: "It looks nice but I don't think it will taste nice."

However, not everyone is convinced by the bread-based treat, with some suggesting that there are more suitable alternatives for this fruity snack.
One customer, Marguerita Bryan, suggested: "Between slices of Victoria sponge would be better, not bread!" Another shopper, Tel Rose, chimed in with: "Should have been sandwiched in between two scone like pieces in the shape of bread. But while some shoppers say they will be avoiding the fruit-filled sandwich, others say they are eager to try the limited edition item.Responding to MandS's Instagram post, blogger Vickie Neave wrote: ".
Despite some customers expressing their intention to give the fruit-filled sandwich a miss, others are keen to sample the limited edition offering.

Reacting to MandS's Instagram post, blogger Vickie Neave exclaimed: "Whaaaaattttt! ! ! ! I have not got time to be chasing around after this."
Fellow blogger Faye Gooding was more enthusiastic, writing: "Oh my, this looks incredible."
MandS has a long-standing reputation for sandwich making, having first sold freshly made sandwiches back in the 1920s before introducing pre-packed sandwiches in the 1980s. The retailer has since sold a staggering four billion sandwiches.
The limited edition Red Diamond Strawberry and Creme sandwich can be snapped up in MandS food halls for £2.80.

Kieran Trippier 'growing close to adult star' after collapse of his marriage

Footballer Kieran Trippier was spotted out with a mystery woman in recent weeks following months of reports his marriage was on the rocks - and now she has been identified as an OnlyFans star Kieran Trippier enjoyed a night out with an OnlyFans star before announcing his split from his wife, a report has claimed. The 34-year-old footballer, who plays for Premier League club Newcastle United as a right-back, has been married for nine years. He married partner Charlotte in Cyprus in 2016 and they went on to welcome a son named, Jacob, and two daughters, named Esme and Isla. For months, reports have raged that the couple have been in troubled waters - with headlines last year suggesting they had holidayed separately amid concerns for their marriage. ‌ Last September, there were concerns the marriage was over when Kieran was seen without his wedding ring. And two weeks ago, it was reported he had been spotted out with a mystery woman. ‌ Now the mystery has seemingly been solved, as the blonde woman he was spotted out and about with in Newcastle has been unmasked as an OnlyFans content creator named Sienna Day. A source told The Sun:"After leaving the Wafi Lounge, Kieran was in another club with Sienna and they appeared close. She is well known on the scene in Newcastle and was with him in the club for just over an hour. 'They left not long before 3am. Kieran looked very taken with Sienna.' The Mirror has approached representatives of Kieran for comment. Last week it was reported that Kieran and Charlotte had been separated for a year and are now planning to get a divorce. It was reported that the couple were keen to carry on with their lives while planning to make their divorce "as amicable as possible." Earlier this month, it was reported that Kieran had been spotted out in Newcastle partying with Geordie Shore star Chloe Ferry. The England international, who has 54 caps, shared with his followers that he's moving forward after parting ways with his wife. ‌ Charlotte subsequently broke her silence on the reports of the end of their marriage, telling fans she is "fine" but not ready to talk. Taking to Instagram last week in view of her 34,300 followers, she said she had been inundated with messages of support from women and also men who had been sending their well wishes. "I just wanted to let everyone know that I am fine," she said. Charlotte added: "Obviously, I am not ready to talk about my situation. ‌ "In time I will, when I am comfortable and the time is right, also I have three young children, haven't I, so I don't want to be putting things out there for them to see. But yeah, I just wanted to let everyone know it's not that bad, and you can get through it once you make the decision. "Like, you can get through it, the sparkle does come back, I feel like I am getting my glow back again, and yeah, like, you'll get there. So, anyone that needs any motivational speech or just some general chit chat, I'm all about mental health and stuff like that, I'm letting you know you will absolutely get through, any sort of break up or anything similar to what I'm going through." Charlotte's post which has been liked over 2,800 times was soon flooded with messages of support. Former The Only Way Is Essex star Billi Mucklow penned: "Keep sparkling beautiful." One Newcastle United fan penned: "I live in the North East and I'm a huge Newcastle fan, I love Trippier on the pitch and all he's done for the team, and if I'm being honest, I didn't want to believe what I was reading on social media about him. However, I wanted to say I've followed you for a while now and what a lovely, genuine person you seem to be. Always so happy and classy. You're so pretty, he's lost a good one there!" Charlotte replied to the fan: "Thanks so much! Tripps defo does great on the pitch and so happy for you Geordies that you are doing so well! Much love to the Geordies."

TALA drops new bridal collection with 'genius' styles

Shoppers are saying they 'need every piece' from the Grace x TALA bridal edit calling the collection 'the best thing ever' Clothing brand TALA might be best known for their sustainable and size inclusive gym-wear, however, the brand has just dropped a brand new bridal edit and fans can't get enough. The Grace x TALA The Bridal Edit includes a limited edition collection of versatile styles designed to be worn from hen to honeymoon and beyond. Inspired by founder Grace Beverley's own bridal journey as she is set to be married later this year, she even styled the pieces at her hen do in Marbella, Spain. Stocked in sizes extra small to extra large and with prices starting from £32, the edit won't be re-stocked so we wouldn't delay for those that don't want to miss out. The all-white clothing collection includes a silky maxi dress, plunge swimsuit, linen trousers and poplin maxi skirt, as well as an active range with sports vest, sports bra and skort. Consumers don't have to be getting married to enjoy the edit, as all the pieces are versatile enough to be worn throughout the summer, no matter the occasion. Announcing the collection on Instagram, Grace wrote: "If you think I'm getting married and not wearing my own brand as much as possible in the lead up, you are mistaken. So, almost a year ago now, we started working on a fun extra project at work: what would the ideal bridal capsule look like? "And now, after months of perfecting designs, it's finally here. This one's for the bridal girlies who don't want pieces they won't be able to style again (and also anyone who likes gorgeous white silky pieces)." Grace X TALA The Bridal Edit from £32 TALA Shop Here Product Description The Silky Maxi Dress at £62 in diamond white is arguably the star of the show, with adjustable shoulder straps, a double-lined bust panel and a flattering silhouette. One person said 'wow I'm not getting married but need it all' and another wrote 'phenomenal idea, but you see that dress? I needed it in my wardrobe like yesterday'. Another shopper was impressed with the Linen Tailored Wide Leg Trousers in coconut milk. Calling them a 'wardrobe essential', someone wrote: "Perfect item to add to your wardrobe quality of material was great just looked so good on I was definitely not disappointed with these trousers." However, sizing was a little off for another three star reviewer, sharing: "These were too long and baggy on me, but loved the colour and fabric. I did try turning them up to see if I could just adjust the length, but they still swamped me." Shoppers can also explore the Nobody's Child Bridal Edit, designed to be worn from proposal to party. Prices start from £89 and pieces include mini dresses, jumpsuits and bridesmaid dresses. Those interested in swimwear, might want to consider the TALA Plunge Swimsuit. The £69 all-in-one is on of the brand's bestselling styles, now in white, with customers saying it is 'really comfy' and can be worn 'so many ways'. One shopper even called it 'the perfect swimsuit', explaining: "This product is outstanding. I have not felt that good in my body for ages, and as soon as put it on, I felt cinched, curvy and smooth all at once. What a product, what a brand. High quality and worth the money." Someone else mentioned that they would prefer 'a but more coverage on the bum'. At Boux Avenue, the Rivoli Swimsit has a similar look and shoppers say it gives 'a lot of support in the straps and cups'. It's not all-white like the TALA option, but consumers can select a specific bra size. The Grace x TALA Bridal Edit is available to shop here.

M&S' 'flattering' £29.50 linen top is 'light and comfortable'

Shoppers love the 'light and comfortable' linen top that's been praised for its 'flattering' shape M&S shoppers are smitten with a "stylish" linen top that's "very flattering" and "comfortable." Customers have shared glowing reviews for the £29.50 Linen Rich Square Neck Vest Top. Not all sizes are available, but the top is currently in stock in sizes 8 to 20. M&S ' product description says: "Breeze through sunny days in style with this lightweight linen-blend top. It's designed in a regular fit with a flattering square neckline for a modern touch. The sleeveless style keeps you cool while offering effortless freedom of movement." Similar styles from M&S include the £25 Linen Rich Square Neck Vest Top, the £35 Linen Rich V-Neck Lace Insert Top, and the £39.50 Linen Rich Cutwork Detail Top. Elsewhere, various retailers offer alternative styles. For example, Next has a £26.50 White Sleeveless Shirt With Linen that could suit shoppers looking for workwear, Nobody's Child has a £42 White Linen-blend Swing Top that could impress those looking for a relaxed fit. Seasalt Cornwall also offers a £47.95 Lighthouse Station Linen Vest. That said, shoppers may still prefer the M&S Linen Rich Square Neck Vest Top. It's loved by reviewers, who praised the look and feel of the product. However, some reported sizing issues, with many commenting on the straps. One happy shopper said: "Lovely material, falls really nicely, wide straps are very flattering, bought for summer, good with jeans and satin skirt etc." A second reviewer wrote: "Very flattering, light and comfortable summer top." Another fan agreed: "Easy and flattering. Some of us need a sun top which is more than a vest top. This one ticks that box very well. Good feel to the fabric." However, a shopper who had a problem with the fit said: "This top is light weight and very versatile. My only gripe with it is that it makes this weird looking crease in the middle & the straps fall down (a lot!) I suggest sizing down." A similar response read: "This is a nice top and this may be down to me but when trying it on the left shoulder kept slipping off onto my arm, so returned it." Someone else replied: "Great fabric. Good value. But no strap adjustment. "Liked the style and fabric. Good cover on the top, however had to return as the straps would not stay up when I tried it on and there is no adjustment. Bought for holiday." There were also mixed views on the silhouette. A reviewer shared: "Lovely top which will be perfect in warmer weather. My only slight criticism is that it's rather shapeless but I'm sure I'll be grateful for it being baggy when I'm hot." But another wrote: "I love a denim top, this is nice but I didn't like it quite enough to keep for the price. It's nice fabric but I would have liked it to have a bit more structure. The neckline is a good shape though." Despite some criticism, the majority of shoppers liked the top. For instance, someone said they liked the top when they sized down, explaining: "Fabric is soft and looks very fresh for summer. But it sizes very big. "Buy small otherwise it does a strange crease in the front." Another pleased fan said: "Love this top, great quality, comfortable and stylish."
