Rangers legend spotted in popular Glasgow city centre bar
Alex MacDonald, affectionately known as Doddie, was photographed at the iconic Oswald's Bar—a favourite spot for Rangers fans.
The club hero stopped by to see the bar's display of the 1972 European Cup Winners' Cup trophy, celebrating one of the greatest nights in the club's history.

The bar shared the moment on Facebook, writing: "What an honour to have Barcelona Bear Alex 'Doddie' MacDonald in to see our new 1972 European Cup Winners Cup proudly in its display.
"Part of the team that famous night legends were made and gave our Club its finest hour."
Fans quickly flooded the comments after seeing the post.
One fan wrote: "A true blue if ever there was one."
Another commented: "My favourite Rangers player."
A third stated: "One of my all-time favourites had the pleasure of meeting him a few years ago, also a genuinely nice man, very humble."

The Rangers icon grew up in the Kinning Park area of Glasgow, and started as a passionate Rangers supporter and went on to live every fan's dream.
As a midfielder, he became an integral part of the team's success during the 1970s, helping Rangers to lift the European trophy in 1972 and playing a key role in two domestic trebles within three seasons.

The forward is in demand this summer after an impressive campaign last term for the Scottish champions Brentford are reportedly showing interest in Daizen Maeda - despite the Celtic star making his feelings clear over an exit. Reports in Turkey stating Jose Mourinho's men were told stump up £21million for the star by Celtic - and that valuation is unlikely to have moved since. But Maeda has already hinted this summer that he is in no rush to leave - as he sets his sights on the Champions League after reaching the play-off phase of the competition. He said: "I really enjoyed playing in the Champions League this season because there were so many games and it gave us a lot of different challenges. "I think the new format has been great and I am excited to try it again this upcoming season. It helped me improve. "We played some great teams. Personally, I actually thought the best side we played was Atalanta because they didn't appear to have any weaknesses." And last week Maeda explained during an interview in his homeland that his family was settled in Glasgow. He said: "My son was doing knee sliding exercises at home. I was inspired by that and thought I could do it too. "I thought I'd give it a go and it was surprisingly easy, so I started doing it after that. It's easy to do in Scotland because the grass is always wet." BBC will air Neil Young's Glastonbury set in sudden change of schedule plans
It has been announced that Neil Young's Glastonbury performance will be aired on the BBC tonight after all. Neil Young has made a full 180 decision over his headline performance at Glastonbury, which is taking place at the Pyramid stage later tonight. In a whiplash-inducing turn of events, the BBC will in fact air the musician's performance, after it was announced earlier this week that Young had requested his set not be televised live. A BBC spokesperson said: "We are delighted to confirm that Neil Young's headline set from Glastonbury on Saturday will be broadcast live to audiences across the UK on the BBC.' Viewers will be able to watch the performance on iPlayer's Pyramid Stage stream from 10pm, as well as BBC Two and Radio 2. On-demand plans continue to be finalised, reported The Mirror. Young announced last year he would play Glastonbury in 2025, only to retract his decision upon learning of the BBC's involvement. However, he later changed his mind. BBC presenter Colin Paterson explained earlier this week: "I asked [event co-organiser] Emily Eavis what was going on and she says she does not believe that Neil Young's set will be broadcast by the BBC. "There's been all kinds of backstage wrangling and negotiations, but as things currently stand, Neil Young's headline set on Saturday night will not be broadcast by the BBC. Instead, they'll be showing Charli xcx." When Young played Glastonbury in 2009, only five songs were televised. Speaking at the time Mark Cooper, then executive producer of the BBC's Glastonbury coverage, said: 'Neil Young's career has been conducted on his own terms. They believe in the live event and retaining its mystery and that of their artist. "They have decided to make one song available online over the weekend to give a flavour of his set. That's Rockin' in the Free World and that's their decision. You probably won't find too many Neil Young performances available freely on TV or online.' In another development, fans are now fearful after his last two European shows in Bergen, Norway, and Copenhagen, Denmark, were hit with sound problems. Fans complained about a poor vocal mix during the show, and some were also unhappy that on at least one of those shows, Neil didn't have any large screens for fans to see the action from the back of the crowd. BBC bosses are said to be treading carefully after the star pulled out of the festival earlier this year citing concerns about the BBC's 'corporate control'. He said in January: 'We were told that BBC was now a partner in Glastonbury and wanted us to do a lot of things in a way we were not interested in. It seems Glastonbury is now under corporate control and is not the way I remember it being.' A BBC spokeswoman said: 'We aim to bring audiences as many performances as possible from the Pyramid Stage, and our schedules and plans continue to be finalised, right up to and during the festival.' Young has voiced his concerns, making principled stands recently. He blocked his music from Spotify for two years, saying a podcaster on the platform had spread vaccine misinformation. Aberdeen secure stunning £8MILLION funding deal as Dave Cormack vows to keep pace with Premiership rivals

And Cormack has promised to keep Aberdeen at the forefront of Scottish game after the 49ers Enterprises' £20m investment in Rangers and Tony Bloom's £10m boost for Hearts. Cormack beamed: 'We continue to make good progress towards achieving long-term financial sustainability of the club with record season ticket sales, AberDNA memberships and markedly increased commercial and retail revenues. 'Combined with the additional funds generated, successful player trading is integral to this goal and remains a major factor in our recruitment. 'We have spent the last 12 months studying the market and refining our strategy in this area. 'This has complemented some of the squad planning work that we have undertaken, which in part has highlighted the need for adjustments in our own structures and the need for additional capital and operational investments if we are to continue to make progress and challenge ourselves to drive more success on and off the field. 'Together with our investors, I remain committed to driving Aberdeen forward and continuing to make our supporters and the region proud of its football club.' It's understood Cormack has personally put in £4m on the new sum with Crotty also investing heavily in the plan. The £8m will mainly be used for capital projects at Cormack Park, including the planned construction of a new full-sized indoor arena - with work to start in the New Year. Works will also take place at Pittodrie, including improved floodlights and corporate lounges as the club plans for a medium-term stay at their current home. Dons chief executive Alan Burrows added: 'This latest injection of funding takes the total investment from Dave, Tom and their colleagues to over £25m in the last few years. 'We're incredibly grateful to our investors for the new funds, which will provide a significant portion of the capital required for these improvements at Cormack Park and our stadium, while also being able to continue to invest in the squad and the football operation. 'Our training facility at Cormack Park is fantastic, and the addition of a full-sized, indoor arena and additional operational space will take it to a whole new level, opening new possibilities for our men's, women's, academy and community programmes. 'In addition, we have recently been able to more than double the investment in our scouting and talent ID department across the continent.
