Rajkummar Rao's foray into the gangster genre, Maalik, opened to a lukewarm response from audiences on its first day. The trend remained relatively flat throughout the day, with afternoon and evening shows recording 9.54% and 10.01% respectively. The night shows peaked slightly at 13.49%. Interestingly, Tier-2 cities like Jaipur and Lucknow were among the strongest markets for the film, registering occupancies of 15.25% and 13.25% respectively.
