Frequent transfers may hit GST collections, warns AP GST association leaders
According to a press release, he said that a delegation from the association requested Minister for Finance Payyavula Keshav, and TDP State president Palla Srinivasa Rao to bring the matter to the notice of the Chief Minister, noting that in the past three decades, no department in the State had experienced frequent and 100% transfers.
Mr. Purushottam Naidu, along with the association's State president, Allina Ramesh Kumar, State associate president, Rayi Venugopal and general secretary Kalyan, interacted with Mr. Srinivasa Rao and urged him to use his good office to protect the interests of officials and staff concerned about the annual transfers.
Mr. Purushottam Naidu said: 'Transferring all officials and staff hampers work since it takes a lot of time and effort to get acquainted with dealers, traders and others. Additionally, it is impossible for them to meet the GST targets.'

Will make TG global mfg hub, says Revanth
Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Thursday said that the state government put plans in place to promote Hyderabad as a destination for global investments and make Telangana a hub of the manufacturing sector in the world. Speaking at the inauguration of Malabar Gems and Jewellery's manufacturing unit at IP General Park in Maheshwaram on Thursday, the Chief Minister said his government's main objective was not only attracting investments but also helping investors earn profits. Assuring policy stability, Revanth Reddy said the state government was continuing the industrial policies introduced by the previous governments. He pointed out that the TDP and Congress each held power for 10 years in the undivided Andhra Pradesh, followed by the BRS, which governed Telangana from 2014 to December 2023. 'Now, our government has been in office since December 2023. But our policies on investments, and industrial growth have not changed. Governments come and go, but our policies and incentives remain consistent. I want to assure every investor - we are here to support you," he said. 'We offer incentives. Come, invest, and do business. Telangana means profit - come and invest in Telangana,' he said. Further, the Chief Minister said that the proactive measures taken by his government to attract global investments were giving positive dividends. The state signed agreements with global companies for total investments worth more than Rs 2 lakh crore during his official tours to the US, Singapore and Davos. The state will attract more investors from many parts of the world in the future, he said. Revanth Reddy said that plans had already been formulated to build 30,000-acre Bharat Future City near the industrially- developed Maheshwaram. Stating that the government will release the 'TelanganaRising 2047' vision document on December 9, the Chief Minister said that the vision document would focus on developing the youngest state of Telangana for the next 100 years at a faster pace. Meanwhile, Malabar Gold & Diamonds commenced operations at its new jewellery manufacturing facility which is spread over 3.45 lakh sq ft area. It is the group's largest unit among its 14 manufacturing facilities across India and the GCC countries. The unit has an annual production capacity of over 4.7 tonnes of gold jewellery and 1.8 lakh carats of diamond jewellery, along with an annual gold refining capacity of 78 tonnes.

CII chief sees 6.7% growth in FY26, says uncertainty a risk
NEW DELHI: The country's economy is projected to grow by 6.4-6.7% during the current financial year, Rajiv Memani, newly appointed president of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), said on Thursday but cautioned that geopolitical uncertainty could pose a risk to the forecast. "At a time when global economic and political volatility is at its highest in over two decades, India stands out as a bright spot," Memani said. In his first news conference after taking over as CII president, Memani also suggested a raft of reform measures that could be undertaken to accelerate growth. He also backed rationalisation of GST rates and a move towards a three-tiered rate structure, with essential goods under 5% slab, luxury and sin goods at 28%, and placing all other items within 12-18% range. Memani cited a number of factors that are supporting growth, including a favourable monsoon outlook, enhanced liquidity after RBI's rate cuts. Regarding the proposed India-US Free Trade Agreement, Memani said: "We will not have 100% winners," stating that CII has advocated for a "balanced and reasonable" approach. He said sensitive sectors, such as agriculture and dairy, might be excluded from the initial agreement, which is expected to be implemented in phases as areas with significant political implications would be addressed at a later stage. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch CFD với công nghệ và tốc độ tốt hơn IC Markets Đăng ký Undo Memani also expressed concerns over shortage of critical minerals in the auto sector and said the issue is more serious than it appears, with some auto companies already planning to cut production. Govt to broaden amnesty for pending pre-GST taxes
Mumbai: The state govt is expecting to unlock Rs 20,000-25,000 crore pending as outstanding taxes from public sector units, financial institutions, and infrastructure holding companies of state and central govts since before the introduction of GST in 2017 by offering an amnesty. On Thursday, the state finance department proposed an amendment to its Maharashtra Settlement of Arrears of Tax, Interest, Penalty for Late Fee Act 2025 to make the amnesty scheme more comprehensive by including tax-paying PSUs, banks, and infrastructure companies from whom thousands of crores are due. The amendment, tabled in the state legislative assembly, will be discussed prior to approval. "Earlier in March, when the Act was passed, public sector units registered under the Companies Act were mentioned. However, we missed including those which are registered as state or central govt enterprises, authorities, or entities," said a senior SGST official. Such an amendment, tax experts say, will help the state recover at least Rs 10,000 crore in taxes pending with banks, municipal bodies, and infrastructure companies such as Mhada, MSRDC, MMRDA, besides PSUs like HPCL, BPCL, IOC, Mazagon Dock Ltd, etc. In March this year, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd paid pending dues worth Rs 2,471 crore soon after the Maharashtra Settlement of Arrears of Tax, Interest, Penalty for Late Fee Act 2025 was passed. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 평균 뱃살 "20cm"콸콸! 굶지 않고 빨리 똥뱃살 잡는 방법 중년 복부비만 DIET 더 알아보기 Undo You Can Also Check: Mumbai AQI | Weather in Mumbai | Bank Holidays in Mumbai | Public Holidays in Mumbai "There is a large amount of levy of tax being litigated by the corporations, public sector banks, departments, rural or urban local bodies or authorities, enterprises or entities which are registered under the Central Acts other than the Companies Act 2013 or State Acts or are constituted by the govt resolutions. To unlock the amount involved in the outstanding dues of taxes and reduce the old pending litigations, the govt considers it expedient to provide for a lump sum payment option for settlement of arrears of tax, interest, penalty, or late fees and closure of old pending litigation. It is therefore proposed to amend the Act suitably," the copy of the bill said.
