COPS have launched a mystery death probe after human remains were discovered.
Officers were summoned this morning to Motherwell, Lanarkshire following reports of a human corpse.

Cops are urging members of the public to avoid the scene as they comb the area for clues.
The town's Calder Road area has been locked down and a police presence will be visible.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "At around 8.35am on Saturday, 31 May, 2025, officers were called to a report of a body found in the Calder Road area of Motherwell.
"Calder Road is closed to motorists and pedestrians from Rosevale Crescent to the A721 Bellshill Road.
"People are asked to avoid the area if possible.
"The death is being treated as unexplained and extensive enquiries are ongoing.
"Officers remain in the area while the investigation continues and anyone with any concerns can approach them."
Elsewhere tributes have been paid to an "adored" great-gran who died after a horror crash on a Scots road.
Judith Molloy, 76, passed away following the smash on the A75 at Auchenlarie in Dumfries and Galloway.
The incident involved a red Suzuki Ignis and a white Peugeot van.
Mercy crews raced to the scene after the alarm was raised around 11:20am on Wednesday.
Judith, the passenger in the car, was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, where she died.
Her devastated family said: "Judith was an adored wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and she leaves behind family and many friends whose lives will never be the same."
The driver and passenger of the van were taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary and have since been discharged.

'She set off for school with her flag and she was in good spirits, but almost immediately, after she arrived at school she was put into an isolation room. 'Isobelle was put into one of many meeting rooms the school has with about 30 other kids. 'It's absolutely ridiculous. Four charged on suspicion of human trafficking after raids across Dundee
The two men and two women were detained by officers following raids at properties in Dundee. Four suspects arrested on suspicion of drugs offences and human trafficking have been charged in connection with the operation. The two men and two women were detained in Dundee yesterday, Monday, July 21, and Police Scotland has said they have now been charged. The men - aged 34 and 35 - and women - aged 29 and 32 - were arrested following police raids on a number of properties in the City of Discovery. Officers from Police Scotland searched residential properties in the city's Douglas, St Mary's and Lochee areas, and a business premises in Douglas as part of the sting. The force said at the time of the arrests that they were not the end of the investigation, and that a probe into illegal activity in the city was still ongoing.
