A huge vinyl fair is taking over Sunset Strip for one day only

As long as Chateau Marmont remains active, the Sunset Strip will still be one of the coolest streets in the country. But for one day in August, the iconic stretch of Los Angeles will return to its glory days, when it was the epicenter of rock 'n' roll. Part of Summer on Sunset, Spinning Sunset: A Vinyl Wax Fair will take over The Pink Dot's parking lot on Saturday, August 16, from 1pm to 7pm. There, music fans, vinyl heads and bargain hunters can mix and mingle among booths from local record stores and vintage vendors while grooving to an all-vinyl DJ set. But that's only part of the all-day festivities. Sure, jamming with fellow music lovers on the Sunset Strip is a great way to spend a Saturday, but this is L.A. We can't just party all the time. Stores and hotels along the strip are also getting in on the action, including all-day, themed Soul Cycle classes. Also participating are Andaz West Hollywood, where Riot House restaurant hosts the event's official happy hour with specialty cocktails and food and drink discounts, and Hotel Ziggy, which will host the official after party from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Meanwhile, Sunset House LA hosts a one-day gallery pop-up, The Rebel Lens Gallery + Vinyl Spinning, which pairs some of the most iconic photos in music history with DJ sets to try to recapture some of the magic that made the Strip so iconic. Popular restaurant Katana will offer thirsty patrons a specialty drink for the day, and Cavatina at Sunset Marquis will have a "Sunset Vinyl Vibes Menu," with food and drinks named after artists and albums, plus a "Heaven's Door Whiskey Flight" for $35. Also at the Marquis, DJs will be spinning poolside all day before moving into Bar 1200 for the night. And check out the discounts offered just for that day by Pink Dot & Urbn Leaf, Book Soup and The Viper Room. Spinning Sunset is the centerpiece event of Summer on Sunset, dedicated to reminding people just how cool and cultural that little stretch of street is. After all, where else can you enjoy a happy hour with both $9 glasses of wine and stunning views of the Los Angeles skyline than at Mondrian's iconic Skybar?

Sunsoaked socialites! Lady Mary Charteris and Jazzy De Lisser lead group of jet-setting models at ultra-luxurious holiday - as they watch pal Sienna Miller 'get married'

Lady Mary Charteris and Jazzy De Lisser are among a group of jet-setting socialites soaking up the sun, sand, and sea with Sienna Miller on a very glamorous European holiday. Jazzy, the stepdaughter of the late Marquess of Bute, shared snippets from the ultra-exclusive holiday on her Instagram Stories on Wednesday. One photo showed Sienna - who recently attended the Wimbledon tennis tournament with her boyfriend Oli Green - dressed in a summery, white dress from Jazzy and her step-sister, Lola Bute's label DeBute. The actress, 43, epitomised boho-chic as she went barefoot and tied her blonde locks into a messy bun as Jazzy photographed her at what appeared to be thro group's luxe accommodation. Another shot posted on Jazzy's Stories showed the property's infinity pool and garden that overlooked a pristine, blue sea. The British It Girl, who recently appeared on Lena Dunham 's Netflix rom-com Too Much, also posted a picture of Sienna holding hands with her long-time publicist and friend, Tori Cook. Tori also wore white and Jazzy's picture showed the pair looking visibly emotional during what appears to be some kind of spiritual ceremony. Sienna, who was Tori's 'Mate of Honour' at her 2021 wedding to event producer Hugo Heathcote, wore her hair in waves with two braids at the front. Jazzy's Stories showed the group enjoyed wood-fired pizzas with a breathtaking view of cliffs and the sun setting over the sea. In another photo, the group came together for a selfie, as Lady Mary - a regular fixture of high-society bible Tatler - posed for the camera while wearing a full face of makeup. It comes after the artistocrat - whose father is the 13th Earl of Wemyss - opened up about suffering from a mysterious illness that left her bedridden, unable to eat, and struggling with depression and anxiety. Months later, Mary - who has a four-year-old daughter with her musician husband Robbie Furze - appeared healthy and happy, as she let down her hair and enjoyed a relaxing getaway with her friends. Jazzy also documented her own holiday style as she donned a red gingham bikini under a white shirt from her own label, with a pair of cropped denim shorts. It isn't clear whether Jazzy was joined by her step-sister, and the co-founder of their lable, Lola. While Lola did not share any holiday pictures, she posted a heartfelt tribute to her father, the Marquess of Bute, who died from cancer in 2021 at the age of 62. Lola posted her 'first selfie' that showed John holding her when she was a baby. Jazzy's Stories showed the group enjoyed wood-fired pizzas with a breathtaking view of cliffs and the sun setting over the sea While it is not known where the group were holidaying, they can often be seen on each other's socials and have been known to jet off to exotic destinations together. In 2022, they flew to Formentera to celebrate Cara Delevigne's 30th birthday before continuing the party in Ibiza. Last May, they congregated for Lady Lola's 25th birthday bash - dubbed the 'party of the year' - during a weekend-long celebration in Scotland. It comes after Lady Mary was spotted partying with Joe Jonas, Noel Gallagher, and makeup mogul Charlotte Tilbury in London's posh Notting Hill neighbourhood this March. The 37-year-old DJ had a night off the decks to let her hair down with the famous group, as they were pictured heading to a karaoke night in West London. Last year, Mary revealed she went sober - so there's no doubt she enjoyed a night free of alcohol with her celeb pals. At the time, she took to Instagram to share a snap at the launch party of a non-alcoholic sparkling rose by Della Vite - the brand created by sisters Chloe, Poppy, and Cara Delevigne. 'Finally something for the non drinkers,' Mary wrote. She added: 'I haven't drunk for six years, five months and 22 days but who's counting. I'm always looking for other options when I'm out. 'Thank you Della Vite for catering to everyone. And thank you for having me to DJ the launch of your zero alcohol Prosecco. The youngest Delevingne sister, model and actress, Cara, 31, who previously checked herself into rehab after struggling with addiction, has also appeared to take a liking to the tee-total beverage, and clutched a bottle of it at Glastonbury. Mary shared snaps of her DJing at the launch party - one of her many creative talents, with her also being a member of electronic rock band The Big Pink. She was once known as a wild party girl. Now, the model/DJ/singer/IT Girl, continues her fun-filled endeavours - such as her most recent Eurpean getaway with long-time friend Sienna - but booze-free.
