England v Jamaica live: Lionesses team news ahead of Euro 2025 send-off match
The defending European champions will begin their tournament against France in Zurich on Saturday but have organised a final friendly against Jamaica to sharpen their preparations. Wiegman is close to knowing her starting line-up, but some spots are still up for grabs.
Among them, Lauren James is ready to play some minutes from the bench as the Chelsea forward returns from a hamstring injury, while Wiegman will be eager to see how ready her team is against a Jamaica side who surprised everyone by reaching the last-16 of the 2023 World Cup.
The 'Reggae Girlz' are without a number of key players, however, including captain and star striker Khadija 'Bunny' Shaw. England, though, will be hoping to head to Switzerland on the back of a good result and positive performance.

Lauren James is ready to play some part, but is likely to start on the bench as she builds up her fitness. Sarina Wiegman confirmed everyone else is ready to play 90 minutes, including Georgia Stanway - who has recently returned from a knee injury. This is the last chance for Weigman to offer a first cap to Khiara Keating and Anna Moorhouse, who will be the deputy to Hannah Hampton at the Euros.

England face Jamaica in the send-off for Euro 2025 as the Lionesses step up their preparations for their title defence with a friendly in Leicester.
The European champions open their tournament against France in Zurich on Saturday, kicking off the 'group of death' with games against Netherlands and Wales also to come.
England have not played since a 6-0 win over Portugal and 2-1 defeat against Spain to end their Nations League campaign a few weeks ago, but have organised a friendly against Jamaica to sharpen their build-up.
Lauren James is available to return to play some minutes after recovering from a hamstring injury, with Sarina Wiegman including seven players in her squad who are set to play at their first major tournament.
This will also be the last chance for some players to state their case to start against France on Saturday.

Habib Diarra: Sunderland break club transfer record with £27m deal
Sunderland have broken their transfer record for the second time since they were promoted to the Premier League with the signing of Habib Diarra from Strasbourg for a fee that could rise to £30million. The club have paid £27million for the 21-year-old Senegal international, who scored in his country's 3-1 victory against England at the City Ground last month. There is potentially a further £3million in add-ons. The fee tops the permanent signing of the French midfielder Enzo Le Fée, whose move from Roma could eventually cost the club £20million. Diarra will be a direct replacement for Jobe Bellingham, who moved to Borussia Dortmund last month for a fee that could rise beyond £30million. Diarra has 11 caps for his country and was a regular in the Strasbourg side who finished seventh in Ligue One last season. 'Habib is an exciting talent and we are delighted to welcome him to Sunderland,' Kristjaan Speakman, the Sunderland sporting director, said. Arsenal complete £5m deal for Arrizabalaga Arsenal have confirmed the signing of the goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea after activating the Spaniard's £5million release clause (Tom Allnutt writes). Arrizabalaga has signed a three-year contract and will provide cover for David Raya next season. Arrizabalaga joined Chelsea for £71.6million from Athletic Bilbao in 2018, which is still the world-record transfer fee for a goalkeeper. But he struggled for consistency at Chelsea and eventually joined Real Madrid on loan for the 2023-24 campaign, where he was signed after an injury to Thibaut Courtois. Arrizabalaga made 35 appearances last season during another loan at Bournemouth, who were unable to afford a permanent deal due to the 30-year-old's wages. Arsenal were also keen on Espanyol's Joan García this summer but the 24-year-old has opted to sign for Barcelona, prompting the move for Arrizabalaga instead.
