Florida four-star 2026 center and state champ wrestler Ryan Miret visits Nebraska
The Huskers welcomed various recruits to Lincoln this weekend, including a four-star center and state champ wrestler. Ryan Miret, a four-star center from Miami (Fla.) Southridge officially visited on Friday and is spending the weekend in Lincoln, visiting both the wrestling and football teams.
Miret received an offer from Nebraska back in late January. His trip to Lincoln is the first of four in the month. He is also set to visit Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, and Miami.
Miret is down to four teams for his commitment, which is currently set for June 25. He is deciding between Nebraska, Ole Miss, Miami, and Georgia Tech.
The Miami, Florida, native transitioned from defensive line to center ahead of his junior year. He played defense for Southridge in his sophomore season, racking up 23 tackles. At center, Miret helped his team to a FHSAA 6A state semifinal finish in 2024. He stands at 6-foot-4 and 300 pounds.
Miret also wrestles for Southridge, winning the FHSAA 3A state championship in the 285-pound weight class his junior year after placing 3rd his sophomore season.

Notre Dame and UConn set to renew women's basketball rivalry in 2025-26

Defending national champion UConn announced its non-conference schedule for its 2025-26 slate on Friday morning, and it includes the Fighting Irish. Certainly this is a marquee matchup for defending ACC player of the year Hannah Hidalgo and the Irish, as big games like this one are great for the sport. Michigan State football punter named to Ray Guy award watchlist
Michigan State football is starting to develop a reputation as one of the top programs for punters in the country. For the third year in a row, MSU punter Ryan Eckley has been named to the Ray Guy award watchlist, which is given to the top punter in college football. Michigan State has never had a punter win the prestigious award, although many fans believed Bryce Baringer should have taken the honor back in 2022, when he narrowly lost to Adam Korsak of Rutgers. Eckley took over for Baringer in 2023, and remarkably, there was barely a dip in performance. Eckley averaged 46.7 yards per punt in 2023 and 47.9 yards per punt last season. In 2024, 13.95 percent of his punts landed within the 20-yard line.
