Twelve teaser: Evil force awakens in Park Hyung Sik as Ma Dong Seok's angel squad gears up for battle
At the core of this epic tale is a star-studded cast, including Ma Dong Seok, Park Hyung Sik, Seo In Guk, and Sung Dong Il, who bring their signature intensity. Adding to this list will be Lee Joo Bin, Go Kyu Pil, Kang Mina, Sung Yoo Bin, Ahn Ji Hye, and Regina Lei rounding out the cast, Twelve promises to bring both star power and unforgettable performances.
The myth of the Twelve angels
Based on the legend of the 12 Eastern zodiac animals, Twelve portrays the narrative of a hidden order of angels who once gave up everything to shut away demonic forces threatening the Korean Peninsula. Four angels died in the conflict, and the eight survivors have since gone into hiding, living peacefully in human form and vowing never to meddle again.
However, evil is never buried. The teaser begins with Tae San (Ma Dong Seok), one of the remaining angels, attempting to live a normal life. That serenity is disrupted when Sa Min (Kim Chan Hyung) unleashes a long-dormant evil force known as Ogui (Park Hyung Sik), a formidable demon formerly sealed in the depths of hell.As chaos ensues, Sa Min declares, "Now, I will turn the world into hell and transform all humans into evil spirits."
Faced with a growing threat, the angels must decide whether to violate their promise. Their commander, Ma Rok (Sung Dong Il), provides a stern reminder: "The reason we exist is to help the human world."
A war reignited
The teaser erupts into action, revealing each angel's distinct talents and battle abilities. In a disturbing image, Ogui spreads his dark wings, indicating the immensity of the threat that lies ahead.
The world's balance is at jeopardy, setting the stage for an epic confrontation between light and darkness. Will the Angel Squad rise again, or is humanity condemned to fall?
The highly anticipated 8-episode fantasy drama Twelve is set to premiere on Disney+ on August 23.

Why is BLACKPINK Rosé's 2022 selfie with Gal Gadot going viral now? Old pic resurfaces amid boycott backlash
Fanwars are nothing new in K-pop, but since the Israeli-Palestinian conflict began, even the smallest actions by idols -what they wear, drink, or post - have sparked outrage. BLACKPINK's Rosé is now under renewed scrutiny as fans resurface her 2022 photo with Gal Gadot, questioning why she's escaped backlash while others haven't. The controversy reignited after BTS' Jungkook appeared in a post-workout photo shared by his trainer, Ma Sun Ho. While most fans admired his new chest tattoo, some zoomed in on the Starbucks cup in his hand - leading to online uproar. This sparked fresh fanwars, with many calling out the double standards in how BTS and BLACKPINK idols are treated. Are Gal Gadot and Rosé associated? BLACKPINK's Rosé and Hollywood star Gal Gadot crossed paths at the Tiffany & Co. event in June 2022. The moment went viral when Gadot posted a glowing selfie with Rosé, calling her "sweet @roses_are_rosie" on her Instagram story - instantly sending fans into a frenzy. What was once celebrated as a charming celebrity crossover has now become a flashpoint. With Gadot facing mounting backlash over her political stance, Rosé is being dragged into the fire. The resurgence of the photo isn't due to any new development between the two - but because it's being repurposed in the middle of a heated boycott against Gadot, triggered by her vocal support for Israel. BLACKPINK's Rosé faces online backlash That backlash, which began in 2024 and intensified into 2025, has turned every past association of Gadot into ammunition - including this seemingly innocent selfie. Now, the resurfaced image has reignited online chaos. K-pop fans are questioning why Rosé is linked to such a polarizing figure. Why is no one cancelling Blackpink's Rosé for associating herself with Gal Gadot, an known IDF soldier who has participated in the killing and genocide of Palestinians. Or do you all only care about palestine when it comes to using it for your own benefit? the day Rosé proudly posed with Gal Gadot… a woman who served in the IDF — no one cared or tried to 'cancel' her because it's Rosé. just a reminder that everything didn't start on october 7, 2023… ROSÉ is besties with gal gadot— gal gadot is actively supporting the genocide of palestinians, blood on her hands! she was a former IOF (israeli occupation force) soldier. everyone knows this! but no one will bat an eye because it's blackpink. However, her fans argue that she's being unfairly targeted and shouldn't even be brought into the conversation, as the two met in 2022 - long before the boycotts began. Others, however, counter that the conflict between the two countries didn't start on October 7, 2023, but has been ongoing for years. ROSÉ new crime update: reposting a story that gal gadot posted 2736468 years ago at a randm event?? #freerosé More about BLACKPINK's Rosé At the moment, the idol is occupied with her group's ongoing world tour, DEADLINE, which kicked off on July 5, 2025, at Goyang Stadium in South Korea. The tour is set to wrap up on January 25, 2026, at Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong. Their next stop is on August 9 at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Head Over Heels review: Choo Young Woo, Cho Yi-hyun shine in wholesome K-drama
If you've been ardent K-drama watcher and longed for the emotional rush of early 2000s K-dramas, 'Head Over Heels' might just be your next on the popular webtoon by Ahn Su-min, 'Head Over Heels' follows Park Seong-ah (Cho Yi-hyun of 'All of Us Are Dead' fame), a young shaman gifted, or burdened, with the ability to foresee the future. She attempts to change the tragic fate of her first love, Bae Gyeon-woo (Choo Young-woo of 'Mercy For None' fame), a teenager seemingly destined for misfortune since birth. With only 21 days in his hands, what unfolds is a heartwarming journey that blends love, and mythology into one neatly packed series. advertisement'Head Over Heels' stands out as one of the best K-dramas of 2025 without a doubt. The show expertly balances diverse genres- young love, spiritual fantasy, coming-of-age, and friendships without leaning too heavily into any single trope. Its tone is whimsical yet grounded, evoking the narrative innocence of early K-drama classics, while still feeling fresh and in line to today's sensibilities. The pacing is tight, emotionally charged, and never dragging. Choo Young-woo shines in his portrayal of Bae Gyeon-woo, navigating a role that demands both vulnerability and charisma. He threads his performance with a sensitivity that's rare in young actors, easily making him one to watch (and stan). Meanwhile, Cho Yi-hyun delivers arguably one of her most nuanced performances to date. As Seong-ah, she embodies innocence, resilience, and quiet fury with equal power, creating a compelling, complex female lead who anchors the Kang-yoon [Resident Playbook] as Pyo Ji-ho is a delightful addition to the narrative. His camaraderie with both Young-woo and Yi-hyun adds another layer of levity and heart into the storyline. Whether through dry wit or 'touching' sincerity (pun intended), Kang-yoon often steals the scene with comic timing and warmth. His presence expands the core duo into a heartfelt trio, grounding the show's themes of friendship and loyalty. Another value addition is Kim Mi-kyung [Healer] as Seong-a's spirit mother. There is no denying that she is perhaps one of the most versatile actors in the industry and she proves exactly why she is reliable yet again in 'Head Over Heels'.Their chemistry, sometimes endearing, sometimes hilarious, anchors the narrative in both romance and said, for those unfamiliar with Korean mythology or fantastical storytelling tropes, the later episodes might come off as a bit dense. But a little patience will make it worth the trouble.'Head Over Heels' is a reminder that love stories, when layered with myth and magic, can still feel refreshing when grounded in strong performances and thoughtful writing. It's heartfelt, beautifully shot, and funny.'Head Over Heels' succeeds in delivering a story that lingers, equal parts sweet, sad, and spellbinding. It has a total of 12 episodes, available for streaming on Prime Video in India.- EndsMust Watch
