Kangana Ranaut To Make Hollywood Debut With A Horror Film; Exciting Deets Inside
Kangana Ranaut's Hollywood debut will also star Teen Wolf star Tyler Posey and Scarlet Rose Stallone.
Kangana Ranaut is all set to make her Hollywood debut. As reported by Variety, the National Award-winning actress will be seen in the horror drama 'Blessed Be the Evil'. As per the synopsis, the film follows a Christian couple who, after experiencing a devastating miscarriage, purchase an abandoned farm with a dark past. However, their love and faith are soon tested by a malevolent presence.
Produced by Lions Movies, the film will also star Teen Wolf star Tyler Posey and Scarlet Rose Stallone, apart from Kangana Ranaut. The film will be directed by Anurag Rudra. 'Being born and spending my childhood in rural India, I was told stories that got embedded in my mind and heart," he said, while talking about the project.
'This folklore was so special that I truly believed in all the stories, and wanted to showcase them internationally through the art of cinema – the strongest and most beautiful way to connect to dreams and reality," the director added.
Reportedly, the production of the film is set to begin this summer in New York. It is being said that the producers specifically chose U.S. locations to 'avoid running into any uncertainties stemming from the recently announced Trump industry tariffs."
Kangana Ranaut was last seen in Emergency. Released on January 17, the film starred Kangana as former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The actress not only played the lead in Emergency but also directed it. The film explored the 21-month Emergency imposed by Gandhi, from 1975 to 1977, often referred to as the darkest chapter of independent India.
Besides Ranaut, Emergency also starred Anupam Kher as Jayaprakash Narayan, Shreyas Talpade as Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Mahima Chaudhry as Pupul Jayakar, Milind Soman as Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw and Vishak Nair as Sanjay Gandhi.
Emergency received mixed reviews from all and failed to leave a mark at the box office. It earned only Rs 20 crore in India.

Apple on Friday (July 25) unveiled a first-look teaser of its upcoming sci-fi series Pluribus, which is Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan's return to television. Starring Rhea Seehorn (who starred in Gilligan's Breaking Bad spin-off Better Call Saul), the nine-episode series premieres with its first two episodes on Apple TV+ on November 5, followed by new episodes every Friday. In the extremely unsettling 30-second first-look teaser, we see a woman wearing pink scrubs lick donuts before placing them in a box that reads 'Help yourself.' Meanwhile, the first-look image of Seehorn from the series features the actor's character, on a phone call, looking ahead with a puzzled expression.
