It's got rich history too dating back to the Mesolithic era, it's also known as "Kingdom of Fife" and was once the home of many Scottish monarchs. Nowadays it is well-known for its two sandy beaches, Kinghorn Harbour beach and Pettycur Bay beach, which are what is listed as the best thing to do on Tripadvisor. One visitor to Pettycur Bay wrote: "Just love this little gem! When the tide is out there's a ridiculously huge expansive beach that goes for miles. "It's never mobbed there I can't understand why because it's an awesome place. On a clear day, there are good views of the Forth bridges." Anyone who wants to head to Kinghorn on a break can stay at the Pettycur Bay Holiday Park. The park is found on a hill overlooking the Firth of Forth, so you will almost always have the best views around. As for facilities, the Pettycur Bay Holiday Park has an indoor swimming pool, amusement arcade, and children's play areas both indoors and outdoors. There's also a restaurant, a lounge bar and live entertainment like quizzes, magic shows and singers. He continued to add that supplies could be picked up at the small shop in the Bay Hotel, less than a five-minute walk away. And with a swimming pool, bar and restaurant there was actually no need to venture outside the park. The holiday park is also one hour away from the popular cities of St Andrews and Edinburgh. Currently, Kinghorn in Fife is starring in the ITV detective drama, Karen Pirie. Other filming locations include Loch Locmond, Glasgow, Glenrothes, and the historic Caiplie Caves. I tried all day breakfast at Boswells Cafe in Newport

So, with this belief in mind, I decided to check out a place that always looks busy whenever I walk past it in the Kingsway Shopping Centre. Boswells Café doesn't exactly scream fine dining but from a distance I always appreciated its humble charm. Boswells Cafe always appears busy in the Kingsway Shopping Centre. (Image: Newsquest) On Tripadvisor it has an average rating of 3.7 stars out of 5 which is slightly on the low side and it's easy to perceive that an establishment with less than four stars won't be great. However, you never have the full picture of a restaurant unless you physically go there and order food. In terms of service, I was warmly greeted by a member of staff at the cash register who took my order. My food arrived in adequate time and another member of staff offered to bring me cutlery without me even asking. I was happy with the service in the cafe. (Image: Newsquest) As for the meal itself, there was a sizable portion which is always appreciated whenever you eat out – unless you're going to a fine dining restaurant you expect to feel full once you finish. That was the case at Boswells. The two eggs, two sausages, two rashers of bacon, baked beans and chips was enough to leave me feeling satisfied. Everything was well-cooked and tasted fresh. My only gripes with the meal was that it didn't come with toast or a hot drink. I feel like this is a standard expectation when ordering a full English or Welsh breakfast and paying £10.50. To sum it up, if you're passing through the Kingsway Shopping Centre, I would recommend grabbing something from Boswells. It wasn't the best full breakfast I have ever had, but it was tasty, filling and reasonably priced. This is my honest opinion of the café, yet you can look at other reviews on Tripadvisor for a different point of view.
